Marvel crosses Star Wars, and everyone attacks the galaxy

Chapter 237: Obi-Wan and Grievous' Battle

Speaking of Grievous...

Kenobi had some difficulty blocking, parrying, and dodging attacks from electric staffs and opposing lightsabers, trying to find ways to gain a better advantage against his opponents.

"Your plan has failed, Jedi Knight," Grievous taunted harshly.

"I hear much talk, General," Kenobi countered, fending off more attacks from the Magna Guard. "But what does it get you? A futile pursuit of power, a mutilated body, and your position as Dooku's errand boy.

"I'm not some errand boy. And I'm not in this political battle for Dooku. I'm the leader of the most powerful droid army the galaxy has ever seen.

"An army without loyalty, without spirit, only programming," the Jedi corrected, for he saw an opportunity.

With a sweep of his legs, he uprooted a Magna Guard from its feet and sent it tumbling. Before it could hit the ground, Obi-Wan cleaved it in half and grabbed its electrical staff with his free hand. Without losing any momentum, he turned and stabbed the Separatist weapon into the final Magna Guard, short-circuiting it and disabling it.

"What abilities do you have to demonstrate?" the Jedi Knight questioned.

Grievous gave his answer shortly after separating his two arms into four, which grabbed two more lightsabers before igniting them. "The future. A future without Jedi."

The Cyborg General rushed forward, lightsaber spinning in his hands. Kenobi quickly blocked a few blows with his lightsaber and raised his electric staff to stop the incoming blow. It only worked a little bit, as the weapon of choice was destroyed. Before another lightsaber could arrive, the Jedi Knight leapt over his opponent. The moment he landed, he was kicked in the back, causing Kenobi to fall to the ground.

"The story of Obi-Wan Kenobi ends here."

As the Jedi Master shook his head to regain his bearings, Anakin and Hope were still surrounded by commando droids and an attendant with his lightsaber at the ready.

During that time, the tactical droid shocked Koth violently several times to prevent any movement of the two. Anakin stepped forward, but Koth was shocked again.

"One more step and your friend will die." The tactical robot said with a mechanical smile to show its gloating.

Frowning, Anakin held out his hand, but what the Jedi didn't expect was that Chezzo used his own Force push, speeding up the droid and crashing into Anakin.

In an instant, Wasp fired her upgraded stinger at the two commandos closest to them, then shrunk down.

The tactical droid thrown at Anakin was cut in half after he recovered to destroy the other droids.

Chezzo moved forward, her eyes trained on the Wasp's tiny speck, and began swinging her lightsaber in several arcs. Hope weaved in and out of each swing, narrowly avoiding the crimson blade. A final horizontal swing that Chezzo missed caused Hope to fall off her wings and fall to the ground.

She quickly grew to her full size again and delivered a swift uppercut to the waiter's chin.

Although she fell to the ground, Chezzo managed to sit up and released a burst of the Force that sent Hope flying back.

Thankfully, Wasp reflexively shrank back, and she stayed in the air, flying towards Chezo, only to be intercepted by a commando droid that managed to aim at her. She dodged the droid's sword, and was joined by Chezo moments later.

She was now moving around the two blades that were meant to kill her, moving between them at the same time. As the commando droid was closer, Wasp flew directly onto its head and fired both of her stingers, blasting two holes in the mechanical humanoid's face. After a moment, it fell over, motionless.

Hope then retreated in mid-air, looking back to see Anakin blocking Chezzo's lightsaber with his own.

"You have two enemies to watch out for, waiter," Anakin growled, pushing his lightsaber back and clashing with her a few more times.

Wasp then flew forward, circling Chezzo, attacking her repeatedly.

The attendant shook in agony, gritting her teeth until she saw Anakin turning around and gaining momentum, intending to split her in half.

Staggering, she raised her lightsaber just in time to meet the onslaught. With Anakin's own strength, plus some boosts from the Force, Chezzo was sent back to the lower level of the bridge.

She fell hard to the ground, and a second later, she collapsed, motionless.

With Chezo and the commando droids dealt with, Anakin and Hope were at Koth's side, the former using his lightsaber to break Master Zabrak's restraints.

Falling into Hope's arms, Ace grunted in pain but patted Hope to express his gratitude.

He said in a strained voice. "Where's Grievous?"

"If all went according to plan, he should be aboard Obi-Wan's ship," Anakin said

"He was caught?" Cos asked hopefully.

"If we can cut off his escape, that's possible," Anakin declared.

"Where's Scott?"

"Sam found him." Hope said. "Now let's get you out of here."

Hope and Anakin began to leave the bridge with Master Koth by their side. What they didn't realize was that a Sith attendant began to move.

After a moment, the yellow eyes opened, filled with sinister intent.

With that part of the quest complete, the final aspect is dealing with Grievous.

Suffice it to say, Obi-Wan still faces some difficulties, as the General seems determined to kill him.

Grievous brought down his lightsaber and nearly chopped Obi-Wan into several pieces. But the Jedi used the Force to help move his body away from the fatal blow. Landing a few meters away, Kenobi didn't have the proper time to catch his breath as he had to jump away from the incoming attack. The opposing lightsaber slashed through much of the nearby equipment as Obi-Wan put a lot of effort into fighting the Jedi killer. Clashing their weapons together, Obi-Wan was forced to bend back, gathering most of his strength so that Grievous wouldn't take up more of his personal space.

"Your friends will die, Kenobi, and you will soon follow."

"You are a fool if you truly believe that," Obi-Wan said, reengaging his enemy with renewed vigor.

As he turned to dodge another powerful thrust, Obi-Wan saw the prone body of the Magna Guard a few meters away. Using the Force, he threw the dismembered droid at Grievous. The blow was surprising, causing the Separatist General to crash directly through the pilot's seat and the front window.

As he was about to stand up, Grievous saw Kenobi's blue lightsaber approaching his face.

"Surrender, General."

"no way!"

Grievous swung his lightsaber, knocking Obi-Wan's weapon away. Rather than continue their current fight, the droid leaped off the Jedi General and fled on all fours.

Obi-Wan quickly gave chase, not wanting the Separatist droid to escape, but was too late as the door in front of him closed, and it seemed that Grievous had locked him inside.

He shoved his lightsaber through the door as he contacted the rescue team. "Anakin, Sam. I want you two to rescue Master Koth and Scott, because Grievous is going back to his ship.
