Hogwarts: I am the White Lord

Chapter 284: Novel Sorting Ceremony

On Sunday morning, after breakfast, two Ilvermorny students came and led Harry and the other three to visit the campus.

Harry and his companions walked through this North American magic school and felt an atmosphere that was completely different from that of Hogwarts.

As Harry listened to the students of Ilvermorny talking about the history of the school, he gradually became attracted by the background of the school.

He learned that the founding of Ilvermorny could be traced back to the early 17th century.

Back then, it was just a small stone cottage built by an Irish witch called Isolt Sayre and her Muggle husband James Stewart.

What Harry found incredible was that this now large-scale wizarding school was originally founded by Isolt for her two adopted children, Chadwick and Webster.

Aesop told the story of Hogwarts, which made the two children yearn for the magical world.

When the two children were eleven years old, a school with only two teachers and two students was established.

As time went on, Ilvermorny's reputation spread, and many wizarding families began to send their children to study there.

As Ilvermorny grew, the original stone house was expanded and eventually turned into a magnificent castle.

Harry and his friends kept visiting the school, and finally they came to a famous attraction outside the school, a dense snake tree that was carefully protected.

"This snakewood is extremely tough and cannot be cut or destroyed. Its leaves have very powerful medicinal effects and are excellent materials for making healing potions."

Harry was very curious about how magical this snake tree was that it was so closely protected.

The densely packed protective magic patterns all around make one's scalp tingle at just one look.

However, Harry always had a strange urge to communicate with the tree in Parseltongue.

In order to avoid trouble, Harry forced himself to suppress his ridiculous impulse.

What Harry didn't know was that the snakewood had actually grown from a special wand.

It was a snakewood wand made by Salazar Slytherin himself, with a basilisk horn as its core.

It has a very magical function, which is to enter sleep or wake up state after hearing the command issued by Parseltongue.

Fortunately, Harry did not act impulsively, otherwise it might have caused a big mess.

It was evening, and Sebastian and Snape took five students to the sorting hall.

That’s right, the special event that Ilvermorny prepared before the dinner was to let delegations from other schools experience the special sorting ceremony here.

Then, based on the results of the division, students from each delegation were dispersed to the long tables of each college to achieve the purpose of communication and learning.

Because Ilvermorny was founded by Aesop Sayre based on Hogwarts.

So, like Hogwarts, there are four different houses here.

But unlike Hogwarts, the names of the four colleges here are all derived from North American magical creatures and were personally selected by the founders of the school.

Thunderbird Academy was founded by Chadwick Booth.

The Thunderbird is a magical creature that can control storms and symbolizes the spirit of adventure and the pursuit of freedom.

Chawick himself is a wizard who is eager to explore the world. He gives this college a brave and fearless spirit. Most of the students in the college like adventure and traveling, just like thunderbirds flying freely in the storm.

Compared to Hogwarts, this house is similar to Gryffindor and Hufflepuff.

The Leopard Academy was founded by Chadwick's younger brother Webber.

The cat is a magical creature with great strength and speed, symbolizing a strong will. This college advocates warriors and focuses on the strength and determination of students. This college is similar to Gryffindor and Slytherin.

The Horned Serpent Academy was founded by Aesop Thur.

The Horned Water Snake is a graceful and mysterious aquatic creature that symbolizes wisdom and insight.

Aesop hopes to cultivate wizards who value wisdom and learning through the education of the academy. The students of the academy are usually smart and academically enthusiastic, good at problem solving and deep thinking.

This college is somewhat similar to Ravenclaw and Slytherin at Hogwarts.

Pukki College was founded by James Stewart, a No-Maj, and symbolizes healing and care.

Pukki are magical creatures that are good at healing, and most of the students in the academy are compassionate, keen to help others and participate in healing work.

This house is similar to Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw at Hogwarts.

Unlike the Sorting Ceremony at Hogwarts, there is no Sorting Hat to decide which house students go to.

Instead, it is up to four magical statues to consider whether they are willing to accept the student into their academy.

When multiple statues express their willingness to recruit, the choice will return to the students themselves.

When Sebastian and his friends arrived at the branch hall, delegations from other colleges had already arrived.

Yo--

People from other schools arrived very quickly. It seemed that everyone was very interested in the Sorting Ceremony of Ilvermorny.

Sebastian glanced at the Beauxbatons and Durmstrang delegations, thinking secretly in his heart.

I wonder if these two schools will perform their talents again in the future.

Logically speaking, it shouldn't happen. After all, each school has only five students at most, and it's hard to get a complete lineup for talent shows.

Harry kept glancing at the delegations from various schools around him. It was the first time he saw students from different magic schools around the world.

He did not see anyone familiar in the Beauxbatons or Durmstrang contingents.

However, there was a dazzling witch in Beauxbatons team, she had silver-white hair that reached her waist.

She was so beautiful that she attracted the attention of many students just by standing there.

Harry really wanted to take out his magic camera and film it so he could take it back to Hogwarts and let his friends see it.

He bet that Ron had never seen such a beautiful girl.

However, thinking that this behavior was too rude, Harry could only stand in the line obediently and wait to participate in the sorting ceremony of Ilvermorny.

Soon, the sorting ceremony was over.

Cedric was chosen by the Pukki statue, Percy was favored by the Cat-Leopard statue, and Penelope and Theodore were accepted by the Horned Serpent Academy.

Harry was recruited by both Thunderbird Academy and Panther Academy.

He thought for a moment and then joined the long table of Thunderbird Academy.

As the sumptuous dinner began, the students, who were originally a little nervous, all relaxed and began to chat with students from other schools.

Through communicating with students from other schools, Harry was surprised to find that each magic school has its own characteristics.

When recruiting students, Uagadu would send out dream messengers, and then inform the children of their admission in their dreams while they were sleeping.

When the children wake up, they will find a special stone with an inscription in their hands.

Students of the School of Magic are admitted at the age of seven. Between the ages of seven and eleven, these children will travel between home and school by riding giant petrels, and will not officially start living on campus until they are eleven years old.

Castlebrook has a temple-like castle that was founded very close to Hogwarts, and the two schools shared the magic of the hidden school thousands of years ago.

So to this day, there has been controversy in the wizarding world as to which school first came up with this method.

After the dinner, as soon as they returned to the dormitory, Sebastian called everyone to his dormitory.

Looking at these smiling students, Sebastian spoke softly.

"The first round of the competition will begin at nine o'clock on Monday morning."

"Everyone, cheer up and pay attention to tomorrow's test questions."
