Hogwarts: I am the White Lord

Chapter 207: Anxiety before the Exam

It is now late May, and there are only seven days left until the final exams.

The Hogwarts castle was filled with a tense atmosphere, and the anxiety was like an invisible mist, covering the entire school.

In the corridor, students coming and going had different expressions. Some walked quickly to the classroom, as if hoping to grasp at straws in the last few review classes;

Some people looked pale and walked with heavy steps, as if they could no longer cope with the pressure that was about to come;

Some people even anxiously recite what they have memorized while walking, for fear that they will forget some key knowledge.

In the auditorium, the long table that was usually filled with laughter and joy now had a hint of depression.

Many students just mechanically stuffed food into their mouths with their eyes fixed on their textbooks. It was obvious that they only ate this food to fill their stomachs and stay alive.

Some students even scratch their hair or bite their nails anxiously, without paying any attention to hygiene when eating, as if this can relieve stress.

Tranquilizers and cheer potions once again became must-have potions for young wizards. Fortunately, the school had sufficient reserves of potions, so Madam Pomfrey did not become too busy to the point of collapse.

Peeves, the ghost who often causes trouble in Hogwarts, keenly noticed the pressure on the young wizards.

Every now and then he would suddenly appear next to the nervous little wizards and shout, "Exam time is here!"

"Don't review anymore. You're definitely going to fail the exam at this level!"

This kind of prank often causes students to scream in fear, and some timid little wizards will even fall to the ground with pale faces.

For a time, Peeves aroused the wrath of heaven and man, and many young wizards came to Sebastian to denounce Peeves' crimes to him.

"In just this morning, Peeves made several stressed-out students cry."

Malfoy said indignantly: "He must have observed those students carefully, so he can accurately poke those students' pain points every time."

"Professor Swann," Malfoy pleaded, "could you please take care of this?"

Yo--

Xiaolong has made great progress and now knows how to care about his classmates.

Sebastian's mouth curled up slightly and he looked at Malfoy with a smile.

As if he understood Sebastian's look, Malfoy straightened his face and said, "I'm not trying to stand up for those classmates."

"It's mainly because Peeves is too annoying. He makes people panic and makes it impossible for them to study in peace."

"Professor, you must help us."

Looking at Malfoy's duplicity, Sebastian smiled slightly.

"Peeves is indeed a bit rude. Come on, I'll go and give him a lesson and make everyone happy."

Soon, the group found Peeves in the corridor on the second floor, chasing after the little wizards and talking trash to them.

Sebastian raised his wand and used emotional magic to make Peeves and the little wizards feel the same way.

Suddenly, Peeves felt a huge shock, his eyes became unfocused, and he kept muttering.

"It's over. I'm definitely going to fail. The OWL exam is too difficult."

"Why is History of Magic so boring? There are too many things to memorize. I hate memorizing."

"I have to review the compulsory questions for each subject again. I don't want to fail miserably."

"I want to blow up the school. I want to blow up the school! Then we don't have to take exams."

Emotional magic was surprisingly effective against Peeves. For a moment, it seemed as if all the anxious emotions of the little wizard appeared on Peeves.

"Professor, will Peeves always be like this?" The students exchanged excited glances with each other and asked impatiently, "Peeves doesn't seem so annoying now."

Looking at the excited eyes of the students, Sebastian smiled slightly: "This state can probably last for a week."

"Peeves won't bother you any more until the exam, so just study hard."

After Sebastian left, several students who had been bullied by Peeves bravely came to Peeves.

Fold it into the shape of a ball and play a passing game together.

The little wizards let out a sigh of relief and smiled happily, with their anxious emotions alleviated a lot.

While Sebastian was dealing with Peeves, Harry and the other two sat in a circle in the Gryffindor common room, studying hard for their final exams.

Hermione's pen tip slid rapidly across the paper, trying to remember every possible spell and theory more firmly.

Occasionally, she would grumble quietly about a difficult problem, then immediately return to her work.

Harry quietly studied the astronomy textbook. Among several subjects, astronomy and history of magic were his weak subjects.

Unlike Harry and Hermione, Ron seemed a little anxious.

Suddenly, he threw the textbook in his hand, collapsed on the chair, and cried loudly.

"I'm done. I have to retake my Potions class. I still can't remember all the steps for the required exam - how to make a swelling potion."

"When I think of Professor Snape's serious expression, my mind goes blank."

"I haven't succeeded once so far. I'm done!"

Hermione couldn't help but roll her eyes and said unhappily, "I've been asking you to review since February."

"What did you say? There is still enough time. You will definitely be able to practice all the required questions before the exam."

"It's been delayed until now, there's not enough time."

Although Harry and Snape had a good relationship, he was also afraid of Snape when he was serious.

If Ron failed the required exams, his fate would be miserable.

Harry thought about the steps for making the swelling potion and comforted Ron, "Professor Snape has simplified the steps a lot."

"I'll tell you the trick. Add 2 spoons of dried nettles and 3 portions of puffer fish eyes to the mortar and grind them into medium-fine powder. Don't make the mistake in the quantities."

"Mix the two powders and add them to the crucible. Heat over medium heat for 2 seconds. Remember this time."

"After gently waving the wand over the crucible, let it simmer for about 60 minutes."

Harry spoke very slowly, fearing that Ron would not remember the key points, and for a moment he acted like a Potions assistant teacher.

"After completing the above steps, add 1 portion of bat spleen to the crucible, stir counterclockwise 4 times, and heat on low heat for 30 seconds."

"Before turning off the fire, don't forget the last step of waving the magic wand. If you forget this step, all your efforts will fail."

"As long as you follow the steps one by one, you will definitely be able to make it successfully."

"How about this, don't just memorize it. I still have some ingredients for the swelling potion here. Just go and try it out."

"Thank you, Harry." Ron took the potion ingredients handed to him by Harry with tears in his eyes.

"If I can pass the Potions exam, I will definitely work like a slave to repay you."
