Hogwarts: I am the White Lord

Chapter 270: Umbridge's wrath

Umbridge's face was so gloomy that it was almost dripping with water, as if a dark cloud was hanging over her face.

She snatched the visitor card handed to her by Professor McGonagall and tapped the card coldly with her short, thick wand.

With the touch of the wand, the card glowed faintly, indicating that her identity had been confirmed.

Umbridge looked up at Hogwarts Castle in the distance, her eyes full of contempt and hostility.

She didn't say a word, but followed Professor McGonagall towards the castle with her head held high, as if she was not a visitor but the ruler who came here to inspect the territory.

As lunch time approached, the school was filled with students rushing to the auditorium.

Seeing Umbridge following behind Professor McGonagall, the students cast curious glances at her and couldn't help but whisper.

"Who's that in pink?"

"It seems to be the Deputy Minister of Magic. I have seen her on the news before."

"What is she here for, about the Dementors?"

"I see. She must be here to apologize to the school on behalf of the Ministry of Magic."

"It's very possible. I heard that the Ministry of Magic received hundreds of Howlers this morning. It can't handle it."

Hearing the students' discussions, Umbridge sneered.

The students' looks and whispers played into her hands.

What's the point of arguing with Dumbledore? He won't admit his mistakes anyway.

She wanted to create conflicts, expand the impact of the incident, and attract students' attention to herself.

The more attention the Hogwarts students paid, the more successful her plan would be.

She wanted everyone here to understand that the authority of the Ministry of Magic was inviolable, and Hogwarts was no exception.

When they reached the open space in front of the Great Hall, Umbridge nodded imperceptibly.

That’s about it. There are enough students and audiences here, which is a good opportunity for me to show my talents.

Thinking of this, she stopped and said righteously.

"Professor McGonagall, I'm here today to investigate the Dementor attack."

"From what I know, at least ten Dementors have been killed. This is a huge loss to the entire wizarding world."

"I want to ask, why do the professors at Hogwarts allow students to harm good employees of the Ministry of Magic?"

"Does that mean that all the students taught at Hogwarts are murderers who cannot distinguish right from wrong?"

Hearing this, the students were stunned and gathered around and cursed.

"Good fellow, not only did he not apologize, but he even filed a complaint first."

"I've never seen such a shameless birdman!"

"You are so old, but you still wear pink clothes and act like a little girl. How shameless!"

The students were full of fighting spirit and vowed to let this pink weirdo see the fighting power of British teenagers.

Umbridge remained unmoved, just wore a fake smile and stared at Professor McGonagall.

Professor McGonagall was also amused by this remark that turned the tables on herself. Her face also darkened, and she seriously denounced to Umbridge the Dementors' brutality of breaking into the Quidditch pitch and attacking students.

After the Dementor rampage yesterday, she no longer had any illusions about the safety of the Dementors.

Letting those guys guard Hogwarts, there's no telling when they might threaten the students' safety again.

She strongly demanded that Umbridge take all the Dementors away from Hogwarts.

Hearing Professor McGonagall's request, Umbridge opened her eyes wide and screamed at the top of her voice.

"What an irresponsible idea! If we remove the Dementors, what will happen to the children's safety? What if Black sneaks into the castle..."

"I don't think the Dementors can find Black." Professor McGonagall interrupted without paying any attention to the other party's expression.

"If Dementors were really useful, Black's escape from prison would not have happened."

"Besides, Hogwarts used a large number of alchemical items to upgrade its defense system. You have just witnessed its power."

"As long as a stranger enters Hogwarts, the alarm will be triggered, and the professors will naturally ensure the safety of the students at that time."

"The Dementors are completely unnecessary here and will threaten the safety of the students."

"How could you think that?" Umbridge's voice was sharp and harsh. "Alchemical tools are dead, and Dementors are alive."

"For a criminal like Blake, he must have a way to make these alchemical tools ineffective."

"Besides, Dementors are employed by the Ministry of Magic and will not enter the campus without orders. What happened yesterday was definitely a misunderstanding!"

Misunderstand? !

How can you even say such words?

Professor McGonagall laughed angrily: "All the students at Hogwarts can prove that this is not a misunderstanding. The parents who mailed the letter to the Ministry of Magic should not think it is a misunderstanding either."

"Of course it's a misunderstanding!" Umbridge had no intention of admitting this vicious incident caused by the Ministry of Magic's mistake.

"The reason why the Dementors entered the campus is because they discovered Black's presence."

"If it weren't for them, you probably wouldn't have realized that Blake had found a loophole in your defense system, nor would you have discovered that the alchemical items were not reliable at all."

"Instead of being grateful, you guys killed them. It's really sad."

The students watching were in an uproar again.

"Merlin's pink toad, I've seen shameless people before, but I've never seen one as shameless as this."

"You are trying to say black is white!"

"No wonder he can be a deputy minister. His thick skin can definitely resist the Killing Curse."

"Don't scold me yet. What she said makes sense. Could it be that the Dementors really came in because they found Black's trail?"

"Do you have a brain? It's obvious that the Dementors went crazy because they felt a lot of happy emotions."

"What if..."

Umbridge smirked, as if she had anticipated the students' reactions.

She stood up straight, held her head high, and put on a victorious posture, as if she had already won this war without gunpowder.

"To prove the innocence of the Dementors and bring justice to the Ministry of Magic."

"I invite everyone to go to the school gate and ask the Dementors to see if the facts are the same as I said."

Hearing Umbridge's nonsense, Sebastian, who was watching in the crowd, couldn't help but curl his lips.

hehe--

Not only did he bully our Professor Cat, he also said that my alchemical tools were unreliable.

interesting!

Today I must let you know why the flowers are so red.

He quietly retreated behind the crowd, used the Disillusionment Spell to get to the school gate first, and found the working soul who was showing off here.

He first gave the working soul some instructions, then took out a special mini headset, asked the working soul to wear it on his head, and covered it with a gray robe.

Then he hid aside, took out the magic camera, and waited quietly for the show to begin with the help of the Disillusionment Charm.
