Black Myth: You and I are both destined

Chapter 94 Once upon a time there was a country called Shali!

"Second Brother, let me guess first, did the king happen to encounter some disasters after he opposed Buddhism?"

"Alas! My dear nephew, what you said is not true. This Shali country is just a small country next to the Flaming Mountain. The Buddhist sect didn't even pretend this time."

It is said that after the destruction of Buddhism, the days of the Shali Kingdom should have gotten better.

The common people did not have to save money to build golden Buddha statues, let alone construct temples, and ended up becoming tenants.

If that were the case, Buddhism would be a door.

Their good days did not last long, as an insect with a huge Buddha head on its back descended upon the country of Shali and harassed them day and night.

This big insect is called "蝜蝂". No one dares to know its origin. There is only a wind-fixing bead in its body, which is said to be the personal treasure of Lingji Bodhisattva.

The people of Shali naturally did not understand the reason, but those who knew a little about magic could see that this was a small punishment from Lingji Bodhisattva for this small country's disrespect for Buddhism.

After all, that Buddha head looks the same as Lingji Bodhisattva!

According to legend, the giant beast dug its way out of the ground and destroyed all the villages on the border, causing countless deaths and injuries. From then on, every day when the drum was beaten at dusk, the giant beast would come out.

"Good, good, good! Buddha sent the drums, Lingji sent the insects!"

Tianming had seen this scene over and over again, and it was very familiar to him.

"If you don't beat the drum, your future generations will suffer; if you beat the drum, the newly built city will be torn down by the giant insect and the people will be killed."

"Both sides are disasters caused by Buddhism, but they call it giving mortals a choice. This is what they call destiny!"

"Hey, it's an old tradition. After all, they live in the West. In my world, they are still like this, but now they use a different word called 'respect'. They respect all kinds of people, all kinds of free will, all kinds of beliefs, and all kinds of minorities..."

"Forget it, Second Brother, please continue talking. I was just farting, please don't mind."

Zhu Bajie laughed.

"My dear nephew, you'd better keep your mouth shut, or you'll become mute one day, and then there will be a bunch of evil monks laughing at you."

Then he went on to talk about the country of Shali.

Later, a yellow-haired sable came here and quelled the disaster caused by the cicadas.

It stands to reason that Lingji Bodhisattva has already completed the "small punishment and big warning" for this place, and the yellow-haired sable has also been regarded as the king's national teacher. No matter whether it is major state affairs or minor matters of people's livelihood, Huang must first seek his opinion and listen to his views.

But the bad thing is that the yellow-haired marten actually wants to live here and bring his relatives to the country of Shali to settle down.

At the suggestion of the national teacher, the king issued the "Rat Respect Order", and rats and monsters from all over the country migrated into the city.

What a great rat-respecting order!

What a rat demon coming into the city!

In the future, when these lowly rat spirits live in the city, to whom should we offer incense?

They look so poor that people probably can drive them to eliminate disasters and troubles by just throwing them a few pieces of meat!

It is not a good deed for them to arbitrarily lower the fees for disaster relief!

It is irresponsible to disrupt the market like this!

True kindness also requires considering whether other competitors can afford such low prices!

Of course, this is just the Bodhisattvas' point of view. Ordinary people will naturally choose whichever one offers good quality and low price.

Of course, because the yellow-haired sable is kind, disaster comes again!

One day later, an old scholar was trembling, covering his ears with his hands, and walking slowly back home.

For the next three days, the king did not attend court, and there was a large-scale job reshuffle among court officials.

The scholar was promoted to Sikong, a very high official position, which brought his status and prestige to its peak.

However, one day a few years later, when he looked in the mirror, he found that his nose had become long and pointed, and a rough and tough beard had grown next to it.

As time went on, he even stopped looking in the mirror, realizing that he, like everyone else, had become unrecognizable, with a rat-like face.

Everyone in the country turned into rat spirits, and no one was spared, including princes, ministers, and common people.

Similarly, no one dared to know why they suffered the disaster. It was only later that it was heard that after that day, the yellow-haired mink felt guilty all day long and said that it was he who brought the disaster.

It is really hard to believe that the cunning rat demon who changed his head into a Buddha's head is actually a hero who saves the country. Tianming shook his head and sighed!

"Now I have also learned to judge people by their appearance! Hahaha..."

He stroked his chin and specifically looked at the part that the yellow-haired mink felt guilty about later.

That day, the yellow-haired mink knelt on the ground with tears streaming down his face.

"If someone brings disaster to others, they will bring disaster back to them. If not me, then someone else."

The next moment, in the peaceful Buddhist light, Lingji Bodhisattva slowly appeared.

He held a magical weapon in his hand, an intricately carved Zen staff with eight celestial dragons coiled around it.

Lingji Bodhisattva's body radiates a faint golden light, his face is kind and solemn, and his clothes are fluttering.

However, at this moment, there was a slight trace of bird's feet under his feet. Those were a pair of feet that did not belong to the mortal world, light and elegant, yet with a hint of disharmony.

But this state was only fleeting.

"It is a human, an animal, a Buddha, and a demon."

He obviously heard what the yellow-haired sable said, but he magnanimously recited Buddhist teachings to teach the other party.

"All living beings have their own aptitudes, and they are ranked according to their superiority and inferiority. They cannot act arbitrarily."

"do you think so?"

"Yellow Wind?"

Tianming despised this remark extremely.

The roots are the six desires. Those monsters and beasts never control their desires. The Buddha’s six roots are pure. Who is superior and who is inferior, who is in front and who is behind, has already been determined.

What he said meant that the yellow-haired sable was a despicable monster and had no right to steal business from the Buddha's head.

But even such unreasonable words as "heaven-destined class" still made the yellow-haired sable unable to raise its head.

The yellow-haired sable surrendered at the feet of Lingji Bodhisattva, with tears in its eyes, and kissed the back of the Bodhisattva's feet.

"You're right!"

Of course he was right. Now that the Bodhisattva had appeared, everything was settled.

If what the Buddha said is right, it will enlighten me. Praise the Buddha.

If the Buddha is wrong, it means that my roots are not strong enough and I cannot understand it.

In other words, what the Buddha talked about is Zen. There is no right or wrong in Zen. It only matters whether you understand it now or in the future.

Even a fool wouldn't have to think too much about this kind of thing.

After all, "God's arrangements are the best."

After that day, there was no more Great Sage Huangfeng in this world, but Bodhisattva Lingji had a well-behaved new disciple!

Tianming was inevitably touched, and he remembered what Li Shimin had said.

"I will also be a loyal minister."

At this moment, he couldn't tell whether humans were evil, or monsters were evil, or whether gods and Buddhas were more evil!

Regarding this matter, perhaps every person with destiny has a different opinion.

Tianming continued to watch what happened next.

Later, an old horse passing by said, "The rat that stole the oil got up to the high platform, someone must have set up a ladder for him."

There was also the second prince Shajilang who turned into a rat spirit and said: "The king is not bad, the big bird deserves it."

Tiger Vanguard said: "The king's master is not for us to discuss. However, I have heard my father mention that the king hates this birdman the most. He said he wanted to be his disciple, but I think he wanted to seek his protection. You have to let go of the monsters in the mountains. The gods and Buddhas have no mercy on you. You just take what you need."

Seeing this, Tianming suddenly stopped, frowned, and clenched his fists.

"What's wrong with you, little monkey?"

"Nothing, Second Brother, I just had an inexplicable feeling when I saw this Tiger Vanguard, I have to go down and talk to it!"
