The most powerful wizard in the magic world

Chapter 298 Choosing to Escape

Outside the window, several shadows approached quietly. They were former apprentices, with resentment and jealousy in their eyes. Patrick, Selma, and Ulises - since being thrown out of the laboratory by Garlin, the bitterness and anger in their hearts have never been released.

"That's him, the arrogant Garling," Patrick whispered, his eyes fixed on the studio window.

"He thinks he can cover the sky with one hand and that we can never make any waves again?" Selma smiled coldly, holding a bent metal pipe in her hand, looking quite sinister.

"And all we need is a small metal pipe to make him pay a heavy price." There was a sinister light flashing in Julis' eyes, and he was secretly proud of himself.

"We'll do it tonight," Patrick said, his tone firm. "I've already thought about it. When he falls asleep, we'll let this self-righteous guy have a taste of our power."

"Don't worry," Selma interrupted. "He has some magical protection, and we need perfect timing."

"You're right." Patrick nodded, frowning slightly. Although he was full of hatred for Gerling, he also understood that a rough action would never pose a substantial threat to him.

The three of them got closer and closer until night fell. In the studio, Gelling was still immersed in the world of experiments, unaware of the undercurrent outside.

"Do you think he will go out tonight?" Julis asked suddenly.

"If nothing unexpected happens, he will definitely be so busy with his work that he won't have time to go out." Selma shrugged, with a dangerous smile on her lips. "But we have to make sure he can't concentrate."

"Then lure him out," Patrick suggested, a strange gleam in his eyes. "Make some noise, make sure he comes to see."

"Good idea." Ulis nodded in agreement and waved his hand, pointing to the bushes. "I'll go over there and disguise myself as a tree shadow. If he comes out, I'll explain some strange phenomena to him."

"But we must be careful to convince him that it is a danger," said Selma. Her eyes showed a cunning wisdom. "If the weapons in our hands are useless, that megalomaniac will make us pay a greater price."

"No problem, we just need to get him out quickly, and leave the rest to me--" As Julis said this, he quietly slipped into the bushes, lurking in the shadows, waiting for the opportunity to come.

The night sky grew darker, the candlelight flickered in the studio, and Gelling's experiment continued until a faint shout was heard from outside.

"Gerlin! Come and see, there seems to be something strange outside!" Patrick tried his best to suppress his voice, but the voice came out involuntarily.

Through the window, Gerling frowned and stood up and walked towards the door. As he approached the window, Patrick became more and more excited and peeked into the window pretending to be calm.

"What are you talking about?" Gerling asked, looking unhappy.

"Do you think I'm kidding? There seems to be someone peeking out from the bushes outside!" Patrick was secretly happy in his heart, and took the opportunity to continue, "I saw a figure, it's definitely not a normal animal!"

"I'll go take a look," Gerling suddenly said. Although he instinctively felt a little uneasy, scientific curiosity drove him to open the door.

"Great, just what I wanted!" Selma whispered to herself, trying to suppress her inner pride. She had made all preparations, just waiting for the encounter between Ulis and Gerling.

Just as Garlin walked out of the studio, Patrick put his hand on his shoulder and tried to get him to pay attention to the surroundings: "Did you hear that? Something seems to be moving!"

"Don't be so nervous." Gerling said impatiently, with a hint of disdain in his eyes. "I'm afraid it's just the wind."

But at that moment, Ulis suddenly jumped out, blocking Gelling's view, and pointed the metal pipe at him.

"Go away!" Gerlin shouted, and he immediately felt an inexplicable pressure. But just when he wanted to cast a protective spell, Yulis had already pounced on him.

"Do you think you are so powerful? We are here to take revenge today!" Julis smiled coldly, with a crazy light flashing in his eyes.

"Enough!" Gerlin roared, and a flash of lightning appeared in his hand, just in time to shake Ulyss away.

When Patrick and Selma saw Gerling's magic, they both stepped back and looked at their former mentor in horror.

"What do you want to do?" Gerling glared at them and smiled coldly, his demeanor becoming unusually confident. "Do you think this little trick can shake me?"

Selma sneered and raised the metal pipe in her hand, adding a bit of threat: "We don't just want to scare you, Gerling!"

"If you want to do something, just do it." Gerling smiled, not afraid at all. He sensed their fear, and became more determined.

"But we are not here to negotiate." Ulysse gritted his teeth and tried to cheer himself up.

"Do you really think you can challenge me?" Gellin looked at their sinister faces and smiled in his heart. "Your strength is simply not comparable to mine."

At this moment, the air around them suddenly became heavy, and Gerlin's aura swept over like a huge wave, almost suffocating all of them.

"Now, do you want to leave or stay here?" he asked with interest, but there was an indescribable sharpness in his eyes.

"We...we won't back down!" Patrick mustered up his courage, even though he was trembling inside.

"Well, since you don't want to leave, let me teach you." Gerlin spread his hands, with blue and white light flashing in his hands, and a thunder was about to come.

"Run!" Selma yelled, trying to hold Patrick and Yuris, but it was too late. His strength poured down like a violent storm, and in an instant, the whole yard seemed to be shaking.

Gerlin's rage transformed hatred and despair into an invisible force. The sense of oppression engulfed their hearts like a tsunami, and in this fear, the former apprentices finally chose to flee.
