Hogwarts's Master of Mind

Chapter 118: The Game of the Ministry of Magic

After leaving the Leaky Cauldron, Aiden arrived in Whitehall, London.

Walking into the red telephone booth, picking up the phone, Aiden dialed ''

A pass fell out of the coin return slot, and then the phone booth began to sink.

When they arrived at the main hall of the Ministry of Magic, a man was already waiting for Aiden inside.

"Haha, Dragon, you come to play with me again?" The Director of the Department of Mysteries smiled.

"Ah, why do you always call me dragon?" Aiden sighed.

"Can't you scream?" The director acted cute, and Aiden could clearly sense the evil taste in his eyes beneath the hood.

"Whatever. I don't have time to chat with you today. I'm here to do some work."

Aiden pushed him aside and walked forward. The strange thing was that these two people were so conspicuous, but the Ministry of Magic employees coming and going ignored them.

Aiden stuffed his visitor card into the ticket machine and walked into the hall. There was a long queue at the visitor desk, and it seemed that it would not be Aiden's turn for a while.

"Hehe, you need me to lead the way. Visitor cards can only be reserved at the lobby. Although I don't know where you want to go, Long, but if you want to go through the procedures, you will have to wait until next week.

Otherwise, why don't you join us? Then you can come and accompany us every day." The director gave Aiden a wink.

"No. I can go up by myself." Aiden rolled his eyes.

"Forget it, you disappointed dragon. I'll take you up there. Otherwise, it will be bad if you start a fight with them. Although these insects are incompetent, without them, the chaos will only spread."

The director led Aiden to the elevator. He took out his card and swiped it on the elevator, which slowly moved upwards.

"How do you know where I'm going?" Aiden asked curiously.

"Of course I know, because Long's friend was arrested and we are paying attention to it." The director explained.

"You guys?" Aiden's scalp suddenly went numb.

"Oh, Long, you may not know this, but you have quite a few fans in the Department of Mysteries." The director's mouth curled up slightly, appearing even more mysterious.

"You guys are still chasing stars?" Aiden felt a little unbelievable. "No, I'm not a star, am I?"

"But you are related to our work, and you are pretty. There are many young ladies in the company who are clamoring for me to catch the dragon back."

Aiden wanted to ask more, but with a click, the elevator arrived at the second floor, the Department of Magical Law Enforcement.

"We're here. You go ahead. I should go back too." The director didn't give Aiden a chance to ask more questions and operated the elevator and left.

On the second floor, a witch came up and stretched out her hand to shake Aiden's.

"Hello. Amelia Bones, Head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement."

"Hello, Chief Bones, I'm Aiden Prewett." Aiden greeted.

The witch looked at Aiden carefully and said, "There's nothing special about you except that you look good. How did that old man from the Department of Mysteries bring you up here personally?"

It seems that this lady is indeed as decisive as the rumors say.

"Maybe we all have a common enemy?" Aiden asked tentatively.

"Huh?" Amelia Bones was a little confused.

"Forget it, don't waste time. Tell me the purpose of your visit." Ms. Bones went straight to the point.

"Ma'am, it's like this. I need to retrieve the trial files on the wizard Rupert Hagrid from fifty years ago." Aiden explained his purpose.

"Well, it's a concluded case. Tell me why I should get the case file for you." Ms. Bones looked up at Aiden.

“Madam, Article 2 of the Magic Code states that the task of the law is to ensure that criminal facts are accurately and promptly ascertained, that the law is correctly applied, that criminals are punished, and that innocent people are protected from criminal prosecution.

Article 6: Criminal prosecutions by the Department of Magical Law Enforcement must be based on facts and in accordance with the law. All wizards shall be treated equally under the law, and no privileges shall be allowed before the law.

Aiden read out the terms carefully, staring straight at Bones with his eyes that could penetrate into people's hearts.

"So, what you mean is that your friend was wrongly accused?" Bones immediately understood what Aiden meant.

"May I show you his memory?"

Aiden then used his wand to summon the Pensieve he had borrowed from Dumbledore.

He took out a glass bottle and threw Hagrid's memories into it, and the Pensieve began to play the facts of fifty years ago.

After Director Bones finished reading Hagrid's memory, he fell into deep thought.

"This was indeed an oversight by the previous director. We convicted an innocent person and made him suffer injustice."

Director Bones called his men and took Aiden into the archives room and began to look through the files from fifty years ago.

"Merlin, I can't appear anymore. They...they actually..."

Opening Hagrid's file, Ms. Bones let out a sharp cry. This lady who has devoted her entire life to fighting for the law was hit hard.

"Oh, what did those idiots from the previous term do? Torture, fabrication of evidence, tampering with testimony. These idiots didn't even clean up the alterations in the testimony."

Looking at the childish files in front of her, Ms. Bones slumped in her chair as if someone had pulled out her spine.

"Let me give you a suggestion."

The dragon at the side made a tempting voice, and the dragon active in the heart bared its fangs.

"Tell me."

Ms. Bones, with her keen political sense, sensed the undercurrents behind this case.

"Firstly, the imprisonment of non-trial wizards was done by Minister Fudge, and the trial of the innocent wizard Hagrid was also an oversight by the previous Department of Law Enforcement.

So, my advice is, ladies, don't do anything." Aiden's eyes curved into crescents, and his heterochromatic pupils sparkled like gemstones.

"Do nothing. Do you want me to sit back and watch innocent people suffer injustice?" Ms. Bones stood up and issued a harsh accusation to Aiden.

"No, no, no, ma'am, we are still a long way from the end of Fudge's seven-year term, and it would be irrational to confront him head-on at this time.

All we have to do is bide our time, and as far as the Department of Magical Law Enforcement is concerned, we can simply announce that a fifty-year-old scroll has been lost."

Aiden secretly switched pronouns in his speech, bringing the two closer together. The dream walker's ability combined with words made Aiden's words unstoppable.

"What use can a single dossier serve?" Ms. Bones wondered.

"This mysteriously lost file will be accidentally picked up by a professional, and then someone will analyze the Ministry of Magic's past actions from it.

And somehow it was accidentally leaked to various media. The wizards' simple sense of justice will push them to start criticizing the Ministry of Magic.

At this time, the righteous Department of Magical Law Enforcement responded to the demands of the wizards and stepped forward to investigate the case. Everything is so logical, isn't it? "

Aiden touched his fingers lightly and looked at Ms. Bones through the gaps in his palms.

"Huh, little brat, are you really a Ravenclaw?" Ms. Bones seemed to agree with this plan.

"Maybe the old hat thinks I no longer need to draw nourishment from Slytherin." Aiden winked at Ms. Bones.

"Happy working together?" Aiden extended his hand.

"It's a pleasure working with you." Ms. Bones shook Aiden's hand.
