Hogwarts's Master of Mind
Chapter 158: On the Tower
After the dinner, the young wizards returned to their academies one after another.
Aiden distributed the gifts he brought back from Egypt to his friends, and lied that they were magical props brought back from Egypt.
Outside the Gryffindor common room, the Fat Lady insisted on showing off her singing skills to everyone, causing a traffic jam.
"Hey, what are you doing blocking the way?" Ethan shouted from behind.
Ernie from the Gryffindor in the front row turned around and explained, "It's the Fat Lady. She must sing for everyone."
"Oh, these people are really unreliable." Ethan said frustratedly.
"Maybe we can avoid taking the stairs. After all, Ms. Rowena left us other paths when she designed it." Aiden suddenly said.
"Other paths?" Edmund asked puzzledly.
"Want to come together?" Aiden's long staff has emerged.
"Go" * 2
Then the magic power dragged the two of them high up.
"Ah~~~~" * 2
The little wizards who came later raised their heads and looked at the flying trio.
Some members of the Duel Association also reacted, took out their special rings, and flew up as well.
On the fifth floor, Aiden and his two roommates landed steadily in the corridor.
"Oh my god, at least give me some time to react." Edmund complained.
"It's obviously a work-around you guys don't understand. Didn't we teach you this magic last semester?" Aiden shrugged.
Without further ado with his two roommates, Aiden went to the front of the Eagle Head Circle to answer questions, while his two roommates were making a fuss behind him.
They opened the door and returned to the dormitory they had not seen for a long time, but the other two did not notice that there was one person missing in the room that originally accommodated four people.
Edmund and Ethan seemed very tired, so they washed up and went to bed.
But Aiden obviously had other plans. He took off his robe, put on a thin white shirt, and started his night tour.
Hogwarts at night was as dark as ever. The dragon of the mind was wandering in the corridors, and no professor could spot him.
Aiden walked through the spiral staircase and came to the top of the tower. The heavy rain outside the castle cast a shadow over the surrounding scenery.
From a distance, you can see a group of black ghosts floating outside Hogwarts.
Aiden came out of invisibility, and the dragon's might spread across the entire rooftop.
"Excuse me, lovely little wizard, do you want to tear down the top of the Hogwarts tower?" A soft voice calmed the irritable dragon.
"Professor Dumbledore." Aiden greeted the newcomer.
"It seems that my excellent student seems to be in some trouble. I wonder if the old man has the honor to be the listener."
Dumbledore tapped his wand, and the vines on the wall danced in front of the two of them, transforming into a table and two sofas.
He clapped his hands again and some refreshments, a cup of hot cocoa and a glass of lemonade appeared on the table.
Dumbledore sat down casually, picked up the snacks and started stuffing them into his mouth.
"Be careful about getting high blood sugar if you eat something so sweet so late at night." Aiden also sat down and took a sip of the lemon juice.
"I vaguely remember that when we first met, you were only six years old. You were so small that you were not even as tall as the sofa."
Dumbledore stretched out his hand and gestured on the sofa, as if the young Aiden was standing under his palm.
"But now you have grown up, and your attainments in magic are probably comparable to the old man's." Dumbledore winked at Aiden.
"No, still a long way from it," Aiden said modestly.
"Oh, then it's not a magic problem. You must have met a girl you like. At this age, love begins to blossom. I was..."
Dumbledore looked confident, like a kind elder ready to share his experience with the younger generation.
"No, and your 'lover' back then wasn't a girl, was she?" Aiden teased.
"Well, let me, an old man, go. Let me tell you, you have behaved in many ways since you arrived at school this afternoon." A gleam of wisdom appeared in Dumbledore's blue eyes.
"It's the Dementors, Professor." Aiden shook his head.
"You're afraid of that?" Dumbledore feigned shock.
"Can you please be serious?" Aiden held his forehead helplessly, "I can feel that it is the remnant of a dead soul."
"The remains of a dead soul are interesting. No wonder the director told me that you can be called the number one soul master in England. Can you really feel things that we don't know?"
Dumbledore stroked his beard and said thoughtfully.
"Are you still in touch with that guy? Uh, that sounds familiar."
Aiden was about to complain, but memories from the past began to assault Aiden and he decided to continue with the previous topic.
"Professor, you must have heard that there is no greater sorrow than a dead heart, but I just can't help it. These debris are all around me, crying to me all the time."
Aiden's last sentence was spoken by multiple voices, as if he was talking to Dumbledore from a very far distance.
"What were you crying about?" said Dumbledore.
"Crying about their tortured past." Aiden's voice returned to normal.
"Oh, that's too bad."
Dumbledore thought for a moment and made a suggestion.
"Child, we cannot feel this kind of sound, but I can only give you a suggestion, try to reject the interference from the outside world. Focusing on your own heart is the way forward for magic."
"But professor, what if we have reached the pinnacle of our internal control and started to explore the outside world?" Aiden said with a double meaning.
"Well, the old man can't give you advice. You should give the old man advice."
Dumbledore acted as Riddler, then he stood up to leave.
"It's already very late, little wizard, you should go to bed early, otherwise you won't grow taller."
Dumbledore gestured to his stomach, and Aiden's fist hardened.
After the old principal finished his job, he immediately slipped away.
Aiden was the only one left on the tower, looking at the scenery in the distance.
After staying for a while, Aiden restrained his perception, left the tower, and prepared to return to the dormitory.
When he passed the sixth floor, he saw a big black dog chasing an orange cat.
Aiden: “….”
When Crookshanks saw Aiden, he felt like he had seen a savior.
He quickened his pace and ran towards Aiden, breathing at the black dog.
When the big black dog saw the little wizard suddenly appear, he was stunned for a moment.
Aiden pretended to be ignorant and said, "Well, there are people in the school who have big black dogs."
He hid Crookshanks in his arms and said to the big black dog, "Go, go, this is my friend's pet, go back to your owner."
The big black dog looked at Aiden's height and stopped bothering with Crookshanks and quickly ran away.
Aiden walked Crookshanks back to the Gryffindor common room and watched her climb in through the skylight next to her.
Afterwards, Aiden quickly returned to Ravenclaw's dormitory. After all, a remarkable guy had entered the castle.
