War Machine and Gerry stand at the entrance to the underground space beneath the temple.

"It looks like we have two paths," War Machine noted, peering back and forth at the entrance.

"What do you think is down there?" Gerry asked, his finger dragging on the trigger of the blaster.

"Nightmare," War Machine said flatly. "Because this tunnel does look like hell."

"How terrible can it be?"

Suddenly there was a sound of flapping wings, followed by the hissing and screaming of Geonosians, which erupted from the two entrances to the underground space and the holes in the temple wall.

Luminara ignited her lightsaber while Gree began firing at the Geonosians. War Machine was in the air, attacking the Geonosians directly while his shoulder-mounted machine gun began to fire at full force.

It was a brief skirmish. Although about two dozen Geonosians attacked, the three battle-hardened warriors easily repelled them.

"Stay close," War Machine said, landing next to Gerry, the three of them now standing in a triangle.

The area was silent, save for the dust storm blowing around the barely standing building outside, and now they were all on edge.

Luminara held her lightsaber in front of her as Gerry swung his blaster back and forth between the hole in the wall and the entrance to the underground space.

War Machine stretched out his arms, his hands open, and his machine guns kept spinning.

"sizzle"

"They're coming!" Gerry shouted.

More Geonosians rushed out of their underground lairs.

The Clone Commander managed to keep up the fight while War Machine and Luminara fought off the new Geonosians. Only these Geonosians were noticeably different from the previous ones. War Machine found them to be much more resilient, only to be outshone by Luminara's lightsaber.

He didn't have much time to think about it, because he heard Commander Gerry's desperate roar.

He turned around to see the Clone Commander fighting these strange Geonosians who seemed intent on capturing him, much to War Machine's shock.

"Commander," Luminara called out worriedly as she went to help her commander, the war machine charging forward and knocking several Geonosians back.

Luminara was unable to dodge and her wrist holding the lightsaber was grabbed by a Geonosian.

She struggled for a moment, only to find that it seemed stronger than she was, as it pinched her wrist. She groaned in pain, and the lightsaber was no longer effective and fell from her hand.

Luminara was grabbed by several other Geonosians who emerged from the underground lair and began to drag her deeper into the lair.

"General!" Gerry shouted.

"Oh no." War Machine lunged forward, but a group of Geonosians in the cave below grabbed his legs and pulled him down.

War Machine's thrusters revved to full throttle, and he quickly escaped their clutches on his hands and feet, flying over to help Gerry take out the last of the Geonos he was still struggling with.

Then both of them turned around to look...

"Fuck." War Machine stomped his feet fiercely.

Luminara was dragged away. Carried away by the bugs, only her lightsaber was left on the ground. War Machine gritted his teeth and tried to follow her in, but Gerry stopped him.

"Sir, wait, it's not a good idea to rush in rashly." Gary tried his best to persuade.

"So what?" War Machine countered. "She needs our help."

"I know, sir, I know. But General Kenobi says these underground nests stretch for kilometers. We just saw that those underground nests are still full of those damn Geonos. We need to call for backup, it's much better than rushing in blindly.

War Machine gnashed his teeth in frustration.

"I'd love to rush in right now, Colonel," Gerry said apologetically. "She's my general. But right now, she's held captive in a lair underground on Geonos. We might do more harm than good if we rush in amidst the gunfire."

War Machine lowered his head and remained silent, he knew that Gerry was right.

"I'll send out a distress signal," War Machine said, pulling out his Avengers card, muttering to himself, "Hopefully the storm will die down soon."

Soon after, a Republic gunship flew in and landed outside the temple. The hatch opened and a team of clones walked in from the back, followed by Captain America, Anakin and Kenobi.

"Are you sure Rhodes sent a distress signal here?" Skywalker asked.

"Yes." Captain America nodded.

Once inside, they saw that the interior of the temple had been further damaged. Sitting on a rock not far from the entrance to the underground lair was the War Machine.

"What took you so long?" War Machine said as Gerry stood not far from the entrance, blaster in hand.

"Sorry, Rhodes. We wanted to get here sooner as well, but the storm was difficult to get through," Skywalker said.

"What happened to Luminara?" Kenobi asked.

War Machine raised her lightsaber and handed it to Kenobi. "Got taken by those bugs. I wanted to go after her, but..."

"The Geonosians are swarming, sir," Gerry added, now slightly more relaxed but still staring at the entrance to the underground lair.

Anakin stood at the entrance to his underground lair, gazing at a particularly unusual statue.

"That's an ugly bug," Cody commented.

"What is this?" Captain America walked up to Anakin and asked.

"I've never seen a statue like this before," Anakin said, not looking too fond of its appearance.

Kenobi stared at the statue for a moment and said, "Probably the Queen of Geonos."

"Does Geonos have a queen?" Anakin asked doubtfully.

"Queen? You can't be serious. Like an alien?.

"Oh, don't watch that movie anymore," Anakin said loudly, "After Peter showed me that movie, Ahsoka and the 501st, we've been trying to get out of Geonosis as quickly as possible.

Kenobi simply rolled his eyes at the joke. "There are rumors of a Queen of Geonos, but no proof of her existence."

"Unfortunately, today all will be revealed," Cap said, grabbing his shield from behind.

"Well, what are we waiting for, let's dive right in." Kenobi gestured and he and Anakin ignited his lightsaber. The two Jedi led the group directly into the dark underground lair and began their long journey through the seemingly endless caverns.

The clone raised his gun and turned on his helmet light.

In the narrow corridor, the atmosphere was a bit eerie. It was getting darker as they walked forward, the smell seemed to grow stronger little by little, and the tracking beacon from Luminara's wrist communicator kept beeping.

"This is a dead end," Cody informed.

"you sure?"

"Yes." Turning to the adjacent passage, the Clone Commander continued, "This passage can go further. I think this is our best option.

"I'll go in first." Obi-Wan walked into the narrow passage, followed by the others.

"God, this even reminds me of the Hive in the movie." War Machine muttered.

“Rhodes… stop talking.
