HP: Hogwarts, but pro-generation

Chapter 166: The "Furry" Problem

James stretched out his arm and hooked it around Remus' shoulders, causing Remus to stumble forward. Fortunately, James did not intend for Remus to hit his forehead on the ground. After stabilizing Remus' body, he exchanged glances with his two friends beside him.

"What? I lost!" James shouted in shock, but after meeting Remus' puzzled gaze, this slight shock turned into a mysterious smile.

The wolf-like sensitivity in Remus' body made his brows jump. At the same time, the wolf's intuition told him that James' next words would make him unforgettable. He almost immediately wanted to reach out and make a "stop" gesture, but James's Chaser's reaction ability made him faster than Remus.

"Hey, Remus, you are a werewolf, right?" This was originally supposed to be a question, but James said it with certainty and without any burden, and he still had that smiling look on his face.

Remus' body stiffened instantly. His eyes quickly swept across the faces of the remaining two friends - perhaps they would no longer be friends after today - and then Remus was horrified to find that Sirius and Ender also looked nonchalant. He quickly stood up and looked at the three people sitting on the ground with some uneasiness.

"How... did you... know?" Remus said this sentence with difficulty. It was the first time he realized that his voice could be so hoarse.

"That's not hard to guess," Ender stood up. "You disappear for a fixed day every month, and when you come back you are injured and exhausted."

Remus' breathing became heavier. He said, "I'm a werewolf."

"Oh, we knew that when you asked us how we knew that." Sirius stood up as well. He bumped Remus' arm in a friendly way and whistled. "That's really cool, bro."

"Cool?" Remus' eyes widened, his voice gradually sharpened: "I said I'm a werewolf! Not--"

"Remy," James changed his name and winked at Remus. "Nothing? We know it's just a little "hairy" problem."

Remus felt like a man who was about to drown but was luckily rescued. He was gasping for breath. He had so many things he wanted to say in his heart. He wanted to use words and facts to make the three people in front of him retreat. He was a - a werewolf!

Merlin! Remus was wailing in his heart, he finally had a friend of his own, he wanted their friendship to last until the day he took the "secret" to the grave, but Merlin played a huge joke on him, his short three-year friendship was about to be torn apart by his own hands, Remus closed his eyes reluctantly.

"Dude, what's with that expression on your face?" James exclaimed.

"You don't still think we care about your werewolf identity?!" Sirius said in shock.

Ender studied Remus's expression carefully, then confirmed Sirius's statement: "You're right, he hasn't accepted this fact yet. Oh, poor Remus."

Remus felt his body was already cold, as if he was already a dead body about to step into a coffin. He repeated again: "I am a werewolf."

James scratched his ears and said nonchalantly, "You've said it many times, we know."

Remus couldn't persuade the people in front of him. Maybe he didn't really want to persuade them. He was just testing whether the other party could really accept it. Even if they couldn't accept it... he thought he was mentally prepared. No one wanted to play with a dangerous, irritable and uncontrollable werewolf.

"I'm not kidding, I turn into a irrational and dangerous werewolf on a full moon!"

"We're not kidding anymore!" Ender said loudly, his voice drowning out Remus. "Hey, what are you hesitating about, Remus? Don't hesitate, we have a night tour tonight, don't forget our Marauder's Map."

Oh, the Marauder's Map...

Remus sighed in his heart again, would he still have a chance to use the Marauder's Map?

James and Sirius each held Remus, James even twisted Remus' head to force him to look at him, his hazelnut eyes full of seriousness. This seriousness burned Remus, he shrank and wanted to escape, but Sirius on the other side did not give him any room to retreat.

Finally, Remus reiterated: "I am a werewolf - don't interrupt me! I am dangerous, I will become irrational! I shouldn't have come to school. It was Professor Dumbledore who gave me the opportunity to study at Hogwarts and make friends. I mean I cherish our friendship, but please - I am a werewolf, think about the consequences! I am serious!"

"I am." Sirius made a little joke about his name.

Ender and James laughed, but Remus slumped down on the bed and murmured, "Really - please - I mean it."

James plopped down next to Remus, "Oh, Remus, you didn't think we would be stupid enough to walk up to you in your current form after you transformed?"

If Remus had been as alert as before, he would have noticed that there were some minor problems with what James said, but he was now so overwhelmed with frustration, pain, and shock that he even forgot to ask what "now looks like." Instead, Ender and Sirius smiled with some evil humor after hearing it.

"It's just a little 'hairy' problem." James continued to say to Remus who was still in a daze.

Ender found a comfortable position on Remus' bed and relaxed. He agreed, "That's right. Didn't I tell you that my grandparents had seen worse things than werewolves?"

Remus recovered a little, "More terrifying than werewolves?"

"Yeah." Ender crossed his legs on Remus' bed, put his hands behind his head and recalled the interesting stories he had heard in his memory, and then told Remus one by one. Finally, he concluded: "So, we don't care whether you are a werewolf or not, does that mean you are not Remus? Come on, our friend is Remus, even if he turns into a slug - well, forget it, it's a bit disgusting - even if he turns into a slug, we may lose you as a friend for a short time, will you turn into a slug?"

Remus forced a smile. "Oh, say something nice, Ender. You're still trying to comfort me."

James and Sirius burst into laughter. They punched Remus' shoulders, one on each side, and said at the same time, "Comforted Remus baby~"

Remus' mood had now calmed down a lot, but he still swore in his heart that if James, Andrews or Sirius showed even the slightest bit of annoyance, he would leave on his own initiative.

But now what he had to do was to fight back against the person who had just punched him twice, but one person could not fight two people, and when the fourth person joined in, their "friendly" interaction finally turned into a fight.

Remus thought to himself that maybe it wasn't so bad, he could still selfishly possess this friendship for a while longer.
