Marvel crosses Star Wars, and everyone attacks the galaxy
Chapter 544: Spider-Man
The surroundings were strangely quiet. Compared to the New York in my memory, the quietness at this moment was completely different.
“Beep——”
"Watch your way when you walk, kid!" the man who had just honked at him shouted at the top of his voice as he passed by.
Well, it didn't seem to be completely silent, but Spider-Man Parker still felt a strong sense of contrast. After returning from the bustling and noisy city planet of Coruscant, he inevitably had a different feeling for his hometown New York. Although New York was also a big city, compared with Coruscant, it didn't have that kind of overwhelming noise.
During his adventures in the multiverse, he felt this even more deeply. The other New York he had visited was full of changes that were both familiar and unfamiliar. He remembered hearing someone say that someone moved away from a place and returned for some reason a few years later. After returning, he lamented the huge difference between the past and the present. After all, it took a long time to adapt to it again.
Now, Spider-Man has been away from New York for about a year and a half. When he sets foot on this land again, all the past events come to his mind.
He thought of the Thai restaurant he often visited with Aunt Mei, where the food was sometimes too soft and sometimes not cooked enough. However, the restaurant staff always gave them free meals or small gifts because of Aunt Mei's charm.
Thinking back on this, Parker felt both embarrassed and warm. Those ordinary times spent with Aunt May have now become invaluable memories. After going through so many hardships and obstacles, returning home, this experience is like a dream, very unreal.
The smoke of war, fierce battles, and the days of patrolling the city planet of Coruscant gradually cast a blurred filter over New York in his memory. He still had an impression of everything here, but now it seemed as if there was a veil between them, making it hazy and indistinguishable, as if for a moment he could not recognize the things that had accompanied him every day.
Take what I see now after arriving at my destination; this feeling becomes even stronger.
"Why does it look... so small?"
"Small?"
"Yeah, you know, or... wait, you may not understand it, anyway... it feels a lot smaller."
"really?"
"Aunt Mei~~"
My aunt smiled, raised her hand and gently patted his cheek, and said, "Come on, Spider-Man, you know I don't understand your thoughts."
"Yeah, yeah, I know." Spider-Man muttered softly, his eyes fixed on his former high school campus, memories of the past flooding back like a tide.
Looking back from this perspective, everything seems so unreal. This is his "old" high school. When he was just a sophomore, he was inexplicably teleported to another galaxy, and then joined the Avengers and plunged into the cruel vortex of interstellar war.
And now, he's back, with the idea of taking care of some things properly, at least that's what he hopes.
"Let's go." Aunt Mei touched him gently with her arm, and the two walked towards the campus side by side.
They walked through the campus of Midtown Tech and went straight to the main building, entering through the front door. The security guard at the door routinely asked about their purpose, and after learning that they had an appointment with the principal, Parker took out his old school ID card and passed through smoothly.
It didn't take them long to get to the principal's office. Fortunately, it was during class time, and the corridor was empty. The only sounds were the lectures and discussions from the classrooms, interweaving into a background music.
Time passed quietly, and Aunt May and Spider-Man Parker walked out of the principal's office. Spider-Man shook hands with Principal Morita and said goodbye. Then, Principal Morita handed him a package. The two sides said goodbye without saying anything more.
"How is it, how does it feel?"
Spider-Man turned to look at Aunt May, his face full of confusion: "What's going on?"
Aunt Mei's eyes fell on the package in his hand and she gave him a meaningful look.
The boy subconsciously looked down at the package, then looked up at his aunt, his eyes full of confusion.
"What are you thinking? Excited, happy, or disappointed?"
"Disappointed?" Spider-Man repeated in confusion, his face blank.
"Didn't you say you wanted to come back here to take a look?" Aunt Mei said as she pointed at the surrounding campus, her eyes full of concern.
"Well..." He hesitated for a moment and replied casually, "I think..."
Aunt May remained silent. Gradually, the smile on her face faded and tears welled up in her eyes. Spider-Man was quick to notice something was wrong and looked up, only to see his aunt's face trembling slightly.
"Aunt Mei?" He called worriedly, reaching out and gently placing his hand on his aunt's shoulder, "Are you okay?"
Aunt Mei took a deep breath, her body trembled slightly, and she quickly raised her hand to wipe away her tears.
"It's okay. I'm sorry," she said softly, choking a little. "It's just that seeing you like this, my heart..."
Spider-Man said nothing more, waiting quietly for his aunt to continue. His intuition told him that his aunt had a lot more to say.
"I look at you," Aunt Mei raised her hand and gently stroked his cheek, her eyes gentle and complicated, "I can still see the little boy who was raised by Ben and me, but the next second, I clearly see an adult man who has experienced many vicissitudes of life."
Spider-Man raised the corners of his mouth slightly, revealing a faint smile, and tried to comfort his aunt: "Aunt May, I'm only sixteen years old, and I'll be seventeen soon."
"No sixteen-year-old would go through what you've gone through." Aunt May retorted softly, her voice full of heartache. Spider-Man knew that he had no way to refute what his aunt said.
Aunt May's voice trembled slightly, and this subtle change was like a blunt knife, cutting Spider-Man's heart.
