Turnaround Life: The Rebirth Elegy of the Wealthy Wife

Chapter 1 Even if you die, you must come home with me

"Let her go!" Jiang Kaichen's voice broke the silence of the morgue like a swift hail. His charred eyes were full of dangerous warnings, as if anyone who stood in front of him would be torn apart. The breath of resistance filled the air, and the huge pressure made it difficult to breathe.

The frost-frozen hands and feet of the corpse no longer had any color. As the soul watched this scene, Tang Wenwan seemed to feel again the feeling of soul tearing and destruction that she had been accustomed to in her lifetime. It turned out that this was the feeling of transparency from the inside out.

She had her usual bitter smile on her face, but this time she couldn't tell whether she was laughing at him or herself.

"Stop playing tricks, Jiang Kaichen." Tang Wenwan, who was pulled out of the body, seemed to taste the despair of the end. Her cold and gray body was tightly protected in his arms, like a treasure.

She looked at the tenderness and anger mixed on Jiang Kaichen's face, which was very distracting.

"Jiang Kaichen, that's enough! The person has already passed away, what are you acting like!"

Zhang Xincheng's voice sadly pierced the silence of the morgue. Anger was like that of a wounded beast, spreading wantonly in his bloodshot eyes.

He stood in front of the morgue, his body tense, his hands pressing down on Tang Wenwan's cold feet, as if he was using all his strength to try to snatch the body from Jiang Kaichen.

He bit his lower lip tightly, his pupils flashing with endless determination and resentment. The identification tag on Tang Wenwan's ankle swayed as they pulled at her, just like how she was helpless and confused when she was torn apart by the emotions of the two men when she was alive.

Tang Wenwan, or rather Tang Wenwan's soul, who was looking at them, couldn't help but stretch out her hands excitedly, wanting to strangle Zhang Xincheng's neck.

Looking at his face that was so familiar that it couldn't be more familiar, she felt that life was so ridiculous. It turned out that even death was still to be continued. Those mysteries that she had no time to see through still seemed so terrifying.

She looked with empty eyes at the man who was pressing her feet, the man who had spent his entire life pretending to love her but could not get her. Who would have thought that he was the dark hand that pushed her to death in the end.

In a trance, Tang Wenwan's eyes were full of helplessness and irony, "Zhang Xincheng, what are you doing here?"

Zhang Xincheng's smile was like the frozen river, suffocating and cold. He raised the corners of his mouth, but with a hint of resentment.

"Jiang Kaichen, you actually already knew the outcome. What you have is a cage that will suffocate her to the point where she would rather die than escape." His words were like snowflakes cut by the cold wind, floating in the silent morgue and breaking the already depressing atmosphere.

Jiang Kaichen frowned, not even looking at the man in front of him. He took a step forward and held the entire body tightly in his arms. His arms tightened more and more, filled with his own arrogance and unwillingness.

Zhang Xincheng obviously didn't expect that he could do this. He stood there with a pale face, his mouth opening and closing, and the lines he had prepared were swallowed back into his stomach like a fly.

The pale Tang Wenwan was held in the man's arms, her head resting steadily on his hard chest. The whole world seemed to freeze at that moment, and all sounds were silent.

Seeing this scene, Zhang Xincheng's face was filled with astonishment, and he stood there motionless like a wooden sculpture. The hands that were pressing on Tang Wenwan's ankles froze there as if he was frightened, showing his last bit of stubbornness.

Tang Wenwan, who was floating in the air, felt very uncomfortable with this funny scene. She frowned and her smile became even more frosty, cold and hideous.

Jiang Kaichen, holding the corpse, lowered his eyes to look at the hands that were unwilling to let go, stiffly put down the depressed Tang Wenwan, took a deep breath, turned around suddenly, and punched Zhang Xincheng in the face.

With a "bang" sound, the force as strong as a hammer broke the silence of the morgue.

The second punch, the third punch... Each punch revealed his determination and the hatred in his eyes.

