Hogwarts lazy snake
Chapter 206 Horn's Method
Before Ginny and Neville could react, she rushed into a cubicle like a gust of wind and closed the door with a bang. The sound echoed in the bathroom, making Ginny and Neville's eardrums hurt.
Ginny and Neville looked at each other, they hadn't expected Myrtle's reaction to be so violent.
"What should I do? She seems very scared."
Neville said with some worry, his brows furrowed, his eyes fixed on the closed compartment door, his hands rubbing the corners of his robes nervously.
Ginny frowned and said with a firm look in her eyes: "We must talk to her. This may be our only clue." As she spoke, she took a deep breath, as if to cheer herself up, and then slowly walked towards the compartment.
Ginny walked to the cubicle door and knocked gently. Her movements were very gentle, as if she was afraid to disturb something fragile. "Myrtle, we know this may be scary for you, but the school may be in danger again. We need your help."
There was no response from the cubicle, only the faint sound of Myrtle sobbing.
The sound seemed to come from deep darkness, full of fear and sadness, which was heartbreaking, and kept echoing in the bathroom.
Ginny and Neville were waiting anxiously outside the door, their eyes full of expectation, hoping that Myrtle could muster up the courage to face the past.
However, as Myrtle cried, the water in the toilet began to churn restlessly, as if stirred by an invisible hand.
The water continued to rise, and soon it overflowed the edge of the toilet and began to flow out of the cubicle. The water was icy cold and had a gloomy aura. Wherever it went, the ground became extremely slippery.
Ginny and Neville looked at this scene in surprise. Neville took a small step back unconsciously, his eyes widened: "This... What's going on?"
"I don't know, but it's definitely related to Myrtle." Ginny began to knock on the door: "Myrtle, we are here to help you. We want to find out the real murderer who killed you and make sure there won't be another victim in Hogwarts."
"Myrtle, you've heard that the guy in the secret room has come out, and several victims have also appeared." Neville also said.
Ginny and Neville's cries echoed in the damp, cold bathroom, however, there was no response from inside the cubicle except Myrtle's sobs and the spreading water, which had already submerged their feet and began to flow out of the bathroom.
Suddenly, Myrtle's crying scream came from the compartment: "You don't understand! That is not a force you can fight against! It will kill you all! It's terrible." Her voice echoed in the small space, full of despair.
Ginny held her wand tightly and raised her voice, saying, "Myrtle, we can't just sit there and do nothing. If we retreat now, more people will suffer the same misfortune as you did. We have friends and we have courage, and we can definitely find a way to stop it."
Neville also said anxiously: "Yes, Myrtle. We have found some clues, maybe you are the key. As long as you tell us what happened back then, we will be closer to the truth."
At the same time, on the other side, Ron also came to the school infirmary.
Ron rushed into the school infirmary, holding the book he found in the library tightly in his arms. His forehead was covered with sweat and his hair was a little messy.
Hermione was sitting on the bed, looking at a greeting card. Seeing Ron's flustered look, Hermione frowned: "Ron, why are you so flustered? What happened?"
Ron didn't bother to wipe the sweat off his face. He hurried to Hermione's side, put the book on the table beside him, and said with a gasp, "Hermione, we have a major discovery. Ginny and Neville found clues related to Myrtle. This Myrtle may have a lot to do with the Chamber of Secrets incident."
Hermione's eyes lit up, and she immediately put down the information in her hand and picked up the book: "Really? Tell me, what did they find?"
Ron told Hermione about Ginny and Neville's plan to go to the bathroom to find Myrtle, and also mentioned the records they found in the library about Myrtle's name appearing in the Chamber of Secrets incident.
Hermione nodded as she listened, her mind working rapidly. "So, Myrtle is indeed a key figure. It should be the monster that came out of the Chamber of Secrets who killed Myrtle, and Hagrid is involved."
At this point Hermione pointed to another wise man, Rubeus Hagrid, in the newspaper.
Ron's brows suddenly furrowed, as if he remembered something important. A hint of realization flashed in his eyes. "Hermione, I just remembered that Hagrid seemed to have mentioned something that happened eleven years ago. His expression was very strange at the time, as if he knew some unspeakable secret, and he was very secretive when he mentioned it, as if he didn't want us to know."
Hermione's eyes lit up, and she asked anxiously, "What did he say specifically? This may be closely related to the Chamber of Secrets incident."
Ron tried to recall: "He mentioned something about Aragog, and said that eleven years ago, Aragog would not have been able to petrify people. I thought it was strange at the time, why did he emphasize this time point eleven years ago? Now it seems that this coincides with the time of the Chamber of Secrets incident we are investigating."
Hermione pondered for a moment, then said, "This is definitely not a coincidence. Hagrid must have something to do with this. We have to find a chance to have a good talk with him."
"Also, I seem to have found this notebook of Riddle's. It seems to have recorded something. After you left yesterday, I opened it and took a look. I found that some words suddenly appeared in it, but they disappeared very quickly."
Hermione said as she picked up the notebook on the bedside table.
Ron took the notebook and opened it to find that it was indeed blank. "No, but Tian Horn told me before that the Kung Fu masters in Daxia also use some seemingly empty books, but they are actually full of Kung Fu secrets. They can only be displayed using some special methods."
Ron took out his wand and pointed it at his notebook: "Flames."
Hearing the spell Ron recited, Hermione immediately snatched the notebook from Ron's hand: "Ron, what are you doing! Are you going to burn it?"
Seeing that there was no flame on the wand but a few wisps of black smoke, Ron blew it helplessly: "Hermione, what are you doing? I just want to see if it works."
"Look at this! Look at you, you big devil! How can you use it like this? If you accidentally burn the notebook, everything will be gone!" Hermione glared at Ron angrily, the reckless guy.
"Isn't this just the reality of what Horn said? Can it work? And I didn't burn it, eh!" Ron put away his wand and explained, and then suddenly saw words appear on the notebook that Hermione had taken away: "Hermione, look, look! There are words on it!"
