The Republic Fleet based on the planet of Jabium was one of the largest concentrations the Republic had ever assembled during the war.

第 501、212、71、327、104 和 41 军团都向贾比姆星球前进。

Some might say this lineup is too strong.

But in fact, almost all of the Avengers emphasized the danger of Ultron, coupled with the presence of Separatists on the planet Jabium and the civil war raging.

As a result, a large number of Republic ships sailed to destinations that could be traps.

Inside the 501st Legion's flagship, some of the Legion's more notable soldiers were currently either preparing their equipment or resting up before they reached Jabimu.

Most were either polishing their armor, making adjustments to their weapons, or simply taking the time to close their eyes and rest.

Most of them were slightly nervous, but one was particularly miserable.

The lone clone trooper looked at the dataslate, his expression becoming increasingly distraught as he continued to scroll through it until…

"Kix."

The sound of Domino Squadron's burdens broke the clone medics' limbo, causing the troopers to look up at the heavy weapons specialists.

"You're only going to feel worse if you keep staring at that dataslate," said the heavy-handed man, a tired look in his eyes.

Kix gritted his teeth and looked down at the dataslate because he couldn't stop himself.

"The number keeps going up," Kix said in a hollow voice. "That's all they've been doing for hours."

"It probably won't stop, you know?" Jesse pointed out in a dazed tone. "That attack…what happened on Coruscant…the whole planet was attacked. In addition to all the Jedi and all the clones, and everywhere else.

"How the hell did this happen?" Five said from his seat. "This Ultron bastard suddenly appeared and attacked dozens of star systems at the same time. Where the hell did he get the resources from?

"Most of them got hit and ran," Echo said loudly, holding his datapad in his hand. "Except for a few key locations, Coruscant being one of them, most well-planned attacks last at least ten to thirty minutes. The Republic capital that was attacked was one of the few that lasted a few hours."

"Which are the others?" asked the Troublemaker, repairing his rotary blaster.

"The Separatist capital," Echo revealed. "A few of our own military outposts, Clan Hutt and the Outer Rim. And Mandalore, though they mainly hit Concordia's moon and a few other planets within that system."

"Sounds like a shit show," Five couldn't help but remark. It was one of his new favorite phrases, one he'd heard Colonel Rhodes say once.

The phrase is quaint, simple and to the point.

"Indeed."

"So what should we do?" asked Heavy. "This Ultron is attacking a lot of places at once, right?"

"Well, Jabimu is the primary target right now," Jesse pointed out. "Our forces tell us this psycho's ship is out there, and he's killing our fellows and the Separatists."

"If it were just an attack on the Separatists, normally I'd love news like this," Five said. "But now—Kix! Seriously, you'll never sleep if you keep staring at that damn dataslate.

“Well, sorry, I can’t look away,” Kix retorted fiercely. “The casualties are rising again.”

The clones move around uncomfortably after hearing this.

"I thought they had a handle on the casualties," said the Heavy, and Kix shook his head.

“No, that’s the immediate death toll,” Kix said. “More and more people are being found dead, both on Coruscant and in other Republic systems.”

"What's the number so far?" Jesse asked nervously.

"Clone casualties..." Kix's expression dropped significantly. "There are nearly in the entire galaxy.

All the clones gasped after hearing such a high number of casualties.

"Damn it," Five muttered in disbelief, leaning back against his bunk.

"And this is just a preliminary count," Kix said solemnly. "It's still growing. The civilians and local militias throughout the system are well over a hundred thousand. The Jedi Knights lost about a few dozen, probably more."

"Even Jedi Knights die?" The Burden muttered, rubbing his head. It was a pretty scary thought when he thought about it.

All clones know that Jedi are not as indestructible as many people think. They die like any other normal clone or creature.

But when you're working with Jedi like Anakin Skywalker and Ahsoka Tano, it's hard not to believe that the Jedi are unkillable.

The thought of losing their general and their commander, who many in the 501st considered friends at this point, made the burden visibly shudder.

He would rather not think about such things.

"Who was the other guy Captain Rogers talked about during the war back home?" asked a clone of the 501st.

"Uh..." Another clone trooper from the 501st racked his brains, thought for a long time, and said, "Fool?"

The clone scoffed at his mispronunciation.

"No, no." The rascal muttered to himself thoughtfully. "I think it's... Fuba! Yes, that's it.

"What does this mean?" Jesse asked.

"I don't know either." The gangster said with a loud laugh.

"You'll remember that," said Kerrick dryly.

Before the other clones could make any further comments, the entrance to their barracks opened and Commander Tano walked in.

She is joined by Peter Parker, Barriss Offee and Clone Trooper Stooge.

Each of them held several boxes and trays in their hands...

"Pizza," the Stooge announced cheerfully.

The clones cheered loudly at this, many sitting up in anticipation as pizza boxes were passed out.

"Thank the force," Heavy said loudly, grabbing two slices for himself and handing the box to Five. "Thank you, Parker."

"Hey~ what about us?" Ahsoka purred playfully, already holding a slice of her own pizza in her hands. "Barriss and I brought it here."

"I'm sorry, Commander, it was brought by the clown." Zhongdan said shamelessly.

The clone in question visibly gasped and patted his helmet affectionately, which bore Ahsoka's Togrutan facial markings.

"You're just jealous of my job," he said in an offensive manner.

"What's going on?" Five couldn't help but ask, taking a bite of his slice of pizza.

Barris cleared his throat.

"We thought... that this would be a good moment to rest after what has happened and what is about to happen. The Mirialan Jedi said softly.

The mood grew even more somber as the clones once again recalled the attack on Coruscant and the losses that continued to come in droves, which frankly became increasingly heavy for the clones as time went on.

The capital of Coruscant was attacked right under their noses, and no one saw it coming.

no one.

"Okay, guys, enjoy your pizza," Peter encouraged, trying to lighten the mood. "Just stop thinking about the bad stuff now, okay?"

He began making a netted hammock for himself and a few other men around the barracks.

There was a brief moment of satisfaction in the barracks as everyone buried their heads in the wonderful food called pizza.
