By now they had been travelling for several weeks, and when they entered Asian territory it was already spring.

Celeste and Bucky currently live in India, and the latter has booked a bus to take them to Nepal, where they finally found the place Odin had directed them to. Honestly, it would have been easier to find an exact location in Kathmandu.

Currently, they live in a small cottage that they "bought" by doing favors and odd jobs.

Celeste rests in the cabin while Bucky goes around gathering food for their ride to Nepal.

“Thanks,” Bucky muttered to the vendor, from where he bought a large quantity of fruits and vegetables.

He returned to their cabin, opened the door, and found Celeste sitting in the center of the small room, legs crossed.

She had her eyes closed and her hands on her knees, with her lightsaber in front of her. It was floating in the air because she had used the Force to clean it earlier. She was cleaning off the last piece so that it could be maintained.

He put the food aside and sat in a nearby chair, just watching her put the lightsaber back where it belonged.

"How about it?"

"It's getting better and smoother," Celeste noted. "Maybe it has something to do with us being close to where Odin sent us."

“Maybe,” Bucky said. “Your guess is as good as mine.”

Celeste gave the man an amused smile. "In all the time I've been explaining all this to you, I get the feeling you've retained almost nothing.

“Who, me?" Bucky put a hand over his chest in mock disbelief. "I'll have you know, I retained everything you said about magic and all that clumsy juggernaut. I was just selective about what I wanted to remember.

“For me, I believe you are only peering through a tiny hole and not fully understanding what you are learning. Being too afraid to grasp the full reality when looking outside the hole.

Bucky gave her a deadpan look. “You do realize that I live on a planet with gods that control the weather, right? I’m from the past, and I’m basically the same as you… I think.

Celeste hummed.

"What do you think we'll find when we get there?" he asked, causing her brows to furrow in thought.

“I… I don’t know,” Morn said. “This isn’t like my time in the Order, where I at least had some knowledge to refer to. This planet is completely new to me.”

Bucky simply nodded, standing up from his seat and walking over to her, offering her his hand.

"Well, at least you're not alone," the Winter Soldier told her kindly.

She gave him an appreciative smile and took his hand, and he pulled her to her feet.

He smiled at her and turned to get the food he had recently brought when he felt Celeste still holding his hand.

Bucky looked back at her with curious eyes, a little surprised that she had walked right up to him, only a few centimeters away.

“Celeste—?”

"I never thanked you, you know," she said quietly. "You found me, freed me from that sarcophagus—"

“In hindsight, it was more like an accidental discovery,” Bucky admitted, but Celeste shook her head.

"No." Morn was more determined this time. "It may be different, but I feel it is the will of the Force. I was perhaps destined to be here, to find you. You who understand me in a way that perhaps no one else will ever truly understand me. You found me, saved me... gave me hope, and if the worst came to pass, I was prepared to die.

Bucky's expression softened when he heard this.

“Hey, this is what I’m here for,” he whispered. “You had my back, and I had yours. Not the way I thought it would be, but… I’m glad I found you, Celeste.”

The Jedi Shadow gave him a bright smile.

Bucky was confused by this and was about to ask what was wrong when Celeste turned her head towards him.

He blinked, but after a moment, he responded.

The two kissed, which lasted for a few seconds before pulling away from each other.

They both stared at each other before leaning in to kiss again. It became more passionate and intense than before.

That’s what happened between the two of them, Celeste’s arm around Bucky’s shoulders and Bucky’s arm around her waist.

Finally, after a few long seconds, they broke apart, foreheads pressed together, breathing heavily.

“That’s…something,” Celeste whispered, gulping for air.

“Yeah,” Bucky said, also breathless.

From now on, their relationship will be awkward indeed.

"Have you--?"

"No," Celeste replied.

The two were silent for a moment until Celeste pulled Bucky down for another, more sensual kiss and Bucky quickly lifted her up into a hug. She wrapped her arms and legs around him as he held her.

He walked over to their bed and she leaned forward so they both fell onto the single bed in the small cabin and before long a competition began to see who could get out of their clothes the fastest.
