The Benatar left hyperspace and flew towards the planet Felucia.

Since arriving in this galaxy, they have learned that this place does not have the universal neural transmission network that connects most of the universe.

Instead, they have something called hyperspace here as their FTL source.

Thankfully, the team has a couple like Kraglin and Rocket Raccoon, as well as HK-47 to point them in the right direction.

They are getting closer to the planet Felucia when they notice some kind of satellite in the planet's orbit.

"What is that?" Quill asked, squinting at the strange object.

Their clients and planet natives gasped loudly. "Oh no! I totally forgot about that! That was a Separatist defense investigation!"

"What do you mean?" Rocket looked at the Felucian expectantly.

“If it doesn’t recognize you as an ally, it might deploy starfighters against you.

"Relieved: I think it might have taken sensible defensive measures," HK-47 responded, still sitting in his seat.

This no doubt came as a shock to their clients, as he watched them get a little more comfortable in their seats just as the strange probe up ahead deployed five vulture droids.

"Just five?" Star-Lord scoffed.

"They obviously haven't heard about our battle with those gold-skinned monarch bastards."

"Remember, we're in another galaxy. So these Separatists won't know them. Gamora pointed out.

"Good." Rocket's smile was manic. "This means we can show off our skills."

Before their Felucian client could voice his recently formed investigation, Rocket and Star-Lord were eager to spring into action.

Quill pushed forward at full speed, the rocket letting out a roar as he began firing Benatar's weapons.

In a split second, two of the vulture droids were shot down, while the other three crawled around the ship before repositioning themselves in pursuit.

"Hey, they look like they're going to line up," Quill pointed out.

"Great." Rocket flipped a few switches upwards, aiming at the three vulture droid ships that were getting closer and closer to them.

The moment he locked onto them, Rocket launched a frenzy of attacks. The guns on their side opened fire, firing several rounds that pierced the vulture robots. Raccoon laughed at the sight.

"Ha! That's so easy!

“Oh, for love’s sake—don’t do it again, either of you. I’ve dealt with it once before, and you remember how it turned out.

"Relax, Gamora." Rocket scoffed. "It's just us filming shit."

Gamora looked at Quill, her expression confirming this. She frowned slightly and leaned back in her seat as they descended to the planet's surface.

Following the instructions given to them by their client, the Guardians reached the edge of a village and Benatar landed on the ground.

"We are here." The customer rushed off the boat and ran towards the village.

The four guardians got off the boat and passed through the village gate. They noticed the small houses in the village, among which there was a particularly large building.

As they entered the village, one thing struck them.

"This place looks desolate," Quill said, looking around.

“I don’t think so,” Gamora said, glancing at the pink, potato-like plants. “The crops appear to be ready for harvest.

"Where's everybody?" Rocket asked loudly, walking up to one of the crops and poking it with his finger.

"Hopefully our customers will remember to tell us what's going on beforehand," Quill said. "Hate to see if the pirates have come over and done their job."

"If they did, we'd be looking at a one-sided skirmish, not to mention a lot of dead bodies. Gamora said, crossing her arms.

"Well, there may not be any bodies," said Rocket, examining the farm implements.

"Q: Where are the villagers?" HK-47 said.

"Where's Muris?" Gamora added, looking around the village again.

"If I remember anything about farmers and the greatest movie ever made, Footloose, check out the barn," Star-Lord said.

They walked over to the largest building, now identified as the barn, and to the control panel.

With a quick push of a button, the barn doors opened to reveal...

"That's not a ship for farmers," Gamora said bluntly.

"Indeed." Rocket's eyes quickly analyzed the ship. "That's a bounty hunter ship."

"So there are bounty hunters here?" Quill muttered.

"Then why hire us?" HK asked the common question in their minds.

Before they could say anything else, they heard a commotion coming from a nearby hut.

"You two stay here," Quill said to HK and Gamora, gesturing his head towards the cabin and exchanging glances with Rocket.

The raccoon nodded and the two approached the cabin and walked inside.

They looked around the relatively small abode until Rocket noticed a small hatch. He snapped his fingers, getting Star-Lord's attention, and pointed to the door in the ground.

Star-Lord pulled out one of his quad blasters and hovered over the hatch while Rocket grabbed the handle…

They both paused for a moment until Rocket opened the hatch, Quill raised his weapon, and Rocket quickly pulled out his own.

After a while, they realized that the people hiding inside were Felucians.

"We found them," Quill muttered, quickly sheathing his weapon. "Some of them, at least."

Rocket took a moment to look at the three Felucians in the hiding space. "Damn, they're really freaking out."

Quill frowned, raised his hands and crouched down.

"Hey, it's okay. We're not here to hurt you.

"Please put down your weapons."

"But they will hurt us." Rocket said in a flat tone.

They both turned around to see four men standing before them.

A Zabrak woman has her blaster pointed at Star-Lord's head. Next to her is a tall alien with a crossbow and a large round hat.

On the other side of the Zabrak females is the female species known as the Frenk.

Behind them was a large, heavily armored figure, with two white eyes visible between its visor.

"Relax. We're not here to cause trouble," Quill said, holding up his hands.

The man in the big hat spoke in his native tongue, but Rocket seemed to hear him clearly.

"Battles aren't always about numbers," Rocket said.

"Four against one is hardly a fair fight," the Frenk woman responded.

"Wait a minute... four to one?" Rocket asked loudly. "What, Quill doesn't count?"

"We don't count you, the little guy who's only knee-high," the armored man said, his voice slightly mechanical.

Rocket snorted. "Well, that's something I haven't heard in a long time.

Suddenly, the Zabrak woman felt the tip of a knife pressed against the back of her neck.

"Do you count us?" Gamora said coldly, her body very stable.

"Who are you?" Zabrak asked, keeping his eyes on Quill.

"We were sent by Muris," Star-Lord replied. "About pirates harassing his village."

The Zabrak woman frowned. "That's why we're here."

Everyone was stunned for a moment, and Rocket thought for a moment and said, "Maybe we got it mixed up."

"Perhaps," Zabrak said.

"Or maybe Muris realized you guys are no good and knew we'd be a better choice. Rocket quickly gave a feral grin that made the other four bounty hunters' hair stand on end.

"Rocket," Gamora warned.

"What's wrong? I was just talking.

"Wait, wait!" Suddenly, another Felucian rushed in with their original client, Muris. "Please stop, they were brought here by my brother, please put away your weapons.

The Zabrak women heard this and slowly put away their weapons.

"Need I remind you, Cassis, that you have made a deal with us," the Zabrak woman said.

"Yes," Cassis said. "But I also sent out Muris, so that we could recruit more men. Muris has told me that an agreement has been reached with these men that will not affect your compensation in any way, shape or form.

Slowly, both sides laid down their weapons.

"Alright then." The Zabrak female crossed her arms and looked at Star-Lord. "Who are you guys?"

Star-Lord looked at Gamora for a moment, then back at the Zabrak woman, and shrugged. "We are the guardians of the galaxy."

The bounty hunters blinked collectively; they had never heard of such an organization, but fortunately the misunderstanding was resolved.
