The most powerful wizard in the magic world

Chapter 31: I am at a disadvantage

"I will make sure that none of this will go as you wish." Gerling opened his eyes, his gaze was sharp. The blue light appeared in his palm again, and the cracks in the crystal ball slowly closed, shrouding Romans's darkness and despair.

The fiery red stone in front of Gerlin emitted a faint light, reflecting Rommath's pale and distorted face. The evil spirit was trapped in a transparent crystal ball, and the black mist on its body seemed to be continuously sucked away, making it weaker and weaker.

"Do you think you can use these little tricks against me?" Romance's voice echoed in the space, full of unyielding and arrogant. But his tone became more and more trembling, and he obviously realized that he was at a disadvantage.

"I don't need any tricks, Romans." Gerlin smiled coldly, holding the fiery red stone in his hand, and slowly approached the crystal ball. The stone exuded a burning breath, and it went straight to Romans. "Today, I will use this stone to wear away the last of your essence."

"How dare you!" Romance roared, and black mist rushed around in the crystal ball, as if struggling. "You have no idea how powerful I am!"

"Powerful?" Gerling curled his lips in disdain. The temperature of the stone gradually increased, almost igniting the air. He slowly brought the stone closer to the crystal ball and felt Romans' fear approaching. "I will make you feel pain until you lose the will to resist."

Romance's body twisted in the crystal ball, looking extremely miserable. "You are courting death! I will tear your soul apart!"

"Based on your current state?" A sneer appeared on Gerlin's lips. The stone was close to the surface of the crystal ball, making a harsh buzzing sound. Romans' body trembled violently, as if he was under great pressure.

“No!” Romanth’s voice became sharp with desperation. “I’ll tell you everything. Don’t use that!”

"Too late." Gellin remained unmoved. The stone came into contact with the crystal ball, and a fiery light burst out. In an instant, Romans' body was surrounded by burning energy, and a scream of pain broke the silence.

"This is your choice," Gerlin said coldly, his eyes fixed on Romans. The energy emitted by the fiery red stone gradually penetrated into the crystal ball, and Romans' soul seemed to be ruthlessly torn apart.

“I…I will tell you!” Romance’s voice was filled with pain and helplessness. The black mist gradually became thinner. “As long as you let me go!”

"Let you live? Do you think I'm stupid?" Gerlin's voice was low and firm, and he continued to exert pressure. "Tell me, what is the Shadow Legion's plan?"

"The Shadow Legion... they are preparing to make a sacrifice!" Rommath's voice was intermittent amidst the intense pain, and he had obviously lost the will to resist. "Sacrifice the blood of hundreds of people to awaken the dormant dark power!"

"A list of sacrifices?" Gerling seized the opportunity and forced Romans to continue.

“I don’t know the exact list… but… they will choose ordinary people who have no power.” Romance struggled, as if trying desperately to maintain his last bit of sanity. “You can’t stop them!”

"That's enough, Romans." Gerlin raised his voice, and the black aura eroded his surroundings. The energy of the red stone was further consuming Romans' essence, slowly and mercilessly.

“What are you doing!” Romanth’s fear reached its peak, and his voice became sharp and desperate. “I’ll give you more... just don’t use that again!”

"He... He is the abandoned prince, named Thor!" Romans gasped for breath, with endless fear in the black fog. "He hides in the dark palace, controlling countless powers!"

"Dark Palace, where is that?" Gerlin demanded, silently adjusting the fiery red stone in his hand, preparing to deliver the final blow.

"In the dark forest in the north, surrounded by countless vines." Romance's voice gradually became lower and lower, sounding more and more desperate. "The altar is there, and on the night of the full moon, the power will be released!"

"The night of the full moon?" Gerlin thought to himself, calculating the time in his mind. "Who will be chosen as the sacrifice at that time?"

"I... I don't know!" Romance shook his head anxiously, his body trembling in the crystal ball, "I've already told you a lot!"

"This is not enough." Gerlin's voice suddenly turned cold. The fiery red stone glowed even more intensely, and the scorching breath approached Romans. Its soul was twisting in agony, and it was obviously close to its limit.

"I will tell you! I will tell you!" Romanth's voice echoed in the basement, a mixture of pain and despair. "They will choose those who show up in the forest the night before the ceremony!"

"Keep going!" Gerlin's eyes were like those of a hawk, piercing straight into Romans' soul. "Anything else you want to tell me?" "I can't stand this torture any longer!" Romans' voice was filled with despair and pain, and it completely lost its last dignity. "If you continue, I will lose my mind!"

"Responsibility? You've lost it a long time ago." Gerling did not intend to let it go and continued to exert pressure. "Tell me everything you know!"

The fiery red stones flickered in the crystal ball, and finally a deafening roar was heard. Romans was torn apart again, almost collapsing. Its voice gradually became low, like a trapped little animal.

"I... I'll tell you their goal!" Romance finally gave up resistance like a warrior who had lost his fighting spirit. "They plan to sacrifice those innocent people on the night of the full moon, break the seal, and awaken the Dark Lord!"

"The name of the Dark Lord, where does it come from?" Gerlin asked, with unyielding hope in his eyes.

"He comes from an ancient legend, the former ruler... Thor!" Rommath screamed in despair, his voice revealing an undisguised fear, "You can't stop him, nothing can stop him!"

"I won't let you down." Gerlin's voice was low and firm, and he swore to himself in his heart. "Everything you say will become our strength to stop the darkness."
