Hogwarts Lion Girl
Chapter 41 Dobby the Troublemaker
The atmosphere in the stadium became more tense because of Ron's shouting, and a restless mood quickly spread in the stands.
Ginny's eyes also flashed with worry, "Selina, Harry will definitely get hurt if this goes on! What should we do now?" Her voice was weak, like a fallen leaf floating in the rough sea, which could be swallowed by the waves at any time.
"Ginny, don't worry too much. It seems that there is indeed something wrong with the Bludger. I will go ask the professor for help." Salina patted the back of Ginny's hand and swept her eyes across the entire sports field.
Ginny and Colin exchanged worried glances, but were also slightly comforted by Salina's determination hidden beneath her calm appearance.
It had to be Dobby, the house-elf.
Salina noticed Dobby in a corner, twisting its long ears nervously and blinking its bloodshot eyes.
Harry's efforts to get rid of the Bludger attracted almost everyone's attention. However, Fred and George, as the batsmen, glimpsed Harry's danger and swung their rackets without hesitation, trapping Harry from the front and the back, like two indestructible barriers cutting through the sky.
Fred's movements were powerful and he kept knocking away the Bludger that was rushing towards Harry. His movements were sharp and each shot was full of urgency and accuracy.
George provided support from below, and every time the bludger passed Fred, George would quickly fill in the position and accurately repel the ball.
However, while Harry was given a precious breather, the situation on the other side of the field was causing heavy feelings among the Gryffindor supporters.
The Slytherin Chasers took advantage of Fred and George's moment of distraction and launched a fierce attack.
They cut through the wind and rain as nimbly as cheetahs, giving full play to the team's tacit understanding and tactical layout, and shot the ball steadily into the three-ring gate one after another, as if the arrow was on a string and could not be missed.
As two balls went into the net, Slytherin's score rose sharply. Along with the cheers and applause of their supporters, the Gryffindor audience couldn't help but frown, and worry gradually appeared on their faces.
Such a situation is undoubtedly a big blow to Gryffindor, but the game is far from over. Everyone knows that anything is possible on the Quidditch field.
What flashed in Fred and George's eyes was not retreat, but a stronger determination. They knew that as long as Harry was safe, Gryffindor still had a chance.
Wood called a time-out and waved his hand, and all the Gryffindor players quickly gathered around him, their brooms forming a tight circle in the air.
Wood frowned, his eyes flashing with annoyance and unwillingness.
"What's going on? This is not our tactics! Now everything is messed up!" Wood asked. Although his voice was blown away by the wind, it was like a shock wave among the Gryffindor players.
"Fred, George! You are the batsmen! Can you keep an eye on that Bludger running around like a mad dog?"
Angelina's face showed anxiety. "There were several times when I almost scored the ball, but the Bludger's sudden attack was too fierce. I didn't even have a chance to react."
Fred and George looked at each other, and then George responded angrily, "That ball must have been tampered with! It shouldn't have come back from that direction after I hit it." Although his voice was filled with anger and urgency, it still clearly conveyed the serious situation that everyone had to face.
"Who could have tampered with it? Madam Hooch checked it before the match started."
An air of silence spread among the Gryffindor players, silently questioning the fairness of this game.
Had they been rigged only this morning, or had some detail escaped Madam Hooch's notice led to this unusual chase?
There were many doubts, but Harry knew that at this moment, he had no time to delve into them. He had to concentrate all his attention on how to catch the Golden Snitch.
"No matter what, as long as I can catch the Golden Snitch, we will still be the winner of this game!" Although Harry's voice was a little short of breath, it sounded extremely firm.
Harry's eyes pierced through the rain and fixed on the triumphant figures of the Slytherin team members. Their arrogant smiles mixed with sharp insults echoed in the air.
In the wind and rain, Harry felt that every breath he exhaled was heavier than usual. He wiped the mist off his glasses vigorously, and an unshakable determination rose in his heart.
"I'll handle this crazy Bludger myself. Fred, George, you guys prioritize protecting the other team members." Harry's voice was steady, but he looked tired. He barely maintained his composure.
"Harry!" There was a firmness and a hint of urgency in Fred's voice, and his eyes revealed his deep concern for his friend's safety.
"That thing is not so easy to deal with! If you get hit by it, you will definitely be seriously injured!" There was no exaggeration in George's words, only the danger and urgency that could not be ignored.
Wood was silent for a moment, his eyes wavering between Harry and the twins, and finally he glanced at all the teammates who were waiting for instructions in the wind and rain, and the determination on his face gradually replaced by deep thought. "Harry, can you really handle it?"
"Oliver, are you confused too?" whispered Alicia Spinnet.
"Harry is only in his second year, he can't handle it on his own." She continued, her tone full of unquestionable determination. "We should ask the professors to investigate!"
The knot between Wood's brows deepened. Harry's safety, the team's honor, and his own responsibilities, the burden on his heart became heavier. He knew that he had to make a choice.
"No." Harry shook his head hastily. "If we apply for an investigation now and find no results, we will be declared the loser! How can we just give up like this?"
The cold rain continued to hit everyone fiercely. Although his heart was full of hesitation and uneasiness, Wood's eyes were clear and determined.
Harry's thin figure trembled slightly in the rain, as if a gust of wind could blow him away, but the burning spark in his eyes gave strength to the Gryffindor players around him.
"Harry..." Wood's eyes were fixed on Harry.
Then Wood turned around, his voice more resolute than before, echoing in the rushing wind, "New plan! Ignore the Bludger, and focus on stopping the Slytherin guys!"
Fred and George looked at each other in disbelief. Perhaps there was disapproval of Wood's decision in their eyes, but they also didn't want to lose to Slytherin.
