Chapter 113 Purebloods are different from purebloods

The conversation between Draco and Wuyou was like two parallel lines, but they were unaware of each other and even had a great time talking to each other.

They went to the garden together to get some fresh air. As soon as they stepped into the back garden, Wuyou saw Deli hurriedly leaving from the other side with a dazed look on his face.

She had originally planned to say hello to Derry, ask him what happened, and find out where Pansy was. Unfortunately, Derry's pace was unusually fast, and he disappeared from her sight in the blink of an eye, leaving Wuyou with a confused look on her face.

Wuyou looked at the direction he disappeared in confusion and said, "Where is he going? Why can't I see Pansy? Weren't they chatting happily just now?"

When Draco heard Pansy's name, he immediately became alert and said quickly, "Don't think about it, it's absolutely fine! I just saw Pansy and Blaise chatting happily in the side hall! Who knows what he is going to do? Maybe it will be another inexplicable romantic surprise. Besides, no matter what the reason is, you are my female companion today, you must not look for other boys! You promised that you would not leave me for a minute, huh?"

Draco said a lot of things in one breath, and he was a little emotional. Wuyou thought about it for a moment, but he really couldn't guess the reason, so he didn't think much about it.

But in fact, just now, in the pavilion in the garden where they usually liked to gather, Derian met the owner of the Parkinson family.

Over the past few weeks, Adrian had been learning a specific spell, one that he had learned just for Pansy.

This spell requires finding a newly blooming rose and casting a spell on it during a full moon. More importantly, the rose must have exactly 51 petals for it to be effective.

If he succeeds, some sparkling white flashes will appear on the petals of the rose, and then he will have a red rose that will never wither.

He spent more than an hour in the garden braving the cold and carefully selecting before he found nine red roses. Just when he was about to give the roses to Pansy with joy, he was stopped by Mr. Parkinson.

Derian turned his head in confusion and saw Mr. Parkinson standing out from the darkness. He said calmly, "Mr. Pusey, can I talk to you?"

Adrian hid the rose behind his back, nodded and said, "Of course, sir."

He followed Mr. Parkinson into the pavilion. Mr. Parkinson looked at Adrian, whose eyelashes were covered with snowflakes, and sat down without saying anything. Adrian stood stiffly in front of him.

Mr. Parkinson looked at him for a long time and slowly said, "Are you dating my daughter?"

Pansidian's eyes lit up with joy when he was mentioned. He looked at Mr. Parkinson firmly and said, "Yes, sir. I love her very much, and I am glad that she likes me very much too."

Mr. Parkinson's gaze fell on the brightly lit manor in the distance. Through the glass windows, he could vaguely see figures walking inside.

Without even glancing at Adrian, he looked out the window and said, "It doesn't matter. The daughter of the Parkinson family should be in the brightly lit manor, not outside the manor where it's snowing. Mr. Pusey, I hope you understand that you will get nowhere."

Adrian's pupils shrank, and his heart seemed to be pierced by a dagger, leaving a deep crack. With pleading and sadness in his eyes, he said, "Mr. Parkinson, I will definitely work in the Ministry of Magic after graduation. I can be an Auror. I won't let Pansy suffer any injustice! Really, I promise!"

Mr. Parkinson turned his head and looked at Adrian and said, "Of course you can become an Auror. That does sound good, but Pansy's last name is Parkinson. She was destined to marry another pure-blood saint from birth. Pure-blood saints are different from the emerging families. The gap between them cannot be made up through the efforts of one generation. The status of the pure-blood saints is the result of many, many generations of inheritance and development, and Pansy is just a pure-blood family."

Derian sat there quietly, listening to Mr. Parkinson's words, feeling as if there was a fishbone stuck in his throat.

He could not refute it, because the last name Parkinson represented strength and nobility, which was indeed something he could never achieve in his entire life. No matter how hard he struggled, it was difficult to change this fact.

Mr. Parkinson seemed to have lost his patience with Adrian. He stood up and gracefully brushed off the non-existent dust on his body.

Then he looked down at Adrian and said in a calm but dignified tone, "Mr. Pusey, I am not the kind of unreasonable or unkind person. Therefore, I am willing to give you two months to let you and my daughter end this relationship decently. If you do not listen to my advice and insist on waiting for me to intervene personally, the situation may become very ugly by then, and it may even have some adverse effects on you. After all, no one wants to leave an unpleasant memory during their school days, right?"

Adrian was not intimidated by Mr. Parkinson's threat. He clenched his teeth and his eyes were firm and determined.

He knew in his heart that he loved Pansy deeply, and Pansy loved him as well. They had once made a promise that he would never let Pansy down, and no matter what difficulties and challenges he encountered, he would stick to this love.

Even if Parkinson's family owner wanted to hire a killer to kill him, he was not afraid. As long as he could be with Pansy, nothing else mattered.

The determination in Derian's eyes did not waver at all. He stared at Mr. Parkinson with his bright eyes and said sincerely and firmly: "I once made a promise to her that I would love her until the last moment of my life! I will never break this oath. Even if you want to kill me, I will never back down! I will think about her future and will never let her suffer any grievances. If you are willing to give me a chance, I will be very grateful... But if you are not willing, no matter what, I will stick to my promise!"

Mr. Parkinson sneered with disdain, "Is this a joke? How can Pansy be worthy of the Parkinson family? What does your oath mean? Pansy is the only daughter of the Parkinson family. She has the entire Parkinson family behind her! Parkinson Manor is her real home. Maybe in the future her home will become some other manor, but it will never be that small... uh, small western-style building in London, right? Hahaha."

Pusey knew that his family was indeed not as good as the pure-blood saints, but it was still pretty good among the pure-blood families, otherwise he would not have appeared at the banquet at Malfoy Manor.

But Parkinson was right, there was a gap between them.

Just like his small Western-style house in London, even with the garden, its floor space is only as big as the main building of Malfoy Manor.

What's more, Malfoy Manor has front and back gardens, lakes and woods. Just for this reason, Pusey could not refute Parkinson.

If Pansy married him, he wouldn't be able to afford a comparable manor to Malfoy Manor, let alone any other pure-blood saint's manor.

However, he was unwilling to give up Pansy because of this. He couldn't bear to let go of this relationship.

Mr. Parkinson sneered and said, "I won't agree. Pansy can't marry you, otherwise I will expel her from the family tree. However, I think my daughter will be a smarter Slytherin than you. She is just young now, and she will make the right choice soon."

As Mr. Parkinson spoke, he stood up and walked around Derian, looking at him casually with disdain and said, "Haha... my daughter really likes red roses, but you can only give her a bouquet of roses, while the boy from the pure-blooded holy family can give her a garden of red roses. I hope you can think it over carefully and not make things irreversible." After that, he turned and left, walking briskly towards the manor.

Adrian stood there, looking at the bouquet of beautiful red roses in his hand, feeling confused.

He didn't know what he should do, whether to give up this relationship. He knew that Mr. Parkinson was not wrong, but he couldn't give up his love for Pansy, and couldn't accept the pain of losing her.

Adrian stared down at the ring on his hand that Pansy had given him, and recalled every moment they had spent together.

He was reluctant to take off the ring, nor was he willing to push Pansy away from him. He knew that once he let go, he might lose her forever.

At this moment, a crystal teardrop quietly slid down and fell on the rose petals. Seeing the tear quickly condense into a crystal ice particle, Derian suddenly came back to his senses.

He took a deep breath, carefully wrapped the rose in his clothes and hid it in his arms, then left the garden silently with a heart full of entanglement and confusion.
