After a simple rebirth

As time passes, only learning persists.

While studying, Fu Ying welcomed the first snow in her hometown. The snow was not heavy, but the air was very cold. When she went out in the morning, she suddenly saw that the road was slightly frozen, like a thin layer of glass covering it. Looking at the mountains in the distance, there was a continuous expanse of white.

Li Xingying's speech was accompanied by white mist, which was the characteristic of speaking in winter when the temperature was below zero. She walked while saying how cold it was.

Fu Ying felt okay with the cold, she wore fleece pants and enough clothes. But she needed a scarf because her neck felt cold when she walked with her short hair, and because she breathed in the cold air, her sinusitis came back.

Fu Ying has sinusitis, which is not a serious disease and does not affect her life too much. At most, her nose will be blocked after crying a few times. In winter, her nose will hurt if she inhales cold air directly. If she has a cold, her nose will be blocked and her nasal congestion will be heavy.

Other than that, nothing serious. Fu Ying went to the hospital for a checkup, and the doctor said it was sinusitis, nothing serious, and prescribed some medicine.

Fu Ying also gradually adapted to this little problem. She cried less, got over the cold, and when encountering cold air, she just wore a mask or scarf to block out the cold.

Wearing a mask is a bit special, mainly because people are not used to seeing people wearing masks on the street, unless you are deliberately trying to be non-mainstream and attract attention. So Fu Ying should just cover herself with a scarf.

In the evening, Fu Ying successfully found a towel suitable for her from Fu Ma's pile of clothes. It was off-white with no pattern. She knew that off-white would make her skin look darker, but it was better than using the large patterned towel from Northeast China.

The classroom door was finally closed. Although it was still cold with people coming in and out during breaks, it was good enough. I could just get some fresh air during breaks.

At night, Fu Ying's face tends to get red and hot. She used to think it was because of the lack of indoor air circulation and lack of oxygen, but later found that it only happens in winter and not in summer, mainly because of the large temperature difference in the environment. Wearing a scarf on the road can't avoid the cold air. After returning to the classroom and closing the doors and windows, the body temperature of a group of people drives up the temperature in the air, and Fu Ying's ears and face start to get hot.

In the evening, when doing homework and on weekends, Fu's mother asked Fu Ying to stay by the fire to keep warm, but Fu Ying refused.

It is just as cold in the classroom during the day, so you have to adapt to this environment. If you stay by the stove at home, you are too dependent on the temperature.

Besides, even in winter, there are still relatives who come to visit. If a relative comes to ask you a few questions about your studies, it will bother you, but you can't just ignore them. Fu Ying simply stayed in her room. When her feet became stiff from the cold, she would stamp her feet and stand up to move around.

This is the first winter Fu Ying has experienced in her hometown since she was old enough to understand things, and she has adapted quite well to it.

As I managed to secure the first place in the second monthly exam, my left-handed badminton became more and more proficient, the sky got darker and earlier, and the year 2011 was drawing to a close.

There are no stores playing Christmas songs on the streets yet, mainly because people in rural areas don't do this much. But a few classmates also gave their friends apples and other Christmas gifts in a proper manner.

The class monitor asked if we should organize Christmas activities, but many students were not interested, and Fu Ying didn't want to do it either. Although she is good at English and knows a lot about English culture, she is not a foreigner.

If you are abroad, it is a wonderful thing to follow local customs and enjoy Christmas. But in China, it is unnecessary to organize some activities.

You can decorate for New Year’s Day. After all, it is a new year and a little decoration would be nice.

But this is the responsibility of the class monitor, and it is her own small group that is doing it.

Fu Ying and Wang Qiuping were busy studying, guiding the class leaders of other classes to collect mind maps, and reviewing the manuscripts with them.

Maybe because she had more contact with people and her grades had improved, Wang Qiuping became visibly more outgoing, and Fu Ying also knew more about her.

She is the second child in the family. She has an older sister who goes out to work with her parents, and two younger brothers. They live with their grandparents.

Fu Ying guessed that the problem of favoring boys over girls in her family must be more serious, otherwise she wouldn't be so introverted. But it's a good thing that she is more frank now.

Fu Ying also got to know several class leaders through this competition. She assisted Teacher Liu. Those people who couldn't find the teacher directly came to her. Some sent class leaders to take charge, and some sent deputy class leaders. Anyway, there were an average of two people in each class to do this.

Although Class 1 of Grade 1 is a key class, there are still students in other classes who are willing to learn, so there are also several outstanding students in other classes.

Finally, five drafts were shortlisted, and the most important pages were photocopied and stapled together. Fu Ying directly spent an evening self-study period to go to each class and let them circulate and vote on the spot, aiming to make a quick decision.

For the review materials at the end of this semester, Fu Ying took up four subjects, namely history, geography, English, and Chinese. The rest were taken up by other students. Yuan Jun still took up two subjects, Wang Xueting took up one subject, and Zhou Qingtong took up one subject. The highest number of votes for politics was from a male student in Class 3.

Students in other classes are under time pressure and have heavy tasks to complete, as they need to organize materials for an entire semester. However, it is not so bad for Class 1, Grade 1, as they have already organized everything before the mid-term and just need to make appropriate adjustments.

The final photocopied materials were a bit thicker, still 90 books, so Fu Ying directly notified each class to send four people to move them away at once.

Fu Ying also found some very interesting mind maps and gave them to Teacher Liu, asking him to copy them and post them on the bulletin board. Take a look at them whenever you pass by, whether you understand the knowledge points or learn how to make mind maps, they are better than the rigid promotional materials of the school.

Teachers from other classes did not show any obvious willingness to let students review according to mind maps, but Director Tan and Teacher Liu still strongly supported it. The prizes were also upgraded to a thermos cup for each student.

Fu Ying didn't take one of each, out of spite, so she only took three thermos cups, one for Fu Ma, Fu Ying, and Fu Zhe, just right.

Let’s not consider Li Xingying and Wang Yu. They don’t have that much and it’s impossible for them to share every time.

Li Xingying's notes made it to the preliminary round, but she didn't get first place. She seemed to be hit hard, but she also made up her mind to take better notes next time.

Fu Ying advised her to wait until next semester and just memorize the books and notes this semester and pass the final exam first.

After New Year's Day, they will be entering the final week, and they have started to borrow review materials from everywhere. Fu Ying herself has the original manuscripts of several subjects, which means that the five of them have two sets, so Fu Ying's review will not be affected.

I heard that some students whose families supported them went to Xinhua Bookstore to make a copy of the book. Fu Ying called them wealthy families. Printing and copying are not that cheap nowadays. To be honest, this set of 9 books cost more than yuan, which is equivalent to buying new test papers.

Fu Ying added other people's highlights to her own notes, and the combination made them more perfect and easier to review.
