Colonel James Rhodes, aka War Machine, slowly opened his eyes and stared at the dark night sky, now feeling aches all over his body. He muttered, forcing himself to sit up as he heard the armor power up, and was relieved to see on his heads-up display that his armor was running at full capacity.

He stood up with difficulty, opened his helmet, and showed a tired expression. Looking around, War Machine found himself in a barren wasteland, with craters scattered throughout the sight.

All he could remember in his mind now was the moment when the energy exploded in the mysterious laboratory at the Hydra base. After a while, he said to himself: "Where am I?"

To say that War Machine was just confused about where he was would be a bit too rough. It's just that he hasn't figured out the situation for a while. I believe that if he knew that he had left the earth, he would be in the same bad mood as Falcon at that time.

This place was a bit strange, completely barren, with no life in sight. He looked up and always felt that the moon in the sky looked more like the earth than the moon he was familiar with.

He had tried to contact other members of the Avengers several times over three consecutive days, but no one responded. He had a vague feeling that something was wrong.

Fortunately, there were rations and water in his war machine armor, so he would not starve to death in this barren unknown land in the short term. At this moment, he was particularly grateful to Iron Man for storing food and water in every suit of armor. If it were not for his morbid thoughts that were difficult for ordinary people to understand, he might not even be able to survive these three days.

But now, the most important thing is to save energy and find other people as soon as possible and figure out where he is now.

To be honest, after three days of exploration, he began to doubt that he was no longer on Earth. In addition, he saw alien-like creatures flying around in space from time to time, which made him more certain of his inner thoughts.

After eating some food, War Machine decided to fly again to see if he could find any useful clues. After all, he felt that this barren land without any signs of life was of little value in any way, so he set his sights on the space above his head.

He started the thrusters, and the personalized arc reactor began to provide energy, slowly flying higher into the sky. He observed from the air, and could see nothing but the barren wasteland and the endless starry sky above his head.

Some might say the scenery above is beautiful and artistic, but that's not what Gears of War is about.

Suddenly, his mecha sent a message that there was a huge space station ahead.

War Machine's heart trembled. No matter whether it was good or bad, there were finally traces left by living creatures. He sped up and flew towards the unidentified space station.

Looking down from the air, the huge space station looked like a Grand Canyon, with only one deck for landing. A lone figure in white armor stood there - the clone sentinel - Sayid Troop, with a set of scopes installed on his helmet to give him a wider view from his position.

"This is the deck, everything is normal." The sentry said to other comrades in the base.

There was a group of clones in the base, and except for the two who were wrestling, all of them were watching several monitors for any signs of abnormality, more specifically, they were watching for signs of activity from the robot army.

The holographic radio broadcast kept playing: "You are listening to the Grand Army of the Republic broadcast..."

Just as one of the clones punched his companion in the arm, another clone entered the monitoring room with a folder.

"Haha, you lost. Who else? Number Five, do you want to try?" the clones shouted excitedly, while the losing clone rubbed his wrist in frustration.

"Uh, Heavy Burden, shouldn't you be staring at your monitor?" asked the clone who had just walked in.

“Okay, I’ll check to see what’s going on.” Zhongbu responded nonchalantly, complaining, “It’s just like I’ve watched it countless times before, everything is normal.”

"Personally, I like how quiet it is here. Come on over and sign in," the clone said, tapping his folder.

"Number Five, what's wrong with you?" Zhongdan argued childishly, "We should be on the front line blowing up robots instead of just sitting here doing nothing."

"Don't worry about him, he's been in his incubator for too long." Huo Bao glanced at No. 5 and said.

The Heavy and the Stooge laughed together, but Five just frowned in annoyance and looked back at his manual.

"Uh, if our mission is to be stationed here, then what's the point of all this previous training?" another clone complained.

"Yes, it's meaningless." Zhongdan said, "Five, you may not realize that we are now in the most boring outpost on the outer edge of the galaxy."

At this moment, a clone entered the monitoring room. This clone had gray eyebrows and sideburns. He said firmly: "It is also one of the most important ones."

All eyes turned to him and the Stooge immediately turned off the radio, while all the clones suddenly stood up and stood straight.

He stared at the assembled clones and said, "I know you are all new here, but I must remind you that this location is a key location for the Republic in the Outer Rim. If the droids destroy this base, they can launch a surprise attack on Kamino."

His reminder immediately made some clone troopers nervous, because Kamino was their clone homeland, and protecting it was obviously of great significance to them.

"Don't say I didn't warn you, several of the Republic General's lieutenants will be here, so I want you all to do your job and be ready for inspection." The sergeant looked at his squad and asked, "Understood?"

"Understood, sir!"

In the Milky Way, a Republic fleet advances through the vast space, and several V-19 Torrent starfighters fly towards the fleet's central ship.

Inside the center ship, Obi-Wan Kenobi stared out into space, lost in thought, before turning to his former apprentice, now also a Jedi Knight, Anakin.

"Anakin, are you alright? You haven't rested in a long time." Obi-Wan said as he walked towards the young Jedi who was staring at the interstellar map on the holo-desk.

"Once we catch Grievous, I can get some sleep," Anakin said, rubbing his temple. "Clone Intelligence last reported Grievous in the Balmora system, but that was a few weeks ago. He has disappeared since then."

"Well, he's not like you, maybe he just went back to rest." Obi-Wan said humorously.

Anakin's faithful astromech droid, R2-D2, chirped in agreement with Obi-Wan's words.

Anakin did not relax after hearing his master Obi-Wan's advice. Instead, he frowned and drooped his eyelids.

"What's wrong with you, Anakin? Is there anything else?" Obi-Wan said.

Before Anakin could reply, Admiral Wulf Yularen of the Republic approached the two men.

"General, I'm sorry to bother you, but Commander Cody has sent a communication request." Yularen said, and then he pressed the communication button and a small micro-holographic Cody appeared in front of them.

"General Kenobi, General Skywalker." Cody nodded respectfully.

"Cody," Kenobi greeted warmly. "How was the inspection?"

"Pastil's tracking station is fully operational, and Captain Rex and I are on our way to the outpost stationed in the Rishi system," Cody reported.

"Very good. Please report back when you arrive at Rishi Base," Obi-Wan said.

"Roger that, General." Cody exited the comms.

"Cody is an excellent commander," Kenobi praised, then looked at Anakin, "Don't worry, Anakin. If Grievous comes anywhere near this quadrant, we will know about it first."

"Master, do you feel anything unusual?" Anakin suddenly looked at him and asked.

Obi-Wan said nothing, his brow furrowed.

"General Kenobi? Is everything alright?" Yularen asked, noticing Obi-Wan's expression.

After a few seconds of silence, Obi-Wan responded. "The Force. I feel it shifting."

After hearing what Obi-Wan said, Anakin immediately said to Yularen, "Pay close attention to the eclipse system."
