Hogwarts: I am the White Lord

Four spells of different colors appeared instantly and hit the opponent's queen almost in no particular order.

Unfortunately, apart from Harry's disarming spell that knocked the scepter out of the opponent's hand, the spells cast by the other three did not have any effect.

"The Stunning Charm doesn't work!" Malfoy yelled. "Stop using the Stunning Charm."

"The petrification spell doesn't work either." Hermione also discovered that not all spells were effective.

"The Disarming Charm worked," Harry's voice was full of surprise. "Use the Disarming Charm to knock all the weapons out of their hands first."

Ron was just about to use the Disarming Spell when he saw the attacked Queen slowly moving towards the knight he represented.

Although the queen no longer had the scepter in her hand, she still raised her fists high and smashed them down hard at Ron.

"Merlin's socks!" Ron yelled, jumping off the stone horse and avoiding the opponent's attack.

Boom!

With a loud bang, the stone horse was knocked to the ground and shattered by the queen's fists. The broken stones flew everywhere and hit Ron hard.

Fortunately, after this attack, the queen's arms were shattered, and the threat was greatly reduced for a while.

"Ron, come and join us." Harry called to Ron and quickly looked around.

He discovered that the broken pieces outside the chessboard had a tendency to heal, which frightened him so much that he quickly shouted to Malfoy.

"Malfoy, come to the chessboard quickly, or the fallen pieces will be resurrected."

Malfoy was so frightened by this sudden change that he was speechless, and he quickly took a step forward and came to the chessboard.

Fortunately, after he stood on the chessboard, the broken pieces stopped healing.

However, before they could even breathe a sigh of relief, they discovered that the remaining enemy pieces had all started moving.

"Don't panic, everyone. Our pieces are not attacking us, so there are only five opponents."

As Harry shouted, he used Disarming Charms on the moving chess pieces, trying to minimize their threat.

"No, we need some powerful spells!" Malfoy's throat was smoking with anxiety.

After discovering that none of his spells worked, Malfoy could sit still any longer.

Although his strength was already among the best among his peers, he was, after all, only a first-grade wizard, and the power of his spells was not very high.

"Do you know how to cast an explosive spell?" Malfoy racked his brains and came up with a powerful spell.

"No!" Ron yelled at Malfoy, "It was all your bad idea, talking about brute force clearance, but we haven't even broken a single chess piece yet."

"If we follow my method, we would have won by now. Now, the best outcome for us is to start the game over again."

"Stop making noise!" Hermione shouted, "Don't disturb my thoughts!"

The chess pieces here should be left behind by Professor McGonagall using Transfiguration. Ordinary spells are of no use on them.

The petrification spell didn't work because the pieces themselves were made of stone.

The stunning spell is useless because these chess pieces have no consciousness and cannot become unconscious.

The ropes released by the binding spell wrapped around these chess pieces can be easily stretched apart.

Now it seems that Transfiguration is indeed the nemesis of most spells!

Unfortunately, the explosive spell that Malfoy mentioned was an advanced spell, and none of the people present knew it.

How to do?

Without powerful spells, it's really hard to defeat these pieces.

Hermione was extremely anxious. She found that Harry had rushed forward and started to buy time for everyone with his flexible movements.

This is not the way to go!

Although all of the opponent's weapons were knocked away, it didn't look very dangerous.

But the chessboard is so small that Harry will be blocked by the opponent sooner or later.

Professor Flitwick had talked about the interplay of spells, so there must be some common spells that could work on these chess pieces.

Suddenly, her eyes lit up and she remembered a spell in the book.

"Harry, Ron, Malfoy, there is a simple spell - the Repulsive Spell, do you know it?"

After seeing the three people shaking their heads, Hermione's voice became a little anxious.

"I have only seen the gestures and spells for the repulsive spell in books, but I have never used it. What should I do?"

"Hermione! Feel free to try. I can still hold off for a while! These pieces aren't that flexible."

"Yes, Hermione! You are the smartest witch I have ever met," Ron encouraged loudly, "You will definitely succeed. I believe in your ability to learn on your own."

Malfoy didn't say anything, but just looked at Hermione with burning eyes. At the same time, he made up his mind that he must learn more spells when he returned.

Hearing her friends' encouragement, Hermione closed her eyes and simulated the spell over and over in her mind.

The wand is easy to wield, just point it firmly at your target.

The key is the mantra, to concentrate, and to believe that you can succeed!

Hermione silently repeated the spell twice in her mind, and opened her eyes after confirming that it was correct.

Her eyes became sharp, and she looked at a knight chess piece besieging Harry and raised her wand.

"Repulse with all your strength!"

As soon as she finished speaking, a barely perceptible red light shot out from Hermione's wand and hit the knight.

With a loud bang, the knight seemed to be hit suddenly by an invisible force. His whole body instantly flew into the air, flew backwards several meters, and fell heavily to the ground outside the chessboard.

Looking at the knight flying out of the chessboard, Harry and the other two widened their eyes. They had never expected that a small repelling spell could have such a big effect.

They stared closely at the fallen knight, fearing that it would stand up again and return to the chessboard.

Wow!

The knight's body shattered and turned into rubble, with no sign of recovery.

"Success!" Ron shouted happily, "Come on, Hermione, teach us how to do it."

"There are only four left, come on!" Harry dodged the opponent's king's grabbing hand and quickly ran to his companions.

Under Hermione's instruction, Harry and Malfoy quickly learned the spell and each knocked a chess piece away before the other chess pieces surrounded them.

After failing once, Hermione successfully cast the repulsive spell again and knocked the opponent's king off the chessboard.

For a moment, there was only a queen with broken arms left on the chessboard. Everyone felt less stressed and looked at Ron.

"Weasley, are you able to do this?" Malfoy took the opportunity to mock, "If you can't, get out of the way quickly and don't delay our progress."

"You can't!" Ron retorted with a red face.

"It just tried to punch me in the chest with its little fist, and I still want to settle the score with it!"

"Get out of the way, let me settle my feud with the queen!"

Ron repeated the spell in his mind again and pointed his wand at the queen who was slowly approaching.

He felt that this time he would definitely succeed, so he took a deep breath and chanted the spell firmly.

"Repulse with all your strength!"
