Marvel crosses Star Wars, and everyone attacks the galaxy
Chapter 93 Who is she?
Hawkeye looked through some documents and leaned back in his chair with a tired sigh. On the side, Iron Man was eating shawarma in one hand and a data pad in the other.
The two men were silent, doing their own things, until Hank Pym arrived with an angry face.
Hank walked in and asked expressionlessly, "Would you mind telling me what you two are doing?"
Iron Man glanced at Hank and said nonchalantly, "Looking at some important documents, looking for the Avengers and everyone."
"What do you mean?"
Hawkeye sensed the tension between the two and quickly spoke before Iron Man: "We are looking for our teammates and newcomers."
"Newcomers?" Hank repeated in confusion. "Why are you looking for newcomers? Shouldn't your most important thing now be to find those missing people?"
Iron Man said calmly: "He just said that we are doing both. Besides, finding new members for the Avengers is something I have always wanted to do. It's just... well, their disappearance forced me to do it now."
Hawkeye also said firmly: "Listen, Hank, we not only have the responsibility to find the other members of the Avengers, but also the responsibility to keep the Avengers alive. The earth is now short-handed, we must pick up the pieces and form a new team to ensure the safety of the planet."
Hank wanted to refute, although he was reluctant to admit it, but Pym understood their thinking. After all, at a certain point in his life, he also performed missions on behalf of the entire Earth to ensure the safety of the whole world. In fact, although SHIELD was infiltrated by Hydra, he still believed in the Avengers' determination to protect the Earth, which was the main reason why he was willing to compromise and let his daughter and apprentice join them.
So, he kind of regretted asking this question.
"Who are they now?"
Hawkeye and Iron Man stopped what they were doing and looked up at the old inventor/hero, then at each other.
Iron Man asked confusedly, "What?"
Hank said unhappily, "Who are they? Who did you recruit?"
Iron Man handed the data pad in his hand to Hank without saying a word.
Pym took it from Iron Man and looked over the new recruits he had made so far.
"Spider-Man?" Hank muttered to himself, "Is this a joke on me, Ant-Man?"
Iron Man and Hawkeye grinned at Hank's words.
Iron Man then said, "No it's not, I've been keeping an eye on this guy since I first heard about him a few months ago. This kid has great skills and potential."
Hank frowned. “Kid? What are we talking about here, 20? 19?”
"15."
"Fifteen?!" Hank exclaimed. "What were you thinking, Stark?! Why in God's name would you choose a high school student?!"
"You should take a look at his information first." Iron Man said confidently.
Hank stared at the billionaire for a moment before glancing down at the information he had compiled, and what he saw was not disappointing to say the least.
"The ribbon... has a super-strong tensile strength. Did you give it to him?"
Iron Man said with some pride: "He made it himself. This kid is a natural little genius. He made a spider web shooter by himself."
Hank couldn't deny that he was impressed by the fifteen-year-old Spider-Man. A fifteen-year-old could do this?
Hank looked up and said, "He's still a kid, though."
"Yes, a kid who can stop a bus with his bare hands," Iron Man pointed out, "a kid who chooses to do so of his own accord, without anyone instigating him to do so. Imagine what would happen if we taught him how to avoid the mistakes we made? I can't believe it!"
Hank stared at Iron Man for a while, and he saw the heaviness and fatigue in the eyes of this billionaire man. He could also feel this fatigue himself.
Sighing, Hank decided to put aside the question about Spider-Man's age and move on to the next person. The first word he found was the person's occupation.
"Lawyers?" Hank called out. "Who do you choose, Stark?"
"He becomes a lawyer just for personal interest, that's all." Iron Man said lightly
Hank laughed in anger, shook his head, and read the document carefully, his expression becoming more serious.
He asked: "He is blind? How can he fight?"
Iron Man motioned for him to continue reading, and Hank patiently flipped through the pages, discovering that this lawyer had extremely strong hearing, smell, touch, and taste.
"The Devil of Hell's Kitchen?" Hank mused. "That's a pretty apt nickname."
Hawkeye said excitedly: "Of course, Matt took on several thugs and the big villain named Kingpin alone, which was very good!"
"So that's it so far? Just these two?"
Iron Man nodded, "Yeah, the only two people I've come into contact with. There are a few others in Manhattan that I've always wanted to meet."
Hawkeye handed the information in his hand to Hank and added: "Plus some people scattered around the world."
Hank flipped through several files, taking a few seconds to scan each one.
"Boss."
The three men looked up at Friday.
"I just received a letter from Colonel Fury."
"what did he say?"
"Let me in, Stark, I need to talk to you."
Everyone present was stunned for a moment, because they had not contacted Nick Fury since the disappearance of the nine Avengers.
Tony pressed the remote control to let the former director of SHIELD in. Nick Fury was still wearing a windbreaker and an eye mask.
"Hey, Nick." Iron Man greeted lazily. "Glad you finally came-"
Fury ignored Iron Man's attitude and asked, "The Avengers are missing? I know exactly what you're thinking, Stark. You think I've done nothing about this?"
Iron Man shrugged and said, "That's something only you know."
Fury rolled his eyes at Iron Man's typical banter before looking at Hawkeye and nodding at him.
Then he turned to Hank and the two of them stared.
Iron Man couldn't help but sarcastically ask, "So, what did you want to say in your busy schedule to come here? Can you find our wayward teammate?"
Fury simply shook his head, mentally berating himself for not being able to find the missing hero.
Although Iron Man had been arguing with Fury, he actually had great hope in his heart that Fury could bring good news to his teammates. But until Fury finished speaking, he felt that his hopes were shattered and he could not hide the disappointment on his face.
Hawkeye also asked: "Then why did you come here?"
"I found some things that might surprise you," Fury said.
The three of them stared at the former director in confusion.
Iron Man said impatiently: "Nick, stop keeping us in suspense."
"As it stands now, I have another potential new candidate who wants to state her expertise in person."
"Oh, then show it to me?" Hawkeye said.
"She's not here now."
Iron Man asked loudly: "Can you tell me who she is in one go?"
Fury stared at Iron Man, looking between him, Hawkeye, and Hank.
"An important person."