Until Zhang Xincheng collapsed to the ground and twitched like a sack with holes in it, and every breath he exhaled seemed to be extremely difficult.

Wang Feng, the assistant who had been guarding the "boss", used all his strength to risk his life to hug Jiang Kaichen who couldn't stop, "If you keep fighting, someone will die!"

Tang Wenwan, who had become a ghost, stood in the corner, watching with great interest. The strange and indifferent emotions in her empty eyes were full of vitality, as if they had been injected with the breath of new life.

Tang Wenwan looked at him with relief and started laughing, then tears started to flow again.

"Haven't you never taken him seriously? Haven't you always ignored this person's existence? It turns out you are angry too!" She suddenly choked up and felt aggrieved.

Everyone fell silent, and they stood there frozen as if they had been struck by lightning.

Seeing Jiang Kaichen picking up Tang Wenwan's body and walking out the door like a madman, no one dared to stop him, no matter how unreasonable it was.

Jiang Kaichen, holding the corpse tightly to his chest, resumed his attitude of keeping strangers away, and his resolute attitude seemed as if he was going to take Tang Wenwan back to whip her corpse.

Tang Wenwan felt herself being tightly embraced by a force, a force that was so familiar yet unfamiliar to her.

Tang Wenwan also got scared out of habit. She frowned and followed Jiang Kaichen's footsteps, thinking timidly, "Is this pervert really going to take me back and whip my corpse? Will he really not let me go even if he dies?"

Until the driver helped Jiang Kaichen open the door, the man with long legs holding the corpse sat steadily in the back seat. The car became quiet in an instant, and only the sound of rain could be heard outside, as if the world was crying out of fear.

Tang Wenwan suddenly heard a whimpering sound, which made the originally quiet carriage seem even more eerie.

The suppressed sound forced the driver and Wang Feng to quickly jump out of the car and stand upright beside the car, preferring to be soaked by the rain rather than come in again.

Tang Wenwan, who was floating in the air, also looked at this man as if she had seen a ghost. This ghost-seeing man actually looked as sad as a child? Was this really him? Or was he also resurrected?

The scene in front of Wanwan could not be described in ordinary words. That man, Jiang Kaichen, was actually crying.

He even cried until he lost his voice.

Jiang Kaichen hugged the corpse tightly in his arms with such force that even Wanwan, who was floating in the air, felt suffocated.

"Maybe, this is the sadness of a boy losing his favorite toy." She raised the corners of her mouth slightly and said self-deprecatingly.

However, when Wanwan saw the man who should have been as cold as a stone, with tears and snot, kissing that cold face again and again recklessly, she could not bear it anymore and closed her eyes.

"He must be a pervert..." Wanwan muttered silently, trying to comfort her shocked heart in this way.

In the car, the atmosphere of sorrow gradually became stronger, and even the sound of raindrops hitting the window seemed to become muffled. The driver and Wang Feng stood upright by the car, letting the rain splash, and dared not walk into the vortex of heartache again.

Time was like an invisible barrier, dividing the real world into two parts, one was the heartbroken man, and the other was Tang Wenwan floating in the air. The air was torn apart by this strong emotion, as if even breathing had become so difficult.

"Wanwan, let's go home." The man suddenly spoke, his voice so hoarse that it was distressing. "I will first deal with those who provoke you, and then I will go with you."

After hearing these words, Tang Wenwan felt like she was struck by lightning. She was unable to move even a step, and her already translucent body became even more indifferent.

"Come with me?" She looked at her inhuman appearance thoughtfully, and an inexplicable sense of frustration made her eyes a little red.

When she heard the man's words again, her dull eyes seemed to be lost in the cold light, and her voice was so low that it was almost inaudible, "Where are you going?"

The man hugged the cold body tightly, with a strange firmness in his throat. He repeated to himself again: "Let's go home together, Wanwan."

Tang Wenwan also looked at her own body, a trace of confusion and fear flashed in her eyes. Go home? This question that came out of nowhere made her confused.

She only knew that every word the man said was breaking her understanding of the world bit by bit.
