Chapter 88 I Never Beat Him

Terence laughed at himself as he stepped on the leaves under his feet. It should be said that what Mavis cared about was not Malfoy, but Draco. In her eyes, there was not much difference between pure-blood saints and Muggles. Even if he was not the high and mighty Malfoy, but just some White or Smith, it didn't matter. She only liked the man named Draco.

On Halloween Eve of the first year, Draco was angry because Harry Potter was on the Quidditch team but he was not. When she took Draco's hand and took him to the observatory, Terence was also in the dark of the observatory.

He liked looking at the stars in the observatory. He liked those beautiful galaxies. He remembered the names and locations of many galaxies, so he happened to be there that night.

When he heard the voices of Mavis and Draco, he immediately chose to hide. Was he thinking of going to watch the stars after they left, or was he unwilling to believe that Mavis cared about Draco the most, so he hid and tried to find any reason to refute? Only he knew it.

Unfortunately, he didn't find any reason to refute it, and he remembered what Mavis said to Draco that night. She said that Draco was the most dazzling Draco.

Mavis had once looked at those galaxies with him at the observatory. That evening, Mavis met Terence in the school corridor as he was going to the observatory to look at the stars.

Mavis asked him with a smile where he was going. When she heard that he was going to the observatory to see the stars, she excitedly asked if she could go with him. Terrence nodded without even thinking.

It was sunset when the two of them arrived at the observatory. Mavis seemed to be glowing in the orange sunlight, and they talked and laughed until the stars came out.

Terence brought out the telescope from the observatory and asked, "What's your favorite constellation?"

Mavis looked at the stars in the sky and said with a smile, "I don't think so. After all, I always can't remember the names or appearances of the constellations in astronomy class, so how can I say I like any constellation? I just think the stars are beautiful."

Terrence looked at the stars shining in the sky and said, "Okay, how about I show you each constellation, and then you decide which one you like?"

Mavis excitedly leaned over and said, "Okay! So which one should we start with?"

Terence adjusted the position of the telescope and said, "Let's start with the northern constellations. They are the most common type, including Ursa Minor, Cepheus, Cassiopeia, Lyra, Cygnus, Vulpecula, etc. Which one do you want to see first?"

Mavis thought for a moment and asked, "How about looking at Draco first?"

Terence was stunned for a moment: "Draco?"

Mavis nodded: "Yes, I remember that Draco and Lyra are not far away."

Terence also realized that she was talking about Draco, not Draco, but he still felt uncomfortable.

She was not very clear about all the constellations, and could not see the shapes of them. Just as she said, she had no talent for these constellations, but she could only remember the position and appearance of Draco.

During the first-year Quidditch match, Terence wanted to give the Golden Snitch to Mavis, but in the end he lost to Harry Potter, and Mavis left with Draco.

At that time, Slytherin was deducted points because Draco had a fight with the Gryffindor people. Pansy and the others said that Draco was too irrational and caused the school to be deducted points because of such a small matter.

Mavis smiled and said, "What's the big deal? I can just double it back in a few days."

So in order to get extra points, she canceled her original appointment with Terrence to watch him train. That day, Terrence didn't catch the Golden Snitch the whole day.

In the second-year Quidditch trials, Draco's flying skills stood out among the crowd. Even he himself felt that Draco was more suitable to be a seeker, so he withdrew from the team.

On the day of the game, he sat in the audience and watched Draco take his place and play on the court. He was clearly a little behind Mavis, but Mavis never turned her eyes towards him from the moment she appeared until the end.

Draco caught the Golden Snitch and gave it to Mavis, but he missed the Golden Snitch and never had the chance to give it to her.

Terence stood up, looked in the direction she had just left and said, "Malfoy, it turns out I really never beat you."
