HP: Hogwarts, but pro-generation

Chapter 11 An Unforgettable Lunch

When Regulus finally woke up, he remembered the "disaster" that happened before he went to bed.

"Oh no."

He raised his hands to cover his eyes and sighed deeply. What made him feel embarrassed was not only whether he had brought a bad influence on the image of the Black Family outside, but also the "punishment" of doing housework that he had agreed to yesterday.

It's not that he regretted it after waking up from his sleep, but he had never done such a thing! Kreacher was the one who helped before, and house elves are basically present in every wizard family. However, I did not see them in the Hopps family.

He didn't pay too much attention to these trivial matters. It was more important to go downstairs and see if there was anything he could do to help. He and Sirius had already caused trouble at the Hopps' house, and he couldn't make things worse. Moreover, selfishly, he didn't want the Hopps couple to hate him.

Just as Regulus was about to open the door and go downstairs, his door was forced open by an unknown force.

Leading the way was Ander, holding a spatula in his hand.

Following behind was James, holding a frying pan.

"Hey, Regulus, you're the only one missing."

"Where's...Sirius?"

"Oh, Sirius is already busy in the kitchen. We are going to make spaghetti bolognese."

"This is what we discussed yesterday." But seeing that your expression didn't look good, I didn't say anything.

James did not say this, because he saw that Regulus' expression was exactly the same as yesterday, so it was better not to speak now.

Really...

What an energetic bunch.

Merlin, forgive me for not knowing how to describe these three boys. They don't seem to be afraid of getting into trouble at all. They always act before thinking...

If the division of the houses is completed in another month, Regulus will probably understand what this is called - they are a group of Gryffindors after all.

He considered and asked, "Can you do it?"

What we got was not the two people firmly saying they could do it, but their solemn words, "Don't worry, I've seen how it's done, and I can do it."

For a moment, Regulus almost forgot to maintain his usual personality. Before he was about to say a few swear words, reason pulled him back.

I hope Sirius won't blow up someone else's kitchen. I hurried to the kitchen downstairs, "Sirius--"

"What's wrong?" Sirius turned his head with some confusion and looked at his brother who was shouting at him.

"Nothing." Good thing Sirius didn't blow up the kitchen. "Let me help you. Do you want to wash all this?"

"Since when does the young master of the Black family do these things?"

"You are from Black family too."

Sirius did not refute what Regulus said, he was indeed a Black.

"Well, Ender said we need tomatoes and broccoli, maybe you could help us cut them?"

Regulus picked up the ingredients Sirius had washed and began to process them silently.

"Merlin, I didn't expect you to be so talented." James made a surprised sound.

"It doesn't take much brains to cut things, and I only cut one, and it doesn't look good." Regulus felt that he was a little out of place here.

“Oh, does this still need to look good?”

"Don't worry about it, it's just a family problem. But if that's the case, I think I'm quite talented, and this tomato is pretty nice to wash."

"I think..." Everyone likes things that look good, especially food.

The words that Regulus had not yet spoken were drowned out by the chattering of the other three boys.

"The cutting is good, but it seems a bit of a waste to give it to three of them." Xia had no idea when she reached the kitchen.

Frightened, Regulus lowered his head and continued to work on it, saying thank you.

"Do you dare to eat what they cook?"

Seeing that Regulus didn't understand what she meant, Xia continued, "I mean, look over there."

The trio nearby were arguing about what seasoning to add, and they all sounded unreliable.

Regulus felt that he had been silent more in the past two days than in the past few years, of course, he was silent because he had nothing to say.

"I think..." He spoke with some difficulty. On the one hand, he felt that this was something they had worked so hard on and that the affection should not be wasted. On the other hand, he felt that his sin and this little affection were not enough to send him to St. Mungo's. However, he did not understand what Sylvia meant...

"So, do you want to sneak out with me?"

"What?" Regulus widened his eyes. Slip out, sneak out?

He had to admit that he was tempted. No matter what he ate, it was better than foreseeing his own death here. And he also wanted to try what it felt like to sneak out, which Sirius always liked.

"Sylvia, but where are we going? How do we get there? And Mr. Hopps and the others..." Regulus was still a little hesitant.

Got it, Slytherin's caution.

Oh, no, we can't have stereotypes. We can't think that caution is only for Slytherins just because the people around us are short of brains and have only courage. This is wrong, Xia.

"Huh?" Regulus didn't understand why Sylvia suddenly patted her face, as if to drive away some bad thoughts.

"Mom and Dad are out and won't be back until the evening. We can go to Diagon Alley through the fireplace first, and then go to..." Xia chattered about the general route.

"You mean the Muggle place?" Regulus didn't expect this. He thought they were going to Diagon Alley at most.

"Don't be so defensive, Regulus. We haven't even been there yet. Aren't you curious?"

But my mother said that they all smelled disgusting and dirty. But why did Sirius like to go out so much? Once he started to think about other things, it meant that he had begun to waver.

"Well, if there's any problem, we must come back quickly."

Xia patted her chest and said to Regulus with a smile: "No problem, just leave it to me."

She would never say that she deliberately didn't tell Regulus, but that her parents had tacitly agreed to it. From the fact that they left nothing behind in the morning except for some gold galleons, she could guess that her parents had no intention of letting them cook for themselves.

But it was so exciting to lead a good kid astray! I didn't dare to think about the expressions of the others after this incident, but I'd better take him away first.
