Hogwarts's Master of Mind

Chapter 126 Public Opinion and Fudge's Response

When Aiden woke up, it was already afternoon.

A silver phoenix looked at Aiden quietly.

"Well, at least you didn't wake me up directly." After getting dressed, Aiden followed.

They arrived at the hospital wing, where Dumbledore was coaxing Lockhart.

"Wow, you guys are so awesome, is this magic?" Lockhart even reached out to grab Dumbledore's wand.

"Roar, you look much better now than before. Come, let me make another snowflake for you." Dumbledore shook his wand, and snowflakes floated in the air.

Ignoring Madam Pomfrey's death glare, Dumbledore walked towards Aiden.

"I suspect you hired Gilderoy Lockhart just for fun." Aiden's beautiful heterochromatic eyes have turned into dead fish eyes.

"No, I was attracted by the magical experiences in his book." Dumbledore winked at Aiden.

"Okay, what exactly do you want me to do?" Aiden was too lazy to listen to Dumbledore's nonsense and got straight to the point.

Dumbledore handed Aiden a copy of the Daily Prophet. The front page read: Shocking, an injustice from fifty years ago comes to light.

"Hagrid's case has been overturned, and Ms. Bones has suddenly demonstrated her unparalleled political skills. Does our lovely Mr. Prewett have any clues about this matter?"

Dumbledore took out the candy and stuffed it into his mouth, tilting the box towards Aiden.

"It provided a little insignificant help, and it was able to vindicate Hagrid, and by the way, it gave the minister who was always eyeing other people's property something to do." Aiden's eyebrows curved into crescents, and a look of joy appeared in his heterochromatic eyes.

"Child, don't get too close to power, even if you have unparalleled talent." Dumbledore advised seriously.

"Principal, you know people's minds too well. Besides, it's not me who is getting closer to power, it's them who want to share me." Aiden sighed.

The two fell silent.

"Forget it, you will be able to handle it. I just hope you won't sink into it." Dumbledore was the first to relax.

"Degenerate and become a clown?" Aiden showed mockery and malice.

Dumbledore was somewhat surprised. It was the first time he felt such pure teasing from him.

"It seems that you have encountered something unpleasant. Do you want to talk to the old man? I am very tight-lipped." Dumbledore joked.

"Forget it. There's no need to spread negative emotions because of those guys." Aiden rolled his eyes.

......

Life in the academy is peaceful and cheerful, but outside the academy, the Ministry of Magic is full of undercurrents.

"What? My poll rating has dropped again. What do you do at the Daily Prophet to let this kind of news leak out?"

In the Minister of Magic's office, Fudge's voice was short and sharp.

"Umbridge, put me on the line to Amelia Bones," Fudge ordered angrily.

"Yes, Mr. Minister." Umbridge showed a toad smile.

Click, as the call was connected, Fudge immediately roared into the microphone.

"Amelia Bones, what on earth do you want to do? Will the fall of the Ministry of Magic do you any good?"

“Oh~, dear Minister, is there any problem with our Department of Magical Law Enforcement acting in accordance with the law?” Amelia Bones, an old politician, immediately played dumb.

"What's the question? I'm asking you, why were the details of Rupert Hagrid's case leaked like this? Who else could have leaked such detailed details except your Department of Magical Law Enforcement?" Fudge continued roaring into the microphone.

On the second floor, Ms. Bones held the microphone a little further away and gently cleaned her ears.

"Minister, this is really not a problem for our Department of Magical Law Enforcement. We were previously invaded by dark wizards and lost a large number of files. I clearly submitted the report to you on this matter, and you even signed it, saying that it would be dealt with later. Have you forgotten?"

Ms. Bones gently pushed the responsibility away, and at the same time loudly instructed her assistant to turn over Fudge's reply, deliberately letting the voice reach Fudge through the microphone.

In the minister's office, Fudge's face turned red with anger. He was breathing heavily, but he didn't know who to vent his anger on.

Ever since he embraced the pure-blood community last year, Fudge had been unhappy in every way. He even began to doubt whether it was right or wrong to abandon Dumbledore and turn to these people.

With all the questions resolved, Fudge had no choice but to lift him up high, put him down gently, and even coax his Director of the Law Enforcement Department in a gentle manner.

"Okay, Amelia, it's my fault. I've been so busy these days." Fudge's attitude softened instantly.

"It's okay, Minister. 'We' all understand your hardships, and the Ministry of Magic still relies on your 'dedication'." Bones said.

"Well, it's all for the wizarding world." After a few pleasantries, Fudge hung up the phone.

Meanwhile, in the office of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement, Ms. Bones had a mocking expression on her face.

Then she took out her monocle and sent a message to a mysterious person.

.....

The next day, the leisurely Aiden picked up the lemon juice and prepared to enjoy his breakfast.

"Son, it's not good to drink beverages so early in the morning," the system popped up.

"I can digest rocks even if I chew them in the morning." Aiden dismissed the system casually.

As the skylight of Hogwarts Castle opened, Ophia flew in with today's Daily Prophet.

She stood on Aiden's shoulder and pecked Aiden's head.

After feeding Ophia some nuts, Aiden untied the Daily Prophet from her paws.

Opening the Daily Prophet, the Ministry of Magic's response came. In the newspaper, Fudge denounced the previous Ministry of Magic's inaction and quickly cut ties with the previous team.

At the same time, he also fired a group of old employees to divert attention.

However, his terrible behavior did not make the masses buy into his ideas, and he further lost the support of the people in the Ministry of Magic, making it increasingly difficult to implement his policies.

"This guy is a genius" Aiden shook the newspaper and almost laughed out loud.

"Yeah, I've never seen such a 'smart' move." Edmund took a sip of his pumpkin juice.

"Are you serious? The current Minister of Magic is at this level. I feel like I can do it too." Ethan said shamelessly.

"It's not that simple. Haven't you noticed that there have been more and more undercurrents in recent years? Fudge can be a paperhanger in peacetime, but he cannot control the political situation in turbulent times." Aiden narrowed his eyes.

"For example, a certain mischievous dragon is adding fuel to the rapidly plummeting support rate." Oliver also made a rare joke.

After a period of treatment by Aiden, Oliver seems to have come out of the shadow of the past.

Aiden raised his eyebrows, said nothing, picked up the lemonade and drank it all.
