He Yuzhu returns in Siheyuan

Chapter 6 A Fish Causes a Turbulence

As soon as He Yuzhu arrived at the backyard, he saw Liu Haizhong beating the child again. After all, Liu Haizhong's motto is "A good son is born under the stick."

He Yuzhu ignored the official fan Liu Haizhong, but Liu Haizhong saw the fish in He Yuzhu's hand: "Silly Zhu, I'll have a drink with you."

He Yuzhu originally wanted to say a few words to Liu Haizhong, but when he heard him being called Shazhu, he simply ignored him and went to the deaf old lady's house.

Liu Haizhong saw that He Yuzhu ignored him and whipped his son twice on the butt.

He Yuzhu arrived at the door of the deaf old lady's house and saw the deaf old lady coming out. She immediately saw He Yuzhu and said, "Silly Zhuzi, you haven't come to see me for several days."

He Yuzhu knew that the deaf old lady was the one who really cared about him, but he had given all the food to the Jia family some time ago: "Old lady, I've been busy these days. I heard that you didn't like to eat these days, so I bought a fish to nourish you."

The deaf old lady could always hear, but after all, she had lived a lifetime, and she noticed that He Yuzhu had changed a little: "Okay, let's eat fish."

He Yuzhu quickly placed the fish on the chopping board and skillfully scraped off the scales with a knife. In the blink of an eye, the scales fell like snowflakes, revealing the smooth surface of the fish. He Yuzhu's movements were quick and accurate, like an experienced artist, and every cut was just right. Then, He Yuzhu skillfully cleaned the fish. In a short while, the fish was cleaned neatly, as if it had just been fished out of the water.

Just as the deaf old lady was watching He Yuzhu packing the fish, Lou Xiao'e just came home: "Xiao'e, Xu Damao went to the village to show movies again."

Lou Xiao'e knew that Xu Damao and He Yuzhu didn't get along, so she didn't want to talk, but the deaf old lady asked, "Yes, Xu Damao went to the countryside to show a movie, and he won't be back until tomorrow afternoon. Old lady, do you have anything you want me to buy?"

The deaf old lady glanced at He Yuzhu who was cleaning the fish, her eyes rolled, and she remembered something: "Xiao'e, come to my house to eat fish tonight, you don't know how good Zhu's cooking skills are, if it were in the past, he would be the imperial chef."

Lou Xiao'e's mother is Tan Yi, who has learned Tan's cuisine, but due to family reasons, she rarely cooks. Lou Xiao'e herself can't learn it, but because of the relationship between Xu Damao and He Yuzhu, she can't bring herself to say, "This is not good."

He Yuzhu immediately understood the deaf old lady's idea, but he still had his own plans: "Okay, Xu Damao and I have nothing to do. Since the old lady asked you to come over, just come over."

Lou Xiao'e naturally knew He Yuzhu's cooking skills, so she agreed after hearing this, but she still went home to get the wine.

Qin Huairu never dreamed that He Yuzhu would have such an attitude towards her. How would her family live in the future if this continued? Just then, she saw the old man Yi Zhonghai coming back.

Qin Huairu came up with a plan and began to pretend to cry.

Seeing Qin Huairu crying, Yi Zhonghai trotted over and said, "It's Huairu, why don't you go home and cook? Why are you crying here?"

Qin Huairu knew that her plan had succeeded. She grabbed Yi Zhonghai's rough hand and shed two hypocritical tears: "Uncle, I don't know how I offended He Yuzhu. He didn't even bring us leftovers today. Uncle, you also know that without the help of Shazhu, how can our family survive?"

Yi Zhonghai was afraid that He Yuzhu would understand something: "Okay, Huairu, don't worry, I will talk to Shazhu in detail."

Qin Huairu knew she could still ask for something from Yi Zhonghai: "But."

Yi Zhonghai was not a fool. He knew what Qin Huairu was going to say as soon as he saw her. "Okay, Huairu, I know your family is having a hard time, but you also know that your aunt has been taking medicine. How about this, I still have about ten kilograms of cornmeal at home, and I will give it to you in the evening."

Qin Huairu also knew what Yi Zhonghai wanted to do, but she still agreed: "Then I will thank you here, uncle."

After Qin Huairu finished talking to Yi Zhonghai, she went back to her home. Unexpectedly, Jia Zhang saw that Qin Huairu had nothing in her hands.

"Qin Huairu, what were you doing just now? What were you doing as a widow and an old man whispering to each other?"

Bang Geng ran over. Every day at this time, Sha Zhu would bring back some food: "Mom, I'm hungry."

Jia Zhang thought Qin Huairu didn't see He Yuzhu, so she came back empty-handed: "Are you deaf? Didn't you hear your son say he was hungry? Oh, where's Shazhu's lunch box? Could it be that Shazhu hasn't come back yet?"

Qin Huairu was also very aggrieved. Every time she brought back the leftovers from He Yuzhu, they were all eaten by Jia Zhangshi and Banggeng. Huaihua and Xiaodang could only drink some soup, and she had nothing. But for Banggeng: "He Yuzhu is back, but he didn't bring back a lunch box today. Where can I get one?"

Jia Zhang knew that Qin Huairu didn't dare to lie to her.

Who knew that when Banggeng went out to play just now, he saw He Yuzhu: "Bad mom, you lied to me. When I came back, I saw that Shazhu had a big fish in his hand, enough for our family to have a meal."

Jia Zhang was also a little greedy for fish, after all, her family only depended on Qin Huairu. Jia Zhang was lazy and didn't want to do any work, so without He Yuzhu, she couldn't have meat: "Qin Huairu, where's the fish? Why didn't you bring it back?"

Qin Huairu didn't know how Jia Zhang started talking, but she didn't know what to say.

Jia Zhang knew that He Yuzhu had that intention towards Qin Huairu, and Qin Huairu had been fishing for He Yuzhu. If she hadn't been there, something would have happened long ago: "He Yuzhu is too much. Why didn't he help our family with the fish? We are so poor."

Bang Geng went to He Yuzhu's house just like he was going to his own home: "Okay, I'll go get it right away."

Jia Zhang was very happy.

"return."

Banggeng still listened to Qin Huairu and didn't move.

Jia Zhang was unwilling to do so: "What's wrong? Are you unwilling to do so when I mention your little lover? And yet you say that you and He Yuzhu have no affair, who would believe it? Old Jia, Dongxu, come up and take a look."

What annoyed Qin Huairu the most was Jia Zhang's soul-calling technique, which she had used for half her life. "That's enough, why are you crying? I don't know what's wrong with Sha Zhu today. He took the fish he bought to the backyard, saying that he was giving it to the deaf old lady to replenish her body. Why should I accept it?"

Jia Zhang was still half-believing and half-doubting and asked, "Really?"

Qin Huairu didn't want to eat fish, but she really didn't know what He Yuzhu was thinking: "Why would I lie to you?"

The person that Jia Zhang was most afraid to offend in this courtyard was the deaf old lady in the backyard. Relying on her seniority, Jia Zhang did not dare to say anything: "Damn it, what's so good about that old woman in the backyard? She's almost dead, and she's still eating fish. Aren't you afraid of choking to death? Why don't you nourish my precious grandson?"
