Hogwarts's Master of Mind
Chapter 193: The Possibility of Being Deprived, Sniff
In the snowy plains, the protective spell that Newt had cast on the Obscurus had leaked a little, with a small amount of black particles floating outside.
Aiden frowned when he saw it, and clenched his hands, and a long white staff appeared in his hands.
He began to carve alchemical runes on the ground and around him.
"What is this?" Jacob saw the torn curtain behind him and walked in.
"Silent Beast." Newt walked over and said, seeing that Jacob wanted to continue asking questions, "Shh, alchemy requires a high degree of concentration, don't disturb him."
Aiden carved the Light Kenaz (?), Protect Algiz (?), and Continuity Othala (?) on the ground.
This way, the Silent Beast can be controlled from both the inside and outside as much as possible while minimizing the loss of magic power.
"Are you ready?" Newt asked.
"Well, unless it is dismantled by force, it will not be able to escape." Aiden said.
"Let's go then." Newt led the two of them out.
"Where to?" Jacob asked.
"Go get my animals back before they get hurt," Newt said.
"Were they hurt?" Jacob's tone rose.
"You have to know that even we wizards are forced into hiding in corners by ordinary people, not to mention those magical animals whose intelligence levels are not high to begin with."
Aiden patted Jacob on the back, motioning for him to follow, and Newt nodded in front.
“You know where in New York there’s an open plain full of puddles and rich herbaceous vegetation?” Newt asked.
"Um, Central Park?" Jacob tilted his head.
"Ok, can you take me somewhere?" Newt asked Jacob sincerely.
"Oh, you know, this sounds like a double-dealer, but look at those girls, they took us in, provided us with food,..." Jacob rubbed his hands embarrassedly, looking like he was in love for the first time.
“You know they’re going to put a nullifying spell on you once they notice you’re not sweating?” Newt looked up at him.
"What is the kitchen..." Jacob's raised mouth corners also drooped.
"It will cleanse your memory, but it may have some impact on your memory, so if you are about to be cast,
I recommend that I do it. I can use my telekinesis to hide your memory without damaging your brain." Aiden shook his head shyly.
"Ah uh..." Jacob was startled and took a few steps back away from Aiden.
"Okay, don't scare him, you're not a member of the Magical Congress of the United States." Newt patted Aiden on the head.
"Okay, I'll help you." Jacob swallowed.
.......
In winter, cold air envelops the streets of New York.
"Aren't you really cold wearing so little?" Jacob looked at Aiden, who was only wearing an ill-fitting shirt.
"It doesn't matter. I can adapt to all kinds of extreme weather, and you see."
Aiden dusted off his clothes and a thick, warm wool sweater appeared.
"Life is so convenient for you wizards." Jacob pursed his lips.
"I've been watching you at dinner. People seem to like you, don't they, Mr. Kowalski?" Newt came up to talk.
"Oh, then I'm sure people like you too." Jacob waved his hand sheepishly.
“Not really, I’m usually annoying.” Newt shook his head.
"I do have some different opinions about Mr. Kowalski," Aiden interrupted.
"Hmm, I'd like to hear more about it." Jacob nodded.
"Your psychic power is very pure. I guess you had the potential to become a wizard, but you may have been contaminated in some way." Aiden narrowed his eyes.
"Pollution, what does that mean?" Jacob was a little confused.
"Look, did you ever get involved in any weird religion when you were a kid?" Aiden's voice sounded a little unreal.
"How do you know? I'm Pole. At that time, primitive Slavic religion was popular among us. Isn't that normal? And now I don't believe in that stuff at all." Jacob said.
"When I was in contact with you before, I found that there was a small gap on your spiritual island, as if it had been eaten."
Aiden said the creepy things in a flat tone.
“Wait, you’re really not trying to scare him?” Newt’s expression also turned serious.
"Look, Newt, even wizards who have entered the 20th century can still produce Obscurus. So for a wizard born in an ordinary family, it is a blessing to be able to grow up alive." Aiden shrugged.
"I'm sorry, Mr. Kowalski, but you're already this old, and there's probably nothing else we can do for you." Newt patted Jacob on the shoulder with a heavy face.
"This kid means that I might have been a wizard. Ha, that's cool." Jacob was very happy.
"Aren't you sad that your ability to cast spells has been robbed by others?" Newt asked curiously.
"How could that be? I never feel that I have lacked anything in my life. On the contrary, every time I get something, I feel it is a gift." Jacob smiled very freely.
"Hufflepuff." * 2. Newt and Aiden smiled at each other.
"Okay, Mr. Kowalski, how far are we from Central Park in New York?" Aiden asked.
"Oh, let's go this way." Jacob quickly led the two of them to turn.
Passing a commercial street, Newt suddenly stopped. A Niffler was acting as a model in a glass window.
"Glass shattered!" Newt used his wand to smash the window and rushed in to search.
Jacob, who was walking in front, quickly ran back, "Oh, what should we do?" He looked at Aiden.
“Wait until Newt catches the Niffler.” Aiden shrugged.
"Mr. Kowalski, why do you want to be a baker?" Aiden asked.
Behind him, Newt dove into the pile of jewelry, and the Niffler jumped up and ran away again.
Jacob answered, his eyes fixed on Newt and his mouth towards Aiden, "Well, because I felt like I was dying. It was like being in a cannery and having the life squeezed out of you."
"Oh, it seems you must hate canned food." Aiden laughed.
"Well, are we really not going to help him?" Jacob's whole body's attention had been diverted.
“No, the more people there are, the more difficult it will be to capture the Nifflers. They have strong shape-shifting abilities and can get through all kinds of tiny holes,” Aiden explained.
"Oh, then let's talk about the bakery. I tell you, I just hate those machines. I guess I want to open my own bakery. I think it can bring happiness to people."
Jacob raised his hands, already imagining what it would be like when he opened his shop.
Finally, with Newt's efforts, the second window was shattered and the store alarm was triggered.
Sniff struggled to escape again, but a pair of powerful dragon claws blocked its way.
"Well done, Aiden." Newt was covered in jewels.
He took the Niffler from Aiden's hand and hung him upside down, tickling the Niffler's belly, and the gems inside began to fall out.
Soon, NAPD arrived at the scene, and the police pointed muskets at the three people.
"Your firearms still need some time to develop." Aiden turned his head and spoke to Jacob.
"Huh?" Jacob was confused.
"Snap" a crisp sound of finger snaps echoed, and the surrounding policemen fell into a sweet dream.
"You, they...you wouldn't kill them like this, would you?" Jacob asked stutteringly.
"What are you thinking about? I'm just giving these overtime police officers a break." Aiden rolled his eyes.
