Honestly, it took Steve an hour to get out of the medical facilities and restrooms of the Republic station they stopped at on their way back to Coruscant.

The Slehi Dragon was on the outer edge, not far from the Hutt-controlled space, so it was the perfect place for them to stop and receive proper treatment.

Most of his leg was broken because he was lightly hit by Gorog when he rescued Ayla. Not to mention being held captive for a month, he needed to be checked out.

Thankfully, though, with the medical knowledge of this galaxy and his own enhanced physiology, he'll be able to recover in a few weeks.

After the checkup, Steve pretty much isolated himself in the bathroom so he could clean himself up.

He was greasy, dirty, and hadn't shaved in so long that his unkempt beard began to grow wildly.

"God, I almost forgot how good a hot shower feels," Steve said to himself.

"It took you long enough."

Cap looked back and saw Sam, Natasha, Scott, T'Challa, and Anakin walking into his room.

"Almost thought you wanted to have a party in the shower," Falcon joked, grinning.

"Almost," Steve admitted, limping over to give Sam a hug, then doing the same to Scott and Natasha, and shaking T'Challa's hand tightly.

Then he placed a hand on Anakin's shoulder. "Thank you for coming to me. All of you.

"It's not the same without you, Cap." Skywalker said, smirking arrogantly. "Can't stand seeing the Avengers running around like that."

"I wouldn't call it mopping," Natasha said, rolling her eyes at the Jedi.

"More like overbearing depression?" Anakin continued.

"Aren't you also insisting on getting him back?" Scott shot back.

"Steve, how are you feeling?" T'Challa asked, ignoring the others' banter.

"Still alive," Steve replied wearily. "You should at least be happy about that."

"How do your legs feel?" Natasha asked.

Steve glanced down at his foot. “I haven’t broken a bone in years. So this is going to be an unforgettable experience.”

Then he looked back at his friend.

"Where are the others? Delta Team? Voss? Ella?

"They're resting in their rooms," Sam answered. "Saw Delta Team in the cafeteria, catching some grubs."

"Worth is in her room with that Ms. Hentz because she's frightened by that monster freak," Scott said. "And Ella is resting in her room.

Steve nodded, happy to hear that all who had followed him were still alive and in one piece.

"I have to ask, but what did I miss when I left?"

"During this month, or when you were caught?" Natasha asked.

Steve frowned at the answer, then gave a simple response. "Two..."

He was given a brief summary of the events that had occurred since he was kidnapped by Ultron.

This was kind of what he was expecting.

The galaxy was in a state of fear, and throughout the Republic and the CIS were in turmoil.

Several systems in the galaxy switched between the Republic, the Separatists, or choosing neutrality, causing further unrest.

It's madness, pure and simple.

The Jedi also received a secret message directly from the Hutt Cartel informing them of something very serious.

Ultron met with them earlier this year, strong-arming them into silence as he operated within their system.

This is huge news to the Avengers and the rest of the Jedi, which is why they are shocked when they learn that Obi-Wan was not at the Temple while they were away as multiple fleets are sent into Hutt space to try and determine Ultron's location.

However, the Avengers, those who had fought him before, believed that Ultron might have changed bases at this point. He had said to Steve that he would have to change tactics if he was going to win, so they knew they had to do the same for him.

Eventually, they left, leaving the time to himself, and Cap was now walking through the pristine white halls of the medical facility.

He passed a few clones, all of whom stopped to salute, and Steve either nodded firmly or gave something like a brotherly smile.

Strangely enough, he was at ease with the clones at this point, but was welcome. They were soldiers like him.

Steve stopped at the room that Voss and Karin were supposed to be in. He took a moment to peek into the room and saw Karin lying on the bed with several bandages wrapped around her, though she still looked fine. Beside her, holding her hand, was Quinlan Voss, who was injured himself, but not enough to keep him bedridden.

The two seemed to be having a rather intimate conversation, smiling tenderly as they spoke to each other.

"Are they in love?" Steve wondered absentmindedly.

This thought was almost confirmed when he saw Voss lift Karin's hand to his lips and kiss it passionately. Henz sighed contentedly and pulled him in for a quick kiss.

Not wanting to ruin whatever sweet moment was happening here, he quietly tottered away.

He walked past another room, but stopped and turned back quickly.

In this room, he saw a lone blue-skinned Twi'lek Jedi, wrapped in bandages, sitting cross-legged on the edge of a bed in a meditative position.

"Ella," Steve said calmly, causing her to open her eyes and see him standing in the doorway to her room.

"Steve," she said with a kind smile. "I'm glad to see you've been around."

“You too…Okay, that’s fine.

Ella smiled, a cute grin as he limped over to her.

"How are you feeling?" he asked, causing the Jedi to laugh again.

"Shouldn't I be asking you that?" Ayla asked playfully. "I've only been in the arena for one day, and you've been there for over a month."

"I'm walking," Steve said flatly, smiling. "That should be enough proof."

"Well, you should rest," Ella warned jokingly.

"It would probably take an army to keep me from going to war until I'm well again," Steve joked with a shrug.

“After everything you’ve been through, they’re practically going to order you to comply with that request,” Ella countered. “I wouldn’t be surprised if Natasha convinced Peter to put you to bed so you can recover properly.”

"That's what she would do," Steve said amusedly.

The two were quiet for a while.

"Thank you for coming to me," Steve whispered.

Ella blinked, but after a moment she smiled a bright, contented smile.

"I guess I should thank you, too." Ayla said softly. "Even though we came to save you, you still saved me from all this in your typical way."

Steve shook his head. "You guys came to me after all, that's the most important thing."

Ella felt her body protest at her movements but she managed to stand up without too much trouble.

She walked over to him and gently pulled him in for a gentle hug, a gesture Steve returned.

"Anything for a friend," she whispered.
