"Seriously, why isn't there a hanging ring in this place?" Doctor Strange said in obvious irritation, returning to the two of them as they were now both standing in front of the circular window of the temple.

“Maybe we just weren’t checking in the right places,” Robbie suggested.

Celeste hummed thoughtfully. "No, I agree with Stephen. This is a sanctuary, and the ring would have been one of the first items we found. Besides, at least one person should have been left in the sanctuary in case of emergency.

"When this is all over, I'm going to have to talk to the Ancient One and enforce this. Stephen complained.

“It’s a bit like mobile phones from decades ago,” Robbie commented.

"Why?" asked the Jedi.

"I find this very strange." The Jedi continued to comment. "My hometown, every place I remember going to had communication equipment.

"You're lucky."

Strange sighed. "Well, what do we--"

*Hey hey hey*

A distinctive rumbling noise could be heard from the foyer. This surprised the trio, who quickly investigated.

They ran to the front lines and saw an African-American magician fighting—

"Racked!" Robbie yelled, jumping over the railing to help the man.

"What the hell are they doing? I thought they were just attacking Kamar-Taj!" Strange exclaimed in shock.

Robbie roared, his eyes gleaming. "Asshole. Moore must be attacking all the temples.

"It's not time yet." Celeste shouted, igniting her lightsaber. "Wait a moment, Master Drumm!"

The man turned around to see the Jedi Shadow do an amazing multiple front flips on top of him, then come down and slice a Rak'k in half.

"Celeste." He breathed a sigh of relief. "Thank God you're here."

Drum looked back and saw Robbie's head transformed into the burning skull of a knight again, and he headbutted a Rak Ghost with its head burned off.

"What are you doing here, Celeste?" Durham asked.

"The London Sanctuary fell, and we were sent here. The only escape route was blocked.

"Where is your hanging ring?"

"We lost it," Strange revealed awkwardly as he conjured a spooky whip and wrapped the rope around the Rak's mouth, pulling at his ethereal rope.

Rakki is pulled down and hits the ground face first, only to be quickly killed by Celeste moments later.

Meanwhile, Robbie had grabbed a Rakki with his flaming chains, and instead of throwing the Sith creature around, he let the chains themselves burn the creature to a crisp.

Ghost Rider pulled free of his chain whip and unsheathed his axe weapons from his back. As he swung them, the blades ignited as they helped split the opponent in front of him. The Spirit of Vengeance then continued moving, bringing the other axe into a spin.

Soon, screams were heard from outside the temple.

"Oh my god." Strange said loudly, and then quickly ran to the street and saw the Rak Ghost running around Bleecker Street. "Shit, they are coming too."

"Fuck!" Robbie yelled, rushing out of the temple and joining the doctor.

In an instant, his fiery chains quickly wrapped around the edge of his new axe handle and he swung it forward.

The edge of the axe turned a molten red and steam emanated from it.

The axe then embedded itself into the chest of a particularly large rake, causing him to scream loudly in agony.

Robbie gripped the chain tightly and swung his hand, sending a stream of hellfire running down the chain toward the end of the axe it was attached to.

The Rak ghost twitched for a moment, then exploded into countless pieces, which are now scattered on the ground.

Drumm is using his own magical implement, simply called the Ghost Staff. A basic implement used by most mystics, this staff has been modified by Drumm to better fit his broad frame and elemental strength, and is enhanced by his magic.

He smashed the edge of his weapon into the jaw of a rake and watched the teeth shatter. Then he punched it in the stomach, knocking it to the ground, and the dram smashed its head.

The Master of the New York Sanctuary heard windows being broken and people screaming in terror.

He turned around and saw people running for their lives and rakish ghosts breaking into apartments and temples.

"The temple has been attacked!"

"Weird." Celeste yelled, rushing towards the Rakki that was chasing innocent civilians. "Protect the sanctuary. We'll handle things from here.

Stephen seemed conflicted for a moment, watching people run for their lives.

He wanted to help them.

Strange put his hands together, summoned his strange whips, and threw them at the nearest few Rak'ks.

"Robbie," Strange yelled, throwing them all at Ghost Rider, then he ran into the temple and fended off the Rak'k ghosts inside.

Ghost Rider turned around just in time to see nearly a dozen Sith Spawns slithering beneath him.

If you look closely, the skull appears to be grinning as he smashes his fiery fist into his fiery palm.

Doctor Strange knew he wasn't going to be of much help to the people in front of him, so he quickly moved around them and repeated the same action he had done before.

Doctor Strange struggles to fend off the last of the Rak'Khmer attacking him. He is doing his best to block their onslaught with phantom webs emanating from his hands. The former surgeon is forced to retreat back, giving him a better vantage point to overcome his opponent.

Luckily, Ghost Rider's hellfire whip makes short work of the Rak's ghosts chasing him. Regardless, Doctor Strange needs something to help him out in this issue of Manhattan.

When he returned to the temple, he went upstairs to where a collection of weapons and artifacts were kept. Surely one of them could at least help him, though he had little experience with the use of weapons.

Back outside, Ghost Rider guards the entrance to the temple so no more enemies get in. He turns around once again and chops away at another Rak.

Just then, he noticed something out of the corner of his eye. Turning around, he wasn't the only one to see what it was.

