Today, the competition system for the League of Legends Summer Season has been announced.

Every team is holding a mobilization meeting for the summer season on the newly announced competition system.

This time, the summer regular season is divided into four stages.

The first stage is the draw and grouping stage.

All sixteen teams will be divided into four groups.

The top four teams in the spring season will join four groups as home teams.

According to the home team's avoidance principle, the top four teams in the spring season will not meet in the group stage.

Then the remaining twelve teams drew lots again and joined four groups: A, B, C, and D.

Through parallel grouping, it is ensured that there are four teams in each group.

After the grouping is completed, it will be the second stage of the summer season, the group stage.

The group stage adopted a fearless draft model.

The four groups will determine their rankings through a double round-robin BO3 match.

The last two teams from each group will enter Group B, and all other teams will enter Group A.

The so-called Fearless Draft mode is a new competition mode that has recently emerged.

Because many League of Legends fans think that professional players always play the same few heroes in competitions, which is relatively uninteresting.

Therefore, this new mode was added to the group stage of the summer season.

This mode refers to the situation in which, in a BO3 match, when the second or third game is played, the team will complete the game in the same series.

All heroes that have been used will not be able to be selected or used after this game.

The opposing team is not subject to this rule.

This means that if you use a hero in the first game, you cannot use it in the second or third game.

This increases the diversity of the game lineup and gives the audience a better viewing experience.

It also increases the strategy and uncertainty of the game, which requires the team coach to be more cautious in choosing the players' heroes.

And it is possible to flexibly adjust the game lineup during the game.

However, this fearless draft mode will put a great test on the hero pool of professional players.

Once you get to the end, there may be a situation where there are no heroes available.

Sometimes, thirty heroes are used in one game.

There will not be a situation like in the spring season where a player uses the same hero in bo3 or even bo5.

After the group stage, we entered the third stage of the summer season.

That is the group stage.

The group stage will adopt the competitive draft model, which is the same model used in the spring season.

There won't be a rule where you can't choose the same hero in a game.

After all, the Fearless Draft mode is currently only added to the summer season as a trial product.

As for the specific effects and responses, we will have to wait until the end of the game to find out.

Therefore, the official League of Legends did not directly change all the games to the Fearless Draft mode.

The intra-group matches will be played in a single round-robin bo3 format in Group A and Group B respectively.

The last three teams in Group B will directly end all their games this year and prepare for next year's spring season.

The remaining teams will have the opportunity to continue their journey to the competition.

The top seven teams in Group A will directly secure a spot in the playoffs.

The top two will get a chance to revive.

The remaining six teams in the middle rankings will enter the final stage of the regular season.

The last stage of the regular season is the qualifying round.

The qualifying round will adopt the competitive draft model just like the group stage.

In the BO5 single-elimination format, six teams compete against each other in pairs.

Finally competing for the last three tickets to the playoffs.

Finally, these ten teams will enter the playoffs and make the final push for the Silver Dragon Cup.

The playoff format is a group bubble match.

The playoffs will still use the competitive draft competition format.

However, the playoff matches are bo5.

It is divided into two halves: upper and lower.

The first group in the upper half is the match between the ninth and eighth place teams.

Then the winning team will compete against the fifth-place team.

The winner will then challenge the fourth-place team.

The final winner will compete with the first-place team for a spot.

In the lower half, the tenth and seventh ranked teams started the first game.

Among the two teams, the winning team can continue to compete with the sixth-placed team.

The winners of the two teams will then compete against the third-place team.

The qualified team will have the right to compete with the second-place team for a spot.

At this point in the competition, it entered the semi-final stage.

The four teams in this stage will be divided into two groups: the winner group and the loser group.

In the match between the first and second place teams and the other two qualifying teams.

The winners of the two groups will directly enter the winner group, and the losing teams will not be eliminated directly, but will enter the loser group.

The winners will directly advance to a two-on-two match.

The loser group also continued to compete in pairs.

The winner of the upper group will directly advance to the finals of the summer season.

Finally, the losing team from the winner group and the winning team from the loser group will compete for the last spot in the finals.

The two teams will launch the final charge for the Silver Dragon Cup.

The winning team will be crowned the League of Legends Summer Championship.

Of course, in addition to all these games, at the opening of the League of Legends Summer Regular Season.
