After a simple rebirth

Chapter 3 Going Home

After eating the ice cream, my sister prepared to cook. My brother-in-law and Fu Ma worked in the same factory, but not in the same workshop. My brother-in-law has been working in this factory ever since then and has never changed.

Fu Ying felt less dizzy and went over to help hold her little nephew while watching her sister cooking with the kitchen door open.

It's strange that Fu Ying and her brother have always liked the dishes cooked by their sister. Even if they are cooked in the same way, the one who cooks the best in the family is her sister. It's no exaggeration to say that even a simple fried egg from her sister is the most delicious.

But Fu's mother kept telling her and her brother that her sister was married and had her own family, so they couldn't always go to her house for dinner. At that time, Fu Ying didn't understand. She was our sister, why couldn't we eat together? Why was there a separate home for her sister and her own?

My sister was very skillful. She simply fried some potato slices, some carrots and meat, and some lettuce. She brought the dishes to the table under the tree and said to Fu Ying, "Eat here later. Don't go back."

It looks simple, but the smell of the super fragrant food makes Fu Ying's mouth water. She can even reproduce this fragrance in her dreams. This dream is really amazing!

I was wavering between going home and staying, and before I could say anything, a burst of curses reached my ears.

A mother in a blue workwear riding an old-fashioned bicycle passed by, cursing:

"Fu Ying, why are you at your sister's house? I have to work overtime on Saturdays. I only have half an hour. Have you cooked the meal? I won't have time to eat later!"

As expected, when she was young, Fu's mother had a first-rate "scolding ability". Fu Ying quickly replied,

"Dad is cooking. I'll help my sister hold Wang Ruixuan down."

"Mom, Fu Ying is eating at my place and she won't be going back for dinner today," my sister came out immediately after hearing the voice and shouted to Fu's mom.

"No, how can you let her eat at your house every day? If you let her go home to eat, she still has to wash the dishes." Fu's mother glared at Fu Ying. Her eldest daughter's family was not rich. She was a full-time housewife taking care of three children and relied solely on her son-in-law's salary. Her son-in-law was not generous or lenient. If she had a meal at his house, he would give her a cold look.

Fu Ying, who was glared at, had no choice but to give her little nephew to her sister, and then followed Fu's mother home happily.

"Sister, I'm home"

The eldest sister of the Fu family is named Fu Yu. She had just given birth to her third child two months ago. She knew that Fu's mother did not want to add to her burden, nor did she want her husband to come back and nag her. She could only watch her younger sister go home.

Two minutes later, Fu Yu's husband came back, and the two children gathered around him and called out, and the family started to eat.

After returning home with my mother, all the houses we lived in were rented, moving from one place to another, as long as the rent was cheap. Fu Ying knew which "home" this was at that time, but she didn't know how to describe it, but it was a "home" that left a deep impression on her. There were two identical buildings, and the landlord was an elderly widower who lived next door. The two families shared a tap, and the landlord said that he would not charge for water, but would charge per person. My mother argued that she and my brother were younger, so we were counted as one person.

As expected, when I turned the corner, I saw a stove at the door. It used a gas cylinder. I could save 3 yuan by refilling gas at the gas station. Dad was heating food there. Yes, heating food was not cooking. There was no healthy habit of not eating leftover food at home. The reality was that as long as there was food to eat, it didn't matter if it was leftover or the next meal.

There was already a plate of bacon on the table. It looked like it was fried yesterday or the day before yesterday. The meat slices were almost hardened by repeated heating. There was a big bowl of sauerkraut soup. The sauerkraut and soybeans were first cooked in a rice cooker. Every time you eat, you scoop out a little and heat it up. It's a dish. There was also bean sprouts that Fu's father was serving. It didn't look like it was enough for a plate. It should be for lunch.

"Where's Fu Zhe?" Fu's mother asked Fu Ying while picking up the bowl.

Fu Ying was stunned. How could there be any previous story in a dream? How would she know where her brother had gone?

"I don't know." Fu Ying took the bowl and started to serve herself rice. She was still thinking in her heart that her brother was very naughty during this period and seemed to have a lot of friends. The friends who later fought with him and caused him to drop out of school were probably also friends from this period.
