HP: Hogwarts, but pro-generation

Chapter 49 Confrontation

"Sirius!" Xia said with some joy when she saw the newcomer. She put down the quill in her hand and stood up. "Hey, why are you here?"

"I haven't seen you guys for a long time. What are you doing recently? Every time after class I want to talk to you, but you seem really busy. Ander always says "Come later, come later, something's going on" or something like that. What on earth are you doing? Can I know?"

Xia was so excited as she hadn't seen her good friend for a long time that she said a lot at once. She really couldn't control her emotions.

"Then which one do you want to know first?" Sirius smiled softly. He didn't expect Xia's reaction to be so big, but it did calm him down a little, and the atmosphere was suddenly not as tense as before.

Xia realized belatedly that she had asked too many questions and did not give Sirius any time to answer. She felt a little embarrassed and said, "Am I a little too excited? But it's because I can't find you every time."

“Have you finished your paper?”

"What?" Sirius changed the subject so quickly that Xia didn't react for a moment. "It's already been written."

"So are we going back? I mean, the library isn't a good place to chat."

Xia agreed with Sirius. Just as she was about to turn around and pack her things, she heard Sirius say, "Then-"

"What about you?"

Christian Greengrass, sitting in his seat, met Sirius Black's sullen gaze.

In the past few months, Sirius Black has been a hot topic at pure-blood family banquets. No matter how much he was loved and valued by the Black family in the past, all of this disappeared the moment he entered Gryffindor.

He recalled the party at Malfoy Manor during the Christmas holidays, where Mrs. Black made no secret of her disappointment with her eldest son and her preference for her second son.

You know, she had always praised Sirius Black before, and Regulus Black was always ranked behind his brother. But this time she said, "Fortunately, I still have a son, Regulus. He always makes me feel at ease."

How ironic.

He just looked straight at Sirius and smiled, "Okay."

He didn't expect that the other person would come close to him even though he didn't even try to hide the rejection in his eyes. Sirius was confused for a moment. Was it because he didn't express himself well enough?

Shia then remembered that she had not yet introduced the two people to each other, but thinking that they must have met at the Pureblood Banquet, Shia only mentioned it briefly.

"This is Christian Greengrass, you know," she said to Sirius, bumping his arm when he didn't respond.

Even if he didn't want to talk, it was not appropriate to pretend to be deaf and dumb at this time. Sirius had no choice but to symbolically say "Sirius Black".

Completely ignoring Christian's reaction, he saw Xia put away her things and then took Xia's arm and walked outside.

Just when he thought that Greengrass would return safely to their "dark and damp" Slytherin common room, he saw Greengrass following them.

Merlin

Is he acting too good-tempered?

"I didn't know the Slytherin common room was in this direction."

Sirius spoke coldly. For Xia's sake, he did not tell the other party to go wherever he wanted to go. It was not a good thing to not do that.

"Did I say we were going back to the lounge?" Christian fought back without showing any weakness. He expected that the eldest son of the Black family would be very angry, and it would definitely not be just a casual remark.

He didn't even speak in a vicious tone, he just said something sarcastic, not hurtful at all.

It was very different from what Christian had imagined. An imperceptible emotion flashed across his eyes, so fast that Sirius, who had been staring at him, didn't even notice it.

There is no doubt that the other party's provocative words completely angered Sirius. He felt that he had been forbearing for a long time and could no longer endure it. Just as he clenched his fists and was about to grab the other party's collar with a green tie and try to solve the problem with force, Xia spoke.

"Aren't you going back to the common room, Christian? Then we have to go back first. It was fun doing homework with you. We can continue discussing that problem tomorrow. It was so much fun!"

Christian stopped walking when he saw this. He said to Xia, "I'm going to find an empty classroom. The spell you mentioned is very interesting. I want to practice it."

This was not a lie, Christian really intended to do this. The reason he didn't say it directly was that he just wanted to see Sirius Black's face, which was so dark that it could squeeze out ink. What's wrong with that?

"Great! I hope you've succeeded when we meet tomorrow." Xia encouraged Christian. You know, it took her two days to completely learn the spell.

"Then we'll go first, see you tomorrow."

"See you tomorrow."

Christian responded to Sia, and the little witch waved to him and left with the people next to her.

The boy in front took the heavy textbook, leaned over and said a few words, probably asking something.

It could be how they met, it could be why they were meeting tomorrow, it could be the interesting question they discussed, or it could be the spell he was going to practice later, but it had nothing to do with him anymore.

He looked at the sunset outside the window; the sun was setting.
