Hogwarts: I am the White Lord
Chapter 520: Do you dislike my acting skills?
The battle gradually subsided, and Voldemort fled with Barty Jr. and the other two. As for the remaining Death Eaters, they all stayed in Hogwarts.
The new town of Hogsmeade was safe and sound, and Hogwarts was generally safe as well.
However, no one thought this was a great victory because they had found Dumbledore's body lying under the Astronomy Tower.
Following the students' crying, Harry and Ron rushed to the Astronomy Tower and saw a black object lying on the grass from afar. Professor McGonagall was standing next to the shadow, her figure was shaky, and many students were crying around her.
"What's going on? Who is lying there? Did someone die..." Ron stopped talking. His face was pale, and he was obviously frightened by his own thoughts.
Harry and Ron walked side by side, through the sobbing crowd to the front.
The moment he saw the dark shadow on the ground clearly, Harry suddenly felt as if a huge rock was pressing on his chest, making it difficult for him to breathe.
Dumbledore lay quietly on the ground, his eyes closed, his limbs spread out weakly, as if he had just sunk into a deep dream. His long silver hair and beard were slightly messy, and he looked particularly quiet and solemn against the night.
Harry couldn't help but walk forward, squatted down, carefully straightened his half-moon glasses that had slipped off, and gently wiped the blood from the corner of Dumbledore's mouth with his sleeve.
He stared down at the weather-beaten face that was always wise and kind, and a piercing pain surged in his chest.
This existence that countless people once looked up to and relied on, this seemingly omnipotent wizard, now lies quietly on the ground, without a trace of life.
A gust of night wind blew, ruffling Harry's black hair. He clenched his teeth, trying hard not to let tears fall, but the scene in front of him became more and more blurred.
"Harry, don't cry." A pair of steady and strong hands gently rested on Harry's shoulders. It was Sebastian who had rushed over from the new town with the Aurors.
"It's just a dream. When you wake up, everything will be fine!"
Sebastian handed Harry to Mia with a heavy face, and then began to give instructions in an orderly manner.
He first arranged for the professors to count the students, and after checking that no one was injured, they took them back to their respective common rooms.
At the same time, he asked the Aurors to check on the condition of the six Death Eaters.
The Carlo siblings fell to their deaths, and McNeill was mauled by a deformed animal and died from excessive blood loss.
Rodolphus was hit by several strange spells, and his whole body became swollen and deformed. In addition, some small tentacles grew on his body.
Peter Pettigrew and Dolohov were in slightly better condition, only unconscious.
Sebastian asked the Aurors to take these Death Eaters away, and planned to give them the Dementor's Kiss after victory.
After doing all this, he waved his wand, making Dumbledore float behind him, and then went to the headmaster's office with Professor McGonagall.
Looking at the familiar furnishings in the headmaster's office and Dumbledore lying on the floor of the headmaster's office, Professor McGonagall was overwhelmed with grief again.
"Sebastian, I don't understand how those Death Eaters could possibly be a match for Albus..."
Before she could finish her words, her eyes widened as she watched Dumbledore get up from the ground.
"Hey, Minerva, don't be sad. I just used magic to put myself into a state of suspended animation," Dumbledore winked playfully. "How is your acting? Is it okay?"
Professor McGonagall was in a daze for a moment before she realized that she had been tricked. She raised her brows and looked at Dumbledore angrily.
"Albus Dumbledore!!! What the hell are you doing? And you, Sebastian, are you in cahoots with this old man?"
Seeing Professor McGonagall was angry, Sebastian immediately put on a smile and carefully explained the whole story.
"Does it mean that I can't deceive other people because I don't have acting skills?"
Professor McGonagall became even angrier and started scolding Dumbledore and Sebastian.
Professor McGonagall was so angry that she was terrifying. Even Dumbledore didn't dare to offend her.
The two knew they were in the wrong, so they didn't dare to say a word in rebuttal. They just lowered their heads and let Professor McGonagall vent her anger.
It was not until Professor McGonagall's mood stabilized a little that she said unhappily, "What are the arrangements next?"
"Professor McGonagall," Sebastian stepped forward and comforted her, "We didn't intend to hide it from you, but now we are telling you on our own initiative."
To be honest, Sebastian really had no intention of hiding it from Professor McGonagall, but their plan was too radical.
After all, there were still some risks in bringing Death Eaters into the school. In order to prevent Professor McGonagall from opposing the plan, they had to act first and ask for permission later.
"To be honest, I've been annoyed with this old man for a long time," Sebastian pointed at the smiling old Dumbledore and said to Professor McGonagall, "Now is the perfect time to get rid of him and let you be the headmaster of Hogwarts."
"Besides, Professor, think about it. In such a big school, you are the only one who knows that Dumbledore is still alive. When the mysterious man dies and Dumbledore returns, I don't know how many jaws will drop in shock. By then, you can watch others laugh at you."
Sebastian used all his skills to make Professor McGonagall's weather change from cloudy to overcast, and then from overcast to sunny.
Seeing that Professor McGonagall's mood had improved, Dumbledore first told the many portraits that today's events must be kept confidential, and then looked at Professor McGonagall with a smile.
"Yes, Minerva, you will be the headmaster next. I am going to take a break and take some time off. As for Tom, you don't have to worry about him. Sebastian will arrange everything."
"Hmph!" Professor McGonagall snorted and gave Dumbledore a cold look.
She knew how tired Dumbledore had been, so she didn't object to letting Dumbledore take a rest. She was just angry that Dumbledore had kept it from her.
"Sebastian," Professor McGonagall turned her head and looked at Sebastian, her tone softening, "At this critical time, why don't you be the headmaster? After all, everyone saw you fighting with the You-Know-Who today. Everyone will feel more at ease if you are the headmaster."
"No, no, no," Sebastian waved his hands, "There is no one more suitable than you to be the principal."
"Besides, I will be very busy next time and I am afraid I will not have time to deal with school affairs. It is better for you to be the headmaster, Professor McGonagall."
After much persuasion, Professor McGonagall finally agreed to let her be the headmaster herself. She looked at Dumbledore and asked softly.
"Albus, what are your plans next?"
"Planning..." Dumbledore stroked his beard with a smile, "I can't tell about the long-term, but in the near future, I'll give myself a grand funeral first..."