"I look at you," Aunt Mei's voice became deeper and deeper, "and from your eyes, I see suffering far beyond what you should endure at your age."
I haven’t finished speaking yet…
"Spider-Man?"
After a moment, Spider-Man instantly recognized the voice.
Aunt May took a step back and the boy turned around, seeing a familiar face, a bright smile instantly spread across the New Yorker's face.
"Hey, Ned," Spider-Man said softly, his voice trembling slightly and almost choking at the sight of his old friend.
Without waiting for the other party to react, Spider-Man walked straight towards Ned, and Ned also quickly walked forward. The two hugged each other tightly, as if they wanted to integrate all the longing after separation into this hug.
Chubby Ned Leeds never expected that Spider-Man would easily lift him up in a hug. In an instant, he felt the ground beneath his feet disappear. A second later, he was put back on the ground. Spider-Man took a step back and smiled brightly at Ned's face.
"Ned." Aunt May came from behind with a kind smile on her face and gave Ned a hug. "It's great to see you again."
"Yeah." Ned smiled and shook himself, turning to face his best friend, his eyes full of surprise, "Spider-Man."
"Yeah, it's still me," Spider-Man joked, causing his friend to laugh once again.
"Where on earth have you been?" Liz blurted out anxiously, "Why did you disappear so suddenly?"
Spider-Man sighed, rubbed the back of his head with his hand, and said, "So many things happened, and those things took me away for a long time."
"What happened?"
"Spider-Man?"
A new voice was heard, and everyone looked in the direction of the voice, only to see a group of students standing there with surprised faces, most of whom were his old classmates at Decathlon.
"Hey, everyone!" Spider-Man smiled and waved hello.
In an instant, the classmates surrounded him like a tide, and the boy was a little overwhelmed by this sudden enthusiasm.
Various problems came from all directions.
"When did you come back?!"
"Where the hell have you been?!"
"Have you been kidnapped?! I bet you were kidnapped."
"Enjoy your moment of fame, Peter Parker."
"Shut up, Flash."
"Everyone, listen to me!" Spider-Man raised his voice, trying to drown out the noise of the crowd. He was really tired from being bombarded with so many questions. He unconsciously used his superpowers to buy himself some space. "Give me some time, let me speak slowly."
Some people were shocked by the power he displayed. They could never imagine that Spider-Man, who usually looked skinny and weak, had such abilities.
At this moment, everyone looked closely and found that Spider-Man seemed to be much taller than before. In the eyes of the girls, his body became stronger and his muscles became more developed.
"Look, I'm really happy to see you all, but I can't stay long," he said apologetically. "I'm here to pick up some stuff from school. I have a couple of tutors helping me catch up on some of the work I've missed, and there's a lot more to do."
"So you're going back to school?" Ned asked expectantly, with a gleam of hope in his eyes.
Hearing this, Spider-Man did not answer immediately, but fell into deep thought. The others were keenly aware of his silence.
"Spider-Man?" Michelle Jones asked tentatively, her eyes full of concern.
He glanced at Michelle, then turned to Ned with a slightly bitter smile on his face.
"I was hoping to come back, but I really can't." Spider-Man raised the package in his hand, revealing the side marked "GED". "Under the current circumstances, I can only take this path."
"GED? But this test is usually taken several years later." Betty Brant said at this time, with confusion in her eyes.
"Why did you do this?" Flash Thompson asked with annoyance on his face, with a hint of confusion in his tone.
"It's a long story."
"What happened to you?" Michelle demanded. "Were you kidnapped, or something, or--"
Spider-Man smiled, shook his head, and said, "No, that's not the case at all. I've been busy... too many other things going on."
"Oh, like what?" Flash asked with a hint of challenge, his eyes full of curiosity.
"Lightning, that's enough." Liz Thompson rolled her eyes at him and said, somewhat dissatisfied with his questioning.
Spider-Man was about to open his mouth to respond when he suddenly noticed something strange behind the others. Everyone noticed it too and turned around, stunned into silence.
Suddenly, orange sparks appeared in the air. They spun rapidly, quickly forming a circle, and then connected at both ends. In the blink of an eye, several people walked out of the circle of light, and the space seemed to be filled with this sudden change.
The teenagers in the corridor, except Spider-Man, were all shocked when they saw Captain America, Doctor Strange, and two "human" girls with strange tattoos on their faces walking out of the portal.
"I knew I'd find you here, Spider-Man." Steve's lips curled up into a smile as he greeted him, "Ms. Parker."
"Mr. Rogers." Aunt May responded with a smile, a hint of affection in her tone.
"Oh, are these your friends, Spider-Man?" the girl with white markings on her face asked with a smile, her eyes full of curiosity.
"Yes, they are all my old classmates." Spider-Man confirmed, then looked at the two girls, "When did you two get here?"
"We just got here a short time ago." The girl with the tattoo on her nose puffed up her cheeks and said, "You promised to show us around your house, remember?"
Spider-Man blinked, then remembered, and said quickly, "Is it today? Oh, I'm so sorry, girls. I have to accompany my aunt to do this first."
