Chapter 13: The Invincible Mavis Falls

It was already dark when we arrived at Hogwarts.

As the little wizards got off the train one by one, Hagrid called out to them, "Hey! First years, follow me!"

Afterwards, several people took a small boat to the castle. The boat was shaky and it seemed that a stabilizing device was needed, such as the "chicken head stability law".

The dark lake water all around makes people feel that there may be some scary creatures underwater.

Many young wizards were looking at the lake nervously, but Mavis was different. She closed her eyes and her face was pale.

Seeing her like this, Draco moved closer to her: "Mavis, if you are scared, you can stay closer to me."

Wuyou nodded and squatted down next to his legs. Draco was stunned for a moment and asked, "Are you so afraid of the Black Lake?"

Wuyou said weakly: "I'm seasick..."

Draco looked at her lowered head in horror and said, "Mavis! You're not going to vomit, are you? You can't vomit on me!"

Wuyou raised his head without saying a word: "Not really, Draco, please, leave me alone for a while."

Fearing that she would vomit on him, Draco was quiet all the way until he turned a corner and saw a huge castle. He then patted Wuyou gently and said, "Mavis, we're here. Are you okay?"

Mavis nodded and sat up. After a while, the boat reached the shore. As soon as Mavis got off the boat, she jumped up and down as if the person who was dying just now was not her.

Everyone followed Hagrid into the castle.

After walking up many steps, I saw a tall, thin middle-aged woman in a green robe standing at the entrance of the auditorium. She had a serious expression on her face.

After handing over to Hagrid, Professor McGonagall glanced at the little wizards and began to introduce the four schools to them. Before she finished, Neville shouted, "Riff!"

Then Professor McGonagall looked at Neville speechlessly as he picked up his toad. She didn't want to say anything more. She led everyone to the gate and pushed it open.

Along the way, apart from the little wizards whispering curiously, only Hermione was chattering away reciting a section of Hogwarts' history.

The hundreds of candles floating in the air above the ceiling of the Worry-Free Hall were so beautiful that one couldn't help but exclaim.

There was a high stool on the platform in the hall with a tattered hat on it. Behind the stool was a long dining table, and in the middle sat an old bee - Headmaster Dumbledore.

The other Hogwarts teachers sat on both sides of him, and after the little wizards stood in the audience, the Sorting Hat began to sing.

"You may think I'm not pretty, but don't judge a person by his appearance. If you can find a hat smarter than mine, I can eat myself..."

The lyrics are very niche, Wuyou laughed several times in his heart, and soon the Sorting Hat sang about the four colleges: "You may belong to Gryffindor, where is the courage buried in your heart..."

It extols the virtues of several colleges, but clearly favors Gryffindor and even rubs Slytherin in. Wuyou clearly sees a hint of disdain across Draco's face.

But she felt it was absolutely correct. It was the Sorting Hat that discriminated against the schools. She felt that the old hat should be detained in Azkaban for a few days to learn the red ideas of equality and solidarity.

Next was the sorting ceremony. Professor McGonagall stood next to the chair with a list, called out the name of each little wizard, and then asked them to put on their hats.

Ron was complaining to Harry in a low voice not far in front of Wuyou, but in fact his voice was very loud: "Oh, damn Fred and George, they lied to me that the sorting required a fight!"

After the hat finished singing the song, Professor McGonagall picked up the hat and prepared to read out the name of the first lucky person from the list in her hand.
