Hogwarts's Master of Mind
Chapter 179 Animagus
After a period of hard work, Aiden finally completed the paper assigned by Professor McGonagall.
He knocked on Professor McGonagall's office with a thick stack of parchment.
"Professor, the paper is finished. Would you like to review it?" Aiden asked.
"Leave it there. I'll help you review your homework after I finish grading it." Professor McGonagall pointed to the table.
But the board was filled with little wizards' transfiguration homework, leaving Aiden at a loss as to where to start.
The evil dragon put his paper on the assignment.
Professor McGonagall picked up a copy and started reading. The more she read, the more she felt something was wrong. She looked up and saw Aiden trying to hold back his laughter.
"You really should come to Gryffindor, Mr. Prewett," Professor McGonagall sighed.
"Professor, I want to ask you for something." Aiden said seriously.
"Go ahead." Professor McGonagall put down the paper.
"I hope to start the Animagus training." Aiden said.
"No..." Professor McGonagall subconsciously wanted to refuse, but the words froze in her mouth.
Aiden took off his hat, revealing his dragon horns.
"You, this is?" Professor McGonagall said seriously, "Have you transformed yourself into a magical creature?"
Her tone was serious, and Aiden could even see a flash of anger.
"No, Professor, I wonder if you have heard of the dragon man of Prewitt..." Aiden
"Dragon man? I thought it was just an ancient legend, your..." Professor McGonagall paused.
"Your father and uncle once discussed this with me. They told me that Prewitt has an ancient mission to revive dragon blood."
Professor McGonagall pursed her lips and looked at Aiden worriedly.
"Yeah, as the culmination of all my years of being a Prewitt, I seem to be ready for a complete magical creature transformation," Aiden said confidently.
"How?" asked Professor McGonagall.
"According to the Animagus ritual, the one whose heartbeat is closest to mine must be a dragon. By placing the second set of magic pathways on the dragon's horns, the problem of conflicts between magic pathways between different creatures can be perfectly solved."
After listening to Aiden's story, Mag hesitated for a long time, but finally couldn't make a decision.
She raised her wand, and a silver-white tabby cat flew out, apparently going to find Dumbledore.
Not long after, Phoenix brought the principal to the office.
"Minerva, what is the matter?" Dumbledore asked.
"Albus, take a look at your favorite student yourself." McGonagall pointed at the dragon in the corner of the classroom.
Long gave an awkward but polite smile.
.......
"So, you are planning to start Animagus?" After chatting for a while, Dumbledore understood the whole story.
"Professor Dumbledore, I am very confident, and the experiment on Professor Lupin was also successful." Aiden nodded.
"Okay, as the headmaster, I allow you to try Animagus." Dumbledore nodded.
"Albus..." Professor McGonagall wanted to say something.
However, the two of them were old Gryffindors and understood everything.
Finally, Aiden successfully obtained permission and began preparations for Animagus.
After going to Professor Sprout to get some mandrake leaves, Aiden began to try it.
At the Ravenclaw table, Edmund saw Aiden's cheeks puffed up and couldn't help but reach out and poke him.
Aiden then sent him a death stare.
"What are you holding in your mouth? It seems like you have lost your appetite." Ethan also asked.
"A leaf of the mandrake."
Aiden answered cautiously, afraid of swallowing the leaves again.
"This stuff tastes really bad, so I can't eat well recently."
"Mandra, I see. You want to learn Animagus. I thought you couldn't eat because of a broken heart." Edmund teased.
"Why do you think so?" Aiden wondered.
Edmund pouted at the back of Aiden and said, "Look at those little witches who are eager to eat you alive. The top gossip in the academy today is: Who broke the heart of the Ravenclaw Rose?"
Edmund offended a certain operator as soon as he opened his mouth. Aiden gave him a glare with a bit of dragon power.
Edmund's mind went blank for a moment, then he came back to life with a shudder.
.....
After working hard for a month, Aiden finally took out the leaves. On a moonlit night, he put the leaves and saliva into a crystal bottle.
