Water and Fire Twins Magician

Chapter 252: Rough Lines

Surrounding Jacques and Faye were several people with bloated bodies, wet and slippery clothes, drooling, dull eyes, and almost no sense of life.

They were all wearing military uniforms of the Principality of Dro, and there were no water element crystals on their chests, so they were probably not Trojan reinforcements.

Jacques turned around and observed the people surrounding them. He felt that they were all in a chaotic state between consciousness and unconsciousness. He chose a person whose eyes still looked a little bright and asked, "Do you want to fight, or do you need help?"

The swollen man seemed to respond to Jacques' question, but when he opened his mouth, he spat out a mouthful of black and green sewage.

"Ugh! It stinks!" Jacques couldn't help pinching his nose and holding his breath: "It's so pungent! I absolutely can't touch it!"

The man began to take stumbling steps towards Jacques.

"Stop, stop, stop!" Jacques shouted, "If you need help or treatment, just stand still! Otherwise I will take action!"

That night, the Principality of Dro was in turmoil.

A fierce civil war was going on throughout the Principality, with people wearing the same military uniforms killing each other. This puzzled Pruns, who had just returned from the northern front.

"Aren't we hunting down blasphemers? How could this happen..."

"Master." Mei, the little secretary behind Pullens, stepped forward and said, "The two parties in the conflict seem to be the reinforcements sent by Troy and Prime Minister Quinton's personal guards."

"Quinton? What's wrong with that idiot?" Prance thought about it for a moment, but after all, this was not his strong point, so he didn't think about it any more, and just fell to the ground, knocking away several fighters who were fighting in hand-to-hand combat.

Then he picked up a fallen warrior, glanced at the water element crystal on his chest, and shouted, "Why don't you Trojan reinforcements go to capture the blasphemer, but instead fight our Dro Principality's army?"

"It was you, the lackeys of the Principality of Dro, who attacked us first!" The man saw that Pruns was not wearing the military uniform of the Principality of Dro and could ride the wind, which meant that his status in the Principality of Dro must be not low. The tone of his questioning was not obviously biased, so he complained with confidence.

"Huh?" Upon hearing this, Pullens' face darkened and he twisted his wrist. The soldier's cervical vertebrae were immediately broken and he died before he could even make a sound.

Pullens threw him out, grabbed another warrior and asked, "What about you? Do you also think that the Principality of Dro is a running dog of the Trojan Federation?"

"No! The Principality of Dro is the most loyal ally of the Trojan Federation! There must be some misunderstanding! I'm afraid there are really a lot of bad apples in your country!"

"Yes, that's quite objective." Pullens nodded: "Who is the highest-ranking one among you? Where is he? Take me to see him!"

"Yes...it should be over there..."

This rather sturdy Trojan warrior was held in Prunus's hands as if he were holding a well-behaved puppy.

When Prime Minister Quinton's personal soldiers saw Purunc suddenly appear and attack the Trojan reinforcements without mercy, their morale was boosted and they clenched their weapons, ready to kill.

"Master Puruns is here!"

"Great! With the support of the Lord Priest, those useless Troy guys are doomed!"

"Shut up! Stop it, everyone!" Pruns suddenly shouted towards the sky, his voice spreading throughout the entire battlefield. Everyone was startled and stopped what they were doing. The originally noisy battlefield suddenly became deathly silent.

Not far away, a soldier from the Principality of Dro was pinning down a magician from the Trojan reinforcements. The soldier was so bloodthirsty that he had no intention of stopping and was about to take the magician's life.

"I told you to stop!" Pullens roared and swung his strong arms violently. The two men were immediately shattered into pieces by the shock wave.

"Until I figure out why you're fighting, no one is allowed to move!" Pruns roared again, causing pain in the eardrums of everyone on the battlefield. Some of the lower-ranking ones were directly shaken to the point of dizziness, and even vomiting and incontinence.

Regardless of which faction they belonged to, everyone present stopped and stood still, staring at Prunes as he walked into a temporary tent built by the Trojan reinforcements.

Inside he immediately seized a Trojan magician dressed in officer's uniform.

"Are you the leader?" Pruns asked fiercely.

The guy was so scared that his legs went limp, like a thief caught doing something bad. He didn't act like a leader at all: "I... I'm just the fourth in command. Viscount Levitt, he... he just happened to be..."

"Okay, do you know why you and the army of the Principality of Dro fought?"

The magician nodded.

"Then tell me! Do you want me to ask?" Pruns said angrily.

If he didn't exude powerful magic, he would be seen as a simple-minded thug. So the secretary beside him was very important.

But in some matters, Mei knew very well that she should not intervene. Pruns's simple way of dealing with things was indeed quite useful at times, and this was also his charm.

"Oh... the two people making trouble outside are not actually the blasphemers you are looking for? So you thought they were sent by Quinton to make trouble... huh? Or did Quinton's people take action first? It is said that it was the order of Grand Duke Dro himself to break completely with the Trojan Federation?" Pullens felt a headache after hearing this and quickly turned his head to look at his secretary.

"rose."

"Ahem." Mei cleared her throat. "Did you get confirmation from Grand Duke Dro himself? Did you report this news to the Goddess Temple?"

The magician shook his head and said, "We planned to go directly to the Grand Duke's Palace to find out the truth, but we were blocked by a large number of soldiers from the Principality of Dro..."

"Lord Purunc..."

"No need to explain, I understand. Don't treat me as an idiot." Pruns waved his hand: "Let's go find that kid Quinton now. You, come out with me, I'll give you a talisman!"

After saying this, he put his arm around the magician's shoulder, half pushed and half pulled him out of the tent, and then shouted to everyone on the battlefield:

"Quinton's minions, listen up! This guy is my friend of Purunc. From now on, you two gangs are not allowed to kill each other. The alliance has not been broken! Also, don't tell Quinton about the news! Choose your side and stand in the right team. Remember at all times that Grand Duke Dro is your real master and he will guarantee your safety! Mei, let's go!"
