Necromancer: A New Era

Chapter 19 Whispers from the Devil

In the Mage Tower, life became colorful due to Ariel's presence, and Ming Yin gradually adapted to this quiet and soothing lifestyle.

One day, Chakar visited the Mage Tower and reported to Mingyin on his recent training progress.

"Sir, I have successfully completed the summoning!" After a whole year of unremitting efforts, Chakar finally succeeded in summoning the devil and signed a contract with it. He couldn't wait to show his results to Mingyin, eager to get his praise.

Ming Yin's eyes flashed with approval. For someone with no outstanding talent, mastering this spell in just one year undoubtedly required tremendous effort and long periods of meditation to improve his mental strength and magical reserves.

"Are your magic reserves sufficient?" Ming Yin asked.

"Yes, I have reached the level of a 2nd-level magician!" Chakar responded easily, but in fact, he insisted on meditating and practicing in his free time to improve his magic power reserves. This almost crazy persistence enabled him to be promoted from a magic apprentice to a 2nd-level magician in a short period of time, and successfully summoned a demon.

Ming Yin looked at Chakar's proud expression and was moved by his tenacity. This 11-year-old boy actually had such great power in his body.

"Show me your summoning." Ming Yin said.

Chakaer walked to an open space, holding a magic wand, and began to mobilize magic power and chant spells. As a hexagram magic array was completed, a humanoid demon gradually appeared.

The demon was thin and weak, holding a burning staff, and the wings on its back were atrophied, showing malnutrition. However, despite its unremarkable appearance, at Chakar's signal, it released a powerful attack skill towards the open space in the distance. The flames of hell attribute surged out from the staff wielded by the demon, condensing into a huge explosive fireball, which shot out at a high speed and caused a violent explosion in the open space.

Ming Yin witnessed this scene and was amazed at the power displayed by the demon. "It seems that the demon's talent is indeed extraordinary." He exclaimed.

On the top of the tower, Field also observed this scene through the crystal ball. He whispered to himself, "I wonder if Ming Yin has also mastered this summoning spell."

Thinking of this, he summoned the tower spirit and ordered it to notify Hercules to come and teach Mingyin the demon summoning spell.

Just under the Mage Tower, when Ming Yin was expressing his admiration for Chakar, a familiar voice was heard.

"Good boy, Chakaer, you were hiding here! I finally found you!" The voice came before the person arrived, and it was obviously the arrival of the "curious baby" Ariel.

Seeing this, Chakaer teased, "Sister Ariel, you are not here to see me, are you? You must be here to see my master!"

Ariel, whose thoughts were exposed, turned away in anger and chased after Chakaer in a pretentious manner. Chakaer dodged and continued to joke, making Ariel chase him around with a red face. Mingyin stood aside, smiling bitterly helplessly.

At this time, Hekris walked behind Ming Yin, who immediately turned around and saluted respectfully: "Master!"

"Ming Yin, are you willing to learn this demon summoning spell?" Hekris asked.

"Master, I have already learned this spell." Ming Yin responded calmly.

"Oh? Then show it to me!" said Hercules.

Ming Yin did not say much, he took out his staff and started to chant the spell. The magic circle was formed at an extremely fast speed, which made Hercules' eyes flash with surprise. He realized that Ming Yin not only mastered this spell, but also improved and optimized it.

As the magic circle was completed, a demon was summoned. However, when Hercules saw the demon, his expression suddenly changed.

"Not good!" He exclaimed, and quickly protected Ming Yin behind him. However, what happened next stunned him. The summoned demon actually walked in front of Ming Yin, knelt on one knee and said, "Master, what do you want?"

Hekris was so shocked that he couldn't speak. He looked at the 7th level demon in front of him, and his heart was filled with disbelief. He knew that a 7th level demon was equivalent to a lord-level existence. Apart from Field, he had never heard of anyone being able to summon such a demon. What shocked him even more was that this demon actually signed a master-servant contract with Ming Yin!

On the top floor of the Mage Tower, Field also felt this powerful demonic aura. These demons are gifted, arrogant and cruel. They would rather die than sign a master-servant contract. However, Ming Yin did it! Field was full of doubts and uneasiness. He didn't know how Ming Yin did it. There was only one voice in his mind that echoed wildly, "Kill him! Kill him! Kill him!!!"

Ming Yin stood there, bewildered, he had no idea what had just happened. He slowly dispersed the magic power around him, his eyes flickering with confusion. He came back to his senses from his shock, he looked at Ming Yin deeply, and said a profound word: "Not enough, you need to work harder." After saying that, he turned around and was about to leave, but suddenly stopped, as if he remembered something, turned back and said: "There is something important tomorrow, you need to attend." Then, he disappeared into the night.

Chakaer and Ariel, the two funny guys, also stopped playing. Chakaer was no stranger to the demons of Mingyin, but Ariel saw one for the first time. "Curious Baby" exclaimed as if possessed: "Wow, the demon you just summoned seems so powerful! What level is it? Why can it talk?"

Ming Yin was somewhat speechless after being asked this question. He didn't have time to chat here. He said a few perfunctory words and was ready to leave. But Ariel refused to let him go and hurriedly shouted: "Hey! Don't go, I have something to tell you!" Ming Yin stopped and turned around in confusion: "Oh? What's the matter?"

"The Holy Empire and the Southern Alliance Empire have sent two exchange and study delegations," Ariel whispered, "A welcome ceremony will be held tomorrow. Will you go?" Ming Yin remembered what his master had just said and nodded, "Yes, I will go." A hint of joy flashed in Ariel's eyes, and she whispered, "Then...then I will come to you tomorrow and I can take you there." Ming Yin responded with an okay and hurried away.

Chakaer looked at Mingyin's receding back and teased Ariel who was still in a daze: "Oh my, everyone has left!" Ariel's cheeks turned slightly red. She glared at Chakaer, pretended to be angry and chased Chakaer away.

On the top floor of the Mage Tower, Field whispered to a shadow: "Tomorrow night, ask all the tribesmen who came here to come to the Mage Tower." His voice was cold and firm, "Ming Yin must die. We can't let him spread this contract method!" The shadow whispered: "Yes!" and then slowly disappeared into the night. Field stood there, muttering to himself: "How did they do it?" His voice was hoarse and low, like the whisper of a devil, echoing in the night sky.
