Harry Potter: Who cares about belated motherly love?

The "Arithmancy" classroom is located on the third floor, very close to the "Defense Against the Dark Arts" classroom.

This course is taught by Professor Septima Beckett. She looks to be in her thirties or early forties (her exact age is unclear), with bright red hair and light grey eyes, and is very bright and attractive. It is said that she is from Ravenclaw, and she can often be seen discussing academic issues with Professor Flitwick.

Today is the first day of the new semester and the course starts with an introduction to the topic "What is Arithmancy?"

Professor Beckett's explanation:

Numerology, also known as numerology, is a divination technique that is on par with Western astrology and Yixue. It includes a variety of classification methods, such as Pythagorean numerology and Kabbalah numerology. The most common divination method is "Numerology", which uses a specific calculation formula to predict the fortune, talent and destiny of the person being divined based on his or her date of birth or name.

During the course, we tried to use Kabbalah number techniques to calculate our own "destiny number".

For example, my birthday is March 1980, 3. Add these numbers one by one: 1 + 1 + 9 + 8 + 0 + 3 = 1. Normally, if the number you get is a two-digit number, you need to continue adding until you only have one digit left. However, repeating numbers like 22, 11, and 22 are called "master numbers" and have special meanings, so they don't need to be simplified.

Therefore, my "destiny number" is 22.

Professor Beckett explained that people with a destiny number of 22 are considered to be "people who can find ways to achieve their ideals through themselves." They are good at using intuition and inspiration to maximize their potential. At the same time, 22 also symbolizes strong luck and the ability to turn crises into opportunities.

Professor Beckett's explanations were clear and logical, making complex concepts easy to understand. As an excellent representative of Ravenclaw, this professor not only made us interested in arithmetic divination, but also made me feel a sense of relief and joy when I heard the words "strong luck" and "turn crisis into opportunity".

Harry and Hermione seemed happier than I was, especially Harry - his destiny number was 11, also a "master number".

At the end of the course, Professor Beckett told us that the next step of learning would include fortune-telling friends or others to gradually master more complex interpretation skills, while exploring different ways of divination to find the method that suits us best.

Hermione was indeed enthusiastic about the course, her eyes sparkled, and she was obviously eager to learn. Although Harry was initially apprehensive about the course, he also showed interest in the course after the professor's clear explanation, nodding his head as he flipped through the textbook.

I'm glad that this is my first class. If I had chosen Divination, I would probably have been so frightened by Professor Trelawney's "ominous prophecy" that I couldn't calm down. But now, I obviously need more positive experiences to recover.

The next lesson was Transfiguration.

The students who had taken the Divination course were obviously in a strange mood, and the reason soon became apparent: in the Transfiguration class, when Professor McGonagall demonstrated the transformation of Animagus (animal form) to us, none of the students who had just experienced the Divination course applauded.

It turns out that the first student to be "predicted to die" by Professor Trelawney this semester was Seamus Finnigan. However, Professor McGonagall was obviously not polite about this. She coldly said that Trelawney made similar predictions every year, which had become an "annual routine."

Her attitude quickly eased the atmosphere in the classroom, although Lavender obviously believed in Trelawney's prediction and her face was full of dissatisfaction.

Professor McGonagall seemed to want to help everyone get rid of the shadow of the "death prophecy" and she was more enthusiastic and devoted than usual in the following lessons.

Animagus: a goal worth exploring

When Professor McGonagall talked about "Animagus", my mind began to work.

If I can master the ability to transform into a beast, it will be of great benefit to me in the future.

Sirius once told me and Harry that after he became the heir of the Black family, he disclosed his "Animagus" identity to prevent this secret from becoming a scandal. His official statement was that "in order to avoid the pursuit of the Death Eaters, he learned this skill during the reign of the Dark Lord and was sent to Azkaban and failed to register." But in fact, he mastered this skill as early as when he was a student.

I am very confident in Transfiguration. As long as it is practical, I can be said to be the best among my peers. Perhaps it is because of my fantasy experience in my previous life that I perform particularly well in courses that require specific image conception. Although the final transformation into a beast depends on talent, I believe I can master this skill anyway.

Maybe I can't fully master it this semester, but the sooner I start practicing, the better. I plan to seek advice from Sirius and ask Professor McGonagall for guidance. Although she is usually very busy, she always likes proactive students, and I believe she will not refuse my request.

With a plan in mind, I quickly turned my attention back to the classroom and focused on recording every word of Professor McGonagall. Although the next step might be very busy, I am not opposed to a busy life - at least, it can make me forget those uneasy emotions temporarily.
