Marvel crosses Star Wars, and everyone attacks the galaxy

Chapter 144: Former Jedi Knight Thor Skor

"Well, that's great, it's all here," Quicksilver muttered, "So who are you anyway?"

Anakin's eyes narrowed as he took in the man: that hair, the scar over his right eye.

"I...I know you. You are Thor Skorr. Didn't you die on Korriban?"

Quicksilver was a little confused: "What are you talking about?"

"It's nice to know that someone of your growing stature would recognize one of his brothers."

"Brother?" Quicksilver said in confusion, "This guy is your brother?!"

"That's not it." Anakin said to the former Jedi, "How did you survive?"

"Of course, it's because of Count Dooku."

"Dooku." Anakin's eyes narrowed, "You have fallen to the dark side."

Skor said calmly, "No, I was saved. Awakened to the true potential of the Force, not the dogmatic and stagnant dictatorship of the Jedi."

"Are you going to attack those who helped you?" Anakin growled.

"Did I? It was Count Dooku who helped me when I needed it most," Thor said firmly, "It was Count Dooku who showed me my true path in the Force, not the Jedi."

Skor raised his crimson sword.

"With Count Dooku's training, I will defeat you - Skywalker."

"Wow, that's impossible," Quicksilver scoffed.

Skoll stared at the Avenger and asked in a disinterested tone, "Who are you?"

"Someone who's about to take the kids back and beat the shit out of you."

"Isn't it usual to demand the return of the child before threatening or using violence?"

"No, you're holding a baby hostage. As Avengers, we don't lie, and we don't take too kindly to such behavior," Quicksilver said flatly.

The mere mention of the word Avengers changed Thor's demeanor, making him more defensive. His master had told him that these Avengers were mysterious and unstable elements, and now that one of them was standing before him, he wasn't going to take it lightly.

In an instant, before Skoll could react, the robot beside him was quickly destroyed, and the Nottolan baby was firmly held in Quicksilver's other arm.

Quicksilver grinned smugly at the former Jedi, when suddenly the entire room began to shake.

A warning of a gravity system failure sounded on a nearby screen. The floor creaked and then began to collapse.

Seeing this, Skorr swung his lightsaber downwards and leaped towards Quicksilver, but was intercepted by Anakin.

Anakin raised his lightsaber and prepared to fight, but Skor smiled sinisterly and held the baby in front of him unscrupulously, and the baby started crying. Anakin, who had nowhere to start, was knocked away by Skor to Quicksilver's side.

Suddenly, the floor beneath Skorr's feet collapsed, and he sheathed his lightsaber and quickly grabbed a wire that was luckily hanging from the ceiling.

Anakin saw his chance and pulled the baby out of Skorr's grasp, tossing the rest of the children safely into the hands of the Avengers. Quicksilver quickly grabbed the last child and tried to calm him down.

"Pietro! Get the kids out of here!"

"how about you?!"

"I'll hold Thor back when you get back to the Dusk!"

"But--"

"Let's go!" Anakin yelled, blocking yet another attack from the fallen Jedi.

As much as he wanted to help beat the Jedi traitor to a pulp, Quicksilver had to get the child to safety. Without further hesitation, Quicksilver ran through the corridor towards the Dusk.

Meanwhile, Thor had swung back from the cable he'd grasped onto, to safer ground, and re-ignited his lightsaber.

Skorr attempted to hunt down the Avengers, but Skywalker stood in his way of recovering his Master's experimental subjects.

"Get out of the way, Skywalker."

"Unless you walk over my dead body."

"That will satisfy you."

Skorr dove forward, his crimson blade colliding with Skywalker's azure lightsaber, the two men coming to a brief stalemate.

"You are a powerful Skywalker. You should come to the dark side." Skor bewitched. "Its power is infinite. Just think about how strict and outdated the Jedi have become."

"That's a nice word for a fool who willingly follows a Sith Lord bent on power," Skywalker shot back.

"Master Dooku seeks only the truth," Thor roared, his loyalty to the former Jedi Master evident.

As Skorr roared, Anakin hit him in the face with his head, and if the floor hadn't collapsed, he would have been slapped hard.

Arriving at the Dusk, Quicksilver saw R2 making a series of noises, sounding worried.

"Anakin told me and the kids to go first. Now, we need to activate the Dusk and be ready to take off at a moment's notice," the Avenger said.

Anakin leaped back into the hallway, followed by Skorr, and the two engaged in a fierce lightsaber duel, with Anakin mainly on the defensive. Skorr's attacks were wild, but also limited because they were in the hallway.

All around them, everything was falling apart, wires and debris strewn everywhere.

On the Dusk, the ship was ready, and Anakin anxiously muttered to himself: "Damn Anakin, how are you?"

Finally, the anxious Quicksilver rushed out of the Dusk and returned to the laboratory.

Anakin and Skorr were still fighting, both trying to gain the upper hand, but to no avail.

The stalemate was broken until Skoll found himself being violently repelled by a fast-moving blur.

Anakin was taken away, leaving behind a confused Thor Skorr, who was about to sink into the lava, realizing that he was now alone and had to act fast if he wanted to survive the descending test chamber.

Anakin found himself on the Dusk in an instant, feeling a little dazed.

"Anakin," Pietro said beside him, "Come on, we have to go."

"Uh...oh, yeah, right."

The Dusk was launched into the air just in time, and the landing platform beneath it began to fall apart and slowly sank into the ground.

On the craggy rocks scattered around the collapsed laboratory, Thor Skoll stood and watched as a ship rose from the atmosphere and quickly left Mustafar.

The former Jedi frowned, knowing that neither Count Dooku nor Sidious would accept this defeat easily.
