Chapter 20: One Flying and One Silent

After two days of peace and chaos, the much-anticipated flying class finally arrived.

Ever since we met in the lounge this morning, Draco had been extremely excited, talking all the time about how much fun it was to ride a broom and how great he was at it.

Pansy said that riding a broom was not ladylike at all so she didn't participate in the topic. Blaise and Theodore were obviously not as enthusiastic about flying lessons as he was. Between Gower Crabbe and Wuyou Mochangqing, Draco chose the latter without hesitation.

Although Wuyou was not that interested, she was willing to listen to Draco. No matter how childish his words were, Wuyou always gave him blatant preference.

Mo Changqing thought it was very strange to ride on a broom, so he was somewhat interested in what Draco said.

When they passed by the Gryffindor table, they happened to see Neville take out a small transparent ball. The ball slowly turned red in his hand. Wuyou knew at a glance that it was a Memory Ball.

The red smoke that appeared in the memory ball indicated that Neville had forgotten something. He was racking his brains to figure out what he had forgotten.

Draco snatched the thing from his hand, and the memory ball instantly regained clarity in his hand. He smiled and said to Wuyou: "Ha, this is a memory ball, but I don't think it will be of any use to him."

Goyle and Crabbe behind him tried to agree with Draco, but their sudden burst of laughter startled Draco instead.

Draco glared at them speechlessly, and Wuyou nodded: "The memory ball won't tell you what you have forgotten, so I don't think it's useful to anyone. Let's go, Pansy and the others are waiting for us."

Draco was about to return the Memory Ball to Neville when Ron and Harry rushed over because they had just seen Draco holding Neville's Memory Ball and saying something. Goyle and Crabbe stood behind Draco like a mountain and laughed at Neville, while Neville sat in front of him timidly.

Ron immediately felt that Draco must be bullying him, so he came over and said to Draco, "Malfoy, you are so shameless, don't bully Neville, give his things back to him!"

Draco looked at the two of them with anger on their faces, "What does it have to do with you? Mind your own business, poor bastard!"

Harry frowned and looked at Draco and said, "Draco, you shouldn't talk about Ron like that."

Draco looked surprised: "Huh? What do you mean? He was the one who said that to me first!"

Draco wanted to continue speaking, but Professor McGonagall came over and reminded them not to quarrel. Draco snorted, picked up Wuyou, turned around and walked towards the Slytherin table.

Because of this, Draco and Ron complained to their friends about each other's problems during dinner.

Harry thought that what Draco did was wrong, while Draco thought that Harry was standing on Ron's side, indiscriminately, and was clearly making an enemy of him.

When it came to the flying class in the afternoon, the little wizards were all very excited. Madam Hooch was the professor of this class, and she was explaining the precautions at the moment.

After seeing the school's teaching equipment, Draco complained: "Mavis, look at these brooms, they are all Comet 140?! They are almost as old as the school, this is too bad!"

But Wuyou was thinking about their quarrel this morning, and wondered whether the plot would return to its original track in some way no matter how he intervened. So when he heard Draco's words, he habitually nodded and said "hmm" and let it go.

Draco looked at her and said, "I think they should let us bring our own brooms!"

Wuyou nodded again and said "Yes" and it was over.

Draco frowned: "Mavis, you are so perfunctory to me?!"

Just as he was about to complain about Wuyou, Madam Hooch had finished her explanation: "Now, everyone try to say "up" to the broom."

Seeing Wuyou's apologetic smile, Draco let her go temporarily. He raised his face and stretched out his hand to the broom on the ground and shouted, "Get up!"

The broom flew steadily and obediently into his hand. Harry also succeeded in one try, and Theodore and the others also got the broom quickly.

Ron was hit on the nose by a flying broom. He was covering his face and cursing in pain, which made Luo Yunchi beside him burst into laughter twice.

Hermione and Pansy shouted for a long time, but the broom just kept rolling on the ground and refused to get up.

Wuyou looked at the broom at her feet: "Get up!" The broom flew into her hand. Draco nodded approvingly: "Although it's worse than mine, it's not bad."

Madam Hooch continued to give instructions, "Now everyone, get on your brooms, wait for my command and tap the ground to float. Then, wait! Merlin! What are you doing?! Get down now!"

Everyone was just floating a little bit above the ground, but Neville suddenly flew up, and then the broom started flying around as if it had drunk fake alcohol, and it kept crashing around everywhere.

Madam Hooch shouted at him to stop in surprise, and Neville rushed towards them at full speed, scaring everyone on their brooms to dodge in panic. Neville on the broom started screaming in fear.

But before he could shout a few times, he was thrown down by the broom and caught on the spear of a statue. Then his clothes made a tearing sound and fell down.

"Wingardium Leviosa" Carefree's levitation spell acted as a buffer. Although Neville did not break his hand, he was still frightened and fainted.

Madam Hooch gave Slytherin extra points and ran over to check on Neville, then said to the remaining students, "I'm going to take him to the infirmary first, so don't get on your brooms anymore."

It happened so quickly that everyone was still immersed in the shock.