Add a strand of hair and a teaspoon of dew, along with the pupa of the hawk moth.
Professor McGonagall personally took Aiden to the Forbidden Forest to bury the potion.
From the day the potion was buried, Aiden would chant a spell to his heart every day between sunrise and sunset.
On the fifth day, a strong heartbeat began to sound.
During the subsequent chanting of the mantra, the heartbeat was sometimes strong and sometimes illusory.
This made Aiden think he had failed.
On Thursday, Aiden encountered the trio at the castle.
"Hey, Aiden, I haven't seen you lately, what have you been busy with?" Ron asked.
"Learning magic, or preparing a surprise for Aunt Molly." Aiden blinked.
"By the way, Aiden, this is the rock cake Hagrid asked me to bring you. He said it's to thank you for your help."
Harry took out a bag and shook it, and there seemed to be a sound of something hard hitting inside.
"I like it very much. I will thank him next time I see him." Aiden took the bag.
The three of them were amazed at Aiden's beauty when they looked at the bag full of rock biscuits.
Suddenly, a flash of lightning split the sky and Aiden immediately started running.
"Ha, he's so timid, he's afraid of lightning." Ron teased.
"No, I get it. He's learning Animagus. Remember he always had something in his mouth a while ago?"
The most knowledgeable Hermione immediately deduced what he was going to do based on Aiden's reaction.
"Then Aiden can turn into an animal?" Harry also became interested in this magic.
"Maybe we'll know what he has become in the Ministry of Magic's list in a few days." Ron shrugged. "Aiden is amazing. I've never seen a magic that he couldn't learn since he was a child."
When Aiden arrived at the place where the potion was buried, Professor McGonagall also rushed to the scene with Dumbledore in her arms.
"Mr. Prewett, because Animagus itself is a ritual, we cannot continue to embed other rituals in the outside world.
After that, the compression of the magic channel for transformation can only be completed by the matrix you set up yourself, which is probably a very painful process. "
Professor McGonagall reminded Aiden one last time, "It's not too late to stop now."
Aiden shook his head, dug out the potion, and began carving runes on himself.
Seeing him like this, Professor McGonagall stopped trying to dissuade him.
The blood-red potion was placed in a crystal glass bottle with dirt on the surface. Aiden took out his wand and chanted to his heart, "Amado, Animaud, Animagus."
After reciting the spell, Aiden poured the potion into his mouth.
What followed was intense pain and two intense heartbeats, and Aiden finally saw the beautiful silver dragon in his mind.
The silver dragon did not bring any shock to Aiden's consciousness, but instead approached Aiden cautiously.
Aiden looked at it calmly and naturally accepted the fusion of the silver dragon.
Aiden began to transform, his robes melting into his body and he grew scales and claws.
With a tearing sound, a pair of broad wings grew out from Aiden's back.
A silver dragon with pure white scales appeared in front of the two Gryffindors, and its scales emitted colorful light under the moonlight.
There were still runes on the scales that Aiden had just carved, and it looked like Professor McGonagall didn't need to help redraw them.
"Aiden?" Professor McGonagall called cautiously, wanting to confirm Aiden's sanity.
The silver dragon turned around and nodded to Professor McGonagall, and she finally put her mind at ease.
The final step is to compress the magical pathways of the magical animals onto the designated organs.
Aiden, who has gained enough experience with Professor Lupin, activates the matrix engraved on his body.
The runes began to emit a faint magical glow, compressing Aiden's magical pathway inch by inch.
This process is extremely painful, as if one's body is being cut into pieces bit by bit and then put back together.
It is important that Aiden also stays awake during this process.
The whole process lasted about an hour. The magic channel was completely compressed into the dragon horn, and Aiden transformed back into a human body.
He didn't care that he was covered in mud and just lay on the ground, gasping for breath.
"Merlin, I have actually witnessed a breakthrough in Transfiguration in my lifetime." Professor McGonagall was very excited.
"Professor, would you like to try it?" Aiden looked at Dumbledore.
Dumbledore and Professor McGonagall shook their heads in unison.
