God's Gift

Chapter 79 Star Dream

The cold wind blew from all directions, the trees in the forest twisted and swayed, and no light could penetrate through the dense leaves.

Suddenly, a faint blue light appeared on the road ahead, and the space there was torn and twisted, separating from the surrounding forest.

A man dressed in black sat on a huge rock.

The wind gradually died down.

Yu Youyou stopped and looked at the "person" with her head tilted.

He was completely covered in a black robe, and there was a dark hole under the hood, as if it was covered by a black fog, and his face could not be seen clearly no matter what.

He sat quietly on the stone, looking at the bright moon hanging high above the forest.

Yu Youyou used both her hands and feet to climb up the boulder and sat next to the man in black, but she didn't say anything.

The distorted space was exceptionally quiet.

"Who are you?" After a long time, Yu Youyou spoke first, breaking the silence, tilting her head to look at the man in black.

"I..." The man looked at Yu Youyou and made a disembodied voice, as if it came from another dimension, not like a human, "I also forgot who I am."

“Ah…” Yu Youyou looked at the man in black with some sympathy.

So pitiful.

"So what are you doing here?"

"Passing by..." The man in black was silent for a long time and then spoke again.

"Then you should leave quickly." Yu Youyou waved at the man in black, urging him to leave.

The wind blew from behind, lifting Yu Youyou's hair.

The man in black turned his face covered with black mist to Yu Youyou, as if he was looking at her. After a few seconds, the man in black laughed dully and vaguely, "I won't hurt them, don't worry."

Yu Youyou fell silent and stared at the man in black without saying a word.

The man in black sighed, stood up, and his body gradually became invisible and disappeared into the wind.

Yu Youyou looked at the figure disappearing beside her, then turned around, grabbed the boulder with her hands, stretched out a foot, and wanted to go down.

But she fell off the boulder.

Face on the ground.

When she woke up again, all her teeth were gone.

Yu Youyou crawled up from the ground. There was a big cut on her knee. She looked at the bloody teeth on the ground with a dull expression for a few seconds.

After a long while, she scratched her head, picked up the teeth on the ground, and put them neatly into her pocket.

There was a smell of blood in her mouth. Yu Youyou spat out a mouthful of blood and walked out of the forest.

-

On the other side, after Yu Youyou left.

There was a commotion at the entrance of the forest. Several white elves crowded down from the trees and came to the campfire.

Those plump white elves were like round balls, with two pointed feet on the ground and two short hands sticking out of the balls. They were rummaging around by the campfire.

After careful counting, there are exactly nine of these chubby little elves.

A little elf stepped over Lu Keming's face and saw the food that Yu Youyou had thrown aside.

The elf's eyes lit up and he jumped towards those things.

"what is this?"

The other elves heard its voice and rushed over one after another, circling around those things, repeating over and over again: "What is this? What is this?"

A slightly fatter elf crawled to the pile of eggshells, carefully identified them for a long time, and then said confidently: "I know, this is food for humans!"

"Human food!" The other elves heard it, cheered, and swarmed over to fight for those things.

“I want this!” A skinny elf grabbed the apple that Yu Youyou had bitten, and another taller elf dragged away the bone that Yu Youyou had gnawed, “Then I want this!”

Soon, the pile of things was sorted out.

Beside the warm campfire and under the bright moonlight, the elves danced happily around the spoils they had found.

Their little feet are very elastic. They fall to the ground and bounce back up again, and lustrous white light keeps falling from their bodies.

After the dance, they dragged their spoils into the forest with their small bodies.

Meanwhile, Lu Keming, whose face was stepped on by the elf, fell into a dream.

That was in the Lu family's castle, and light snow was falling outside the window.

The castle bedroom was well heated, with a fluffy blanket carefully covering the floor. Small animal dolls were scattered on the big bed, some of which had fallen under the bed.

He walked over, bent down to pick up the doll that had fallen on the ground, then neatly gathered up the dolls scattered on the bed and placed them all at the head of the bed.

A silver bell-like laughter came from behind him. He sorted the dolls with a slight curve at the corner of his mouth.

The room was lit with warm yellow lights, which was completely different from the snow-white world outside the window.

It was like a fairy tale dream, a small wooden cabin in the snow, a soft carpet on the wooden floor, the firewood in the fireplace making crackling sounds, and the khaki curtains separating the white outside the window from the warm yellow in the house.

The sound of brisk footsteps passed by, and the girl climbed up to the windowsill using her hands and feet, knelt on the table, and looked at the bright snowflakes outside the window with a pair of bright eyes.

Lu Keming put the doll in order, walked to the girl and hugged her from behind.

"Mingming, look, it's snowing!"

She must have just run back from outside, her white and tender hands were red from the cold, her soft hair was rubbing against his cheek, and she was staring at the snow outside the window.

He held her hand, passed his body temperature to her, felt the soft body in his arms, and responded absentmindedly.

"Let's go out and play in the snow!"

The girl lay in his arms, talking with a smile on her face.

But his mind was not on this at all.

The temperature in the room was getting higher and higher, and his body temperature also rose accordingly. He felt a little irritated for some reason. He looked at the girl's fair neck, his Adam's apple rolled, and he lowered his head to give her a kiss.

Perhaps the girl felt itchy and started giggling and moving around.

He picked her up from the windowsill and put her on the soft bed. The girl was still smiling in his arms. He looked at her smile and finally couldn't bear it anymore and held her in his arms.

The warm light fell on the velvet quilt, swaying slightly like the glow of stars in the night sky.

The air became moist, and the white snow seemed to have melted into a pool of warm water and melted into his heart.

Lu Keming suddenly opened his eyes, clenched his hands tightly, his chest heaving with his breathing, and a few drops of sweat dripped on his forehead.

He felt a palpitation in his chest, and Lu Keming's clenched palms felt empty.

Yu Youyou.

How could he dream about her?

The scenes in the dream were too real: the Lu family’s castle, his room, and the world outside the window that was dyed white by heavy snow every winter.

Just like a real world.

The feeling of panic in his chest made Lu Keming take a breath, and his clenched fingers turned white from being pinched.

After a few seconds, he slowly raised his eyes, and looked at the dancing flames in the campfire with his dark eyes, with unclear emotions in his eyes.

There was a rustling sound beside him, pulling Lu Keming's thoughts out of the dream. He suddenly turned his head and looked to the side.

A group of white balls turned their bodies together and looked at Lu Keming blankly.

They were dragging different things in their short hands.

For a moment, big eyes stared at small eyes.

After a few seconds, the white balls screamed and fled in chaos, dragging Yu Youyou's discarded food with them.

"Oh no! We've been discovered!"

"Run! Run!"

Lu Keming looked at the little creatures that were about to escape, and subconsciously used his mental power to catch them.

When the white elves were caught by mental power and brought back to Lu Keming's back, Lu Keming was stunned for a second.

Mental power is useful for these things.

They are not things created by fire.

What is this again?

"Let us go! Let us go!" The elves whose hands and feet were bound by mental power seemed to hate mental power and kept struggling.

Lu Keming frowned and turned his head, only to find that Yu Youyou was gone.

His face changed immediately and he stood up from the ground.
