“I think so,” Gelling responded, his voice a little hesitant. “But I’m still a little nervous. We’re meeting apprentices from other houses, after all, they come from different backgrounds.”

Tao Lena patted his shoulder and smiled brightly: "It's okay, Gerlin. They are just apprentices, and they are eager to interact with us just like us. Remember to relax and be yourself."

Just then, a voice interrupted: "Gerlin, Tao Lena, what are you talking about?" It was their classmate Elhad, who was tall and always had a smile on his face.

“Yes, like who their mentor is, what the course is like, or their interests and hobbies,” Elhad added. “What’s more, apprentices love to share their stories.”

Just then, the bell in the yard rang, reminding them that the event was about to begin. Gerling took a deep breath and tried to relax himself.

As they walked into the event hall, Gerling's eyes were instantly attracted by the colorful decorations. In the center of the hall was a huge round table filled with a variety of food and drinks. His stomach growled involuntarily, and he thought to himself that he had to fill his stomach first.

"Come and look! Over there is our favorite strawberry mousse!" Tao Lena pointed excitedly at the dessert on the table, took Gerlin's hand and walked forward.

"Wait a moment, let me get it for you!" Elhad followed closely behind, showing a gentlemanly demeanor and taking the initiative to get the food for them.

Not far away, Gerlin saw several apprentices wearing robes from different schools having a heated discussion. He gathered his courage and prepared to go forward and greet them. He took a deep breath and then walked towards the group of apprentices.

"Hello, I'm Gerlin, from the learning-oriented Star Academy." He introduced himself with a smile, his voice trembling slightly.

"Hello, Gerlin, I'm Ryan, from Fengyin College." A boy responded with a friendly smile on his face. Gerlin noticed that Ryan was tall and slender, with a hint of intelligence between his eyebrows.

"Fengyin Academy? I heard there are very good climatology courses there." Gerlin asked tentatively.

"Yes, our mentor is very insightful. His research area is climate change and agriculture." Ryan said excitedly, and several apprentices around him also agreed.

"My name is Carly, and I'm from Starlight Academy." The female apprentice smiled and joined the conversation. "There are many astronomical research projects in our academy. I'm currently studying the possibility of interstellar travel."

"Wow, interstellar travel!" Tao Lena's eyes lit up. "That sounds so exciting!"
