Mysteries: Arcana Wars

Chapter 331 Emergency Plan

There were many enthusiastic citizens, but looking at the kidnappers and crocodiles ascending to heaven on the spot, everyone was hesitant or regretful.

Rainbow Brush, crying bitterly, realized that something was wrong and immediately rushed into the yellow telephone booth on the street.

The emergency defense booth, which looks like a yellow telephone booth with large slogans in Loen and Aboriginal languages, is a specialty facility of the Republic of Rorsted. In the event of sudden violence, people can use the equipment of the emergency defense booth in accordance with the law to protect their lives and property.

Due to its special geographical location, the Rorsted Archipelago has been a gathering place for various frictions and chaos since the Fifth Era, especially Bayam, which is known as the "City of Generosity". Due to its superior strategic value, Bayam still suffered harassment from all sides after the disaster at the end of the Fifth Era. In the Sixth Era, it took a long time for the original Rorsted resistance army and the new Republic government to make Bayam and the Rorsted Archipelago have a relatively stable order.

The depression and desolation after the apocalypse inspired people to commit illegal acts, and physical hunger and spiritual collapse further fueled chaos and disorder. During this period, the pirate culture in the Sonia Sea became increasingly rampant, and there were many conflicts with the Rorsted government, the Church of the Lost God, and the Church of the Storm. Faced with the reconstruction problems in the post-apocalyptic era, the authorities found it difficult to preserve these innocent apocalyptic survivors in various conflicts, so they began to set up some shelters in the city, painted yellow, guarded by a special official violence team, and opened to the public in emergencies to avoid violent incidents or extraordinary disasters.

As the martial virtues of the people of Bayam gradually grew and the government gradually became more stable, some people who came to the pavilion for refuge would snatch the spare spears in the pavilion and join the officials in fighting against the robbers and land pirates. As time went by, social order and economic conditions gradually improved, and people no longer needed to guard against robbers and pirates, the original shelter pavilion was preserved and evolved into the unmanned emergency defense pavilion that is now available for everyone's emergency needs.

But now, Rorsted is a country ruled by law with complete laws, and there are strict restrictions on the use of emergency defense booths, especially the weapons in them. Generally speaking, only the parties who have been violated are qualified to legally use weapons, and other enthusiastic onlookers can only legally use emergency weapons in very rare cases. All emergency weapons have been connected to the relevant departments. When necessary, managers can remotely control the weapons to shut down and force a ceasefire.

The emergency medicines in the yellow telephone booths are open to everyone. Of course, all medicines are connected to the Internet, and any use of medicines will be recorded. Inappropriate behavior will be stopped and may even be remotely electrocuted.

The weapon usually placed in the yellow telephone booth is a relatively large submachine gun, which is then painted the same bright yellow as the emergency defense booth. In Bayam, this standard firearm is called the [Worker Bee] submachine gun.

Sometimes other types of firearms appear in emergency defense booths, all of which are large and painted bright yellow. Small weapons such as pistols are not allowed in yellow telephone booths, as such small weapons that are easy to hide may become another safety hazard. Large and brightly colored yellow firearms are conspicuous in the crowd anyway and can serve as a warning and marking.

Now, the robbed Rainbow Brush smashed the protective glass with one punch, took weapons and ammunition from the cabinet, ran out, and fired at the helicopter bicycle in the sky.

Unfortunately, the victim's shooting skills were horrible. Together, they acted as fiercely as a tiger, and the kidnappers had already passed through thousands of mountains. Obviously, Rainbow Brush was unwilling to give up so easily. He followed closely on the ground in turbocharged slippers, uttering harsh words while calling for help. Then the two of them rushed out of Klein's sight.

From the perspective of the Western Continent, the police in Bayam must have a hard life, and the enthusiastic people of Bayam can also be another reliable civilian intelligence agency.

The police responded promptly. A fleet of drones whizzed past Klein, and several police cars drove over with sirens blaring.

The entire block suddenly became lively, with sirens, shouting, gunshots, and wails wailing, ping-pong sounds, and chaotic sound waves coming from far away in all directions, as if they were spinning in three-dimensional surround sound in Klein's mind.

Finally, after circling the street, the kidnapper holding the rainbow crocodile appeared in Klein's sight again on a broken helicopter bicycle. It was obvious that he was at the end of his strength.

Several more drones came roaring in. Klein's intuition triggered him to discover something unusual about these drones: they had no engines or electronic control systems.

This is the drone used by the Church of the Storm, and is used by Extraordinary people of the church's "Wind-loving Ones" and above. They have no self-generated power, and are purely mechanical systems. They rely entirely on the user to control wind and airflow. They are not afraid of any network hackers and electromagnetic weapons, and can perform many super-difficult actions that ordinary electronic drones can hardly perform.

The most important thing is that it is cheap, available in large quantities and not expensive.

Soon the two sides met in the air. The Storm drones showed amazing lightness and flexibility. The three drones surrounded the robbers in an irregular form and avoided the robbers' weapons. Finally, when the robbers were not prepared, a drone inserted directly into the motor of the helicopter bike from the back, causing the engine to explode. The aircraft fell down with black flames.

More Storm drones rushed towards the kidnapper and shoveled him off the aircraft. The bicycle fell back down, and the kidnapper and the crocodile were taken down by the drone and gently thrown to the ground.

Before the rainbow brush could react, a middle-aged man with blue hair rushed out, leaped up, and slammed the kidnapper hard on the back, pinning him down.

"Run! Asshole, why don't you run!"

Andre Becker yelled violently and spat heavily at the fugitive.

"You're such a fucking scum!"

This man also wore a full set of standard mobile armor, which was the standard for official violent personnel. But his equipment was very different from the gray armor of the police officers just now. It was gray or blue-gray overall, and there was no police slogan printed on it, not even any logo.

The Storm drones that had just been hovering in the air gathered around him, surrounding the kidnapper tightly.

This person is the operator of these drones, the "Substitute Punisher" of the Church of the Storm.

After the kidnapper was controlled for a few seconds, the remaining pursuers caught up and captured the kidnapper completely.

The farce ended just like that. By eavesdropping on everyone's conversation, Klein learned that the Punisher was called Andre Becker. He and the police were briefly interrogating the kidnapper. Another group of police officers were investigating the victim Rainbow Brush and the onlookers around. Two other police officers entered the department store to investigate the death of the person who jumped from the building.

Three police officers with special equipment caught Klein's attention. Like Andre, the Substitute Punisher, they did not have any departmental markings printed on their mobile armor, and they were not the same style as the police officers. However, the equipment of these three was not the same model and color as Andre's, and some indicator lights emitted cold purple and yellow light.

The tallest of them lifted up his mask, revealing a familiar childish face.

Derrick Berg.