"Impossible," Celeste whispered in horror, looking at the portal in horror.

Drumm was beside her, tense and ready, and they stared as Caecilius and his five followers passed through the portal.

The fallen magician first thought of Drum.

"Daniel," Caecilius greeted warmly. "I see you have become the master of this temple."

Drum clenched the ghost staff in his hand.

Kaecilius glanced back and saw the Rakki rampaging, then turned to look at the two fanatics on his left.

"Tell them to stand back. I don't want any disturbance here."

The two nodded and ran away.

“You say that, but we stand before you,” Celeste said, standing straight and summoning a strange sword with her other hand.

Kaecilius narrowed his eyes and stared at the Jedi for a moment until a look of realization came over his face.

"Ah, by the way, what are you called?" Caecilius asked. "Jedi Knight, huh?"

"And now the Master of the Mystic Arts," Celeste said, taking a stance to fight Caecilius, with Drum following suit.

Ghost Rider walked over to stand next to them, his menacing presence causing the other two zealots to temporarily step back while their master remained steadfast.

"It's a shame you followed her," Caecilius scolded. He put his hands together, pointed his fingers at each other, and created a spatial fragment that curved the space around it.

His two students did the same and quickly engaged their three opponents.

Drum fights a male Zealot, while Ghost Rider goes to fight a female Zealot.

Celeste clashed with Kaecilius, their weapons emitting sparks of energy as they dueled against each other.

Dormammu's followers pushed her back, reaching a hand to the ground and spinning in a circle.

In an instant the entire ground began to move and change, and a moment later the whole world around them seemed to have become a moving kaleidoscope.

"Behold, the power of my master," boasted Kaecilius.

Ghost Rider attempted to whip his chain at Caecilius, but it was quickly deflected by the Female Zealot, who knocked him back into a moving building.

"Robbie!" Celeste yelled, turning in time to block the opponent's powerful blow.

She flew high into the sky and fell back into the New York Temple.

As Drumm was on the back foot, the male fanatic attacked him relentlessly, with each blow accompanied by wisps of dark energy flowing from his weapon.

The two battled to the temple's foyer, at which point Doctor Strange returned, now wearing a red flowing cape with several scratches on his body.

He returned in time to see Drum being attacked by a double team of Caecilius and his followers.

The student grabbed Daniel's cane and it appeared to disintegrate, with shards of glass floating in the air.

Then, Caecilius's hand glowed purple and red and smashed into the Master's chest.

Doctor Strange heard the sound of ribs breaking and jumped onto the railing in vain.

"No!"

Durham fell to the ground, bleeding profusely.

"Ugh," Doctor Strange turned his head to see Celeste clutching her sides, wincing in pain.

"Moen." He walked over to her and helped her sit down, leaning against the wall, and then facing Caecilius.

The former Master stared at Doctor Strange with curiosity. "I didn't see you before I left. You must be new here. Who are you, sir..."

"doctor."

Caecilius actually paused at the name. "Mr. Doctor?"

"That's a strange title," Doctor Strange clarified.

The depraved Caecilius seemed to find brief pleasure in this. "Perhaps. Who am I to judge?"

He then throws his dimensional fragment at Doctor Strange, who hastily blocks it.

The female zealot walked into the foyer and immediately saw her companion running along the wall to find Doctor Strange and Celeste and quickly joined him.

Doctor Strange gritted his teeth and re-summoned his creepy whip to fend off the male fanatics, while Celeste waited for the female fanatics to approach them at the right moment.

After the woman leapt from the wall, Celeste reached out and sent a magically enhanced Force thrust that sent Dormammu's followers flying.

Doctor Strange carried her on his back and they ran back, where three dark magic users engaged them.

Doctor Strange ran towards the hallway with three windows leading to the rest of the planet, and Dormammu's Master Follower held out his hands in their direction with his arms crossed.

The corridor began to shift, twist and turn.

Doctor Strange lost his footing and nearly fell with Celeste on his back, but recovered quickly as the cape he was wearing kept them both airborne.

He then lowered Celeste to her feet and she physically maneuvered herself out of his grasp so she could activate her lightsaber again.

With this advantage, Doctor Strange resumes the fight by summoning some ethereal whips to attack, and is even able to ensnare the space debris summoned by his opponent, but they are now playing tug-of-war with each other.

Doctor Strange concentrated on exposing himself, and the female zealot leaped into the air, ready to drop her dimensional fragment on Celeste, when something grabbed her mid-air.

She looked down in horror at a melted chain wrapped securely around her waist.

"come over!

The female fanatic could only scream as she was pulled into the grasp of the waiting Ghost Rider.

She struggled and squirmed, trying to get as far away from the burning skull as possible while trying to escape.

"You~" The Knight's voice was now completely demonic, barely audible beyond Robbie's. "Guilty. Look me in the eyes. Your soul is stained with the blood of innocents. It's time you understood their pain."

The female fanatic could only struggle in vain in the end, as she literally felt her soul begin to feel some kind of burning pressure.

She attempts to escape her body through astral projection, but finds herself trapped in her own body.

"You're not going anywhere," Ghost Rider said menacingly. "Feel their pain!"

The young woman slowly began to moan in agony, then turned into pure, utter agony and screaming as all the wrong things she had done, especially in the past few weeks, began to literally burn her soul.
