Hogwarts's Master of Mind
Chapter 142 Professor Flitwick Arrives to Help
The next day, Aiden opened his eyes in the Silent Man's dormitory in a daze, and a silver unicorn appeared in front of him.
For some reason, Aiden always sensed playful looks from the unicorn.
He threw back the covers and sat up, and the unicorn asked, "Did you sleep well?"
"Not good at all," Aiden muttered.
"Anyway, you can't blame us for not sleeping well. If you want to blame someone, blame the Ministry of Magic for not allocating funds."
It was as if the unicorn was actually talking to Aiden.
"I give up. Do you need a prophecy to send a message?" Aiden stood up and started to change his clothes.
The unicorn guardian seemed not to notice the beautiful scenery in front of him and continued talking to himself.
"We analyzed the thread you brought back. According to our speculation, this is a creation of the partial integration of the King of the Deep and Avalon."
"So what?" Aiden put on the last piece of clothing and walked out.
The unicorn followed Aiden and said, "We have hired an outside player. I believe you will get along well with him."
After saying that, the unicorn disappeared into the air due to being cut off from its magic power supply.
"Knock knock."
Aiden knocked on the door of the director's office and it opened automatically.
"Hey, Long, you're here. You seem to be adapting well to the life of the Silent Ones. Why don't you join us?"
The director was sitting at his desk. When he saw Aiden coming, he smiled brightly. But unfortunately, with his fox eyes, his smile seemed extremely cunning.
"No consideration, thank you. So, where is the foreign aid you mentioned?"
Aiden asked, and the director raised his hand to look at the mechanical watch on his hand and said,
"Calculating the time, it's almost time."
As soon as he finished speaking, there was another knock on the door.
As the door opened, a short half-elf with a white beard walked in.
"Professor Flitwick!!??" Aiden recognized the person.
"Oh, it's Aiden, why are you here too?" Professor Flitwick asked a little confused.
"Mr. Flitwick has already stepped onto the slate, you can chat with him without worry." The director also added at the right time.
"Well, my dear student, would you like me, your teacher, to understand your current situation?"
Professor Flitwick looked at Aiden, trying to find something extraordinary in his student.
"Could it be that the spell has a miraculous effect on the things down there?"
Professor Flitwick, who didn't get an answer, began to have wild thoughts.
"Oh, it's a headache. Please explain it to the professor."
Aiden was embarrassed, feeling like he was caught fooling around by the teacher, so he could only throw the question to the director.
"Well, Mr. Flitwick, you should know that Prewett was once the vanguard of the attack on goblins."
The director saw that Long was in a bad mood, so he had to smooth his scales to prevent him from going on strike completely.
"Yes, I have heard about it, but Aiden is too young now. How can we send a child to the battlefield?"
Although Professor Flitwick had heard of Prewett, he was still worried about his young student.
"No, no, no, that's because you don't know the details. Aiden must have some strengths to be a pioneer, right?"
The director clasped his hands together, glanced at Aiden who was lying on the sofa, and continued,
"And our main goal this time is to take control of Avalon. There's no need to fight head-on with the King of the Deep, who is an indestructible creature."
After hesitating for a while, Professor Flitwick finally stopped talking and nodded.
"Okay, let's discuss the battle plan."
When the director saw Professor Flitwick let go, he quickly threw out the plan.
"First, we need Mr. Flitwick to serve as the passage to Avalon. Then the Unspeakables will be responsible for setting up a bridgehead on the outer layer of Avalon. Finally, the Sharp Knife Squad will take back control of Avalon."
The director's tone was relaxed and simple, as if this plan was as easy as getting a bottle of Coke from the refrigerator.
"Well, all right, let's proceed according to your plan." Professor Flitwick nodded in agreement.
The plan was finalized, and the director led a group of people to the Big Brain Hall.
There are already many silent people wearing black and gold robes waiting here.
Oliver is here too, and he seems to be putting on his equipment.
"You are Oliver, a student from Ravenclaw. No, how could I have forgotten you before?"
Professor Flitwick, who was also on the slate, finally remembered his own students.
"Professor, it's an honor to fight alongside you." Oliver smiled.
"No, you joined the Unspoken People, so what about your studies?"
Professor Flitwick is an educator after all, and this is what he focuses on first and foremost.
"Professor, no one remembers Oliver anymore except us," Aiden came up and explained.
"This is ridiculous. How could you allow a child to enter this place? Are you the Silent People this kind of organization? An organization that specifically sends children to the battlefield!"
Professor Flitwick was enraged. It was the first time that Aiden saw the usually amiable dean get so angry.
"Mr. Flitwick, you must know that the Unspoken never force anyone to join. The Unspoken only contribute voluntarily."
The director's wand slid out of his sleeve and waved it.
A transparent blue list appeared in the air, with a lot of names recorded on it.
"Take a look at this list of sacrifices. Every Silent Person will use magic to leave a mark on it before setting off."
The list floated in front of Professor Flitwick, and Professor Flitwick could feel the determination coming from it without having to investigate it specifically.
"How long has this been going on?" Professor Flitwick's voice trembled a little.
"Since wizards founded civilization, sir. And this list only records wizards in Britain."
After listening to the director's words and looking at the endless list, Professor Flitwick fell silent.
"But I also want to apologize to you, sir. It is our incompetence that has caused your students to follow us into the battlefield. I am truly sorry."
The director bowed deeply to Professor Flitwick, and the atmosphere on the scene became solemn.
"Ok, let's stop with the heavy topic and start the fun preparation time." The director suddenly changed his tone.
"Is he like this often?" Professor Flitwick asked Oliver quietly.
"Yes, maybe he is too old. The old man in the department said that he and Dumbledore were from the same era."
Oliver also leaned close to Professor Flitwick's ear, looking gossipy.
"Hey, hey, those two over there, are you saying bad things about me?" The director finished his tantrum and returned to normal.
"Stop kidding, tell me how you plan to send so many people to Avalon?"
Aiden, who couldn't stand it any longer, stepped out to stop it and brought the topic back on track.
"Well, good question, of course through the superb brains of our wizards."
The director pointed to the big brain hall. All the brains placed in the green water tank were alive and could move.
The scene was very sad.
Aiden and Professor Flitwick both swallowed.
