Hogwarts lazy snake

Chapter 25 It looks like a dog!

The Sifangyuan Square was quiet.

When the voice came, the first-year students from Slytherin and Gryffindor houses all looked in the direction of the voice.

A lady wearing a black robe, knee pads on her hands and short gray hair appeared in front of everyone.

The most striking thing about her is her pair of yellow eyes, which are as sharp as an eagle's. She exudes a heroic and majestic temperament.

"What are you looking at? Come with me." When the gray-haired lady saw that students from both colleges were looking at her, she waved her hand and motioned for everyone to follow her.

She led everyone to an open space in the courtyard square, where rows of brooms had already been neatly arranged.

"I'm your flight instructor, or flight coach. You can just call me Madam Hooch."

Madam Hooch walked neatly to the rows of broomsticks and called out to the young wizards from the two academies, "Everyone, get a broomstick and stand by. Quick, quick!"

Upon hearing this, everyone hurriedly trotted towards the unclaimed brooms.

Perhaps it was because of Madam Hooch's appearance and the way she spoke that everyone felt the authority of an adult. Everyone kept silent and followed her orders obediently.

"This broom is so old!" Standing next to Horn was Harry Potter. He looked at the worn and forked broom on the ground and complained to Horn in a low voice.

Horn nodded in agreement. However, he was still a little excited. Although he had tried to use magic to make his clothes fly in the cave before, he still felt it was not very convenient.

Just as everyone had chosen their own flying brooms, Madam Hooch, who was standing in the front, said anxiously: "Now put your right hand on the top of the broom and shout 'get up'."

As she spoke, Madam Hooch stretched out her right hand, placed it on the broom beside her, and shouted, "Get up!" Then the broom flew into her hand.

"Get up?" After Madam Hooch finished her demonstration, the young wizards from the two academies imitated her movements and shouted in unison.

On Horn's side, except for Harry, Draco and Carlotta who were able to get the flying broom into their hands in one go, the others failed to succeed in one go.

The ones who performed the worst were probably Hermione, Neville, and a few other young wizards.

After Horn shouted just now, he found that the broom was not so much able to hear the wizards' calls as it was to rely on the induction of the heart.

So he did not try it a second time immediately, but observed the situation of the people around him first.

"Hermione, and Neville, don't think too much in your mind. Just think in your mind that you want to fly." Horn said as he stretched out his right hand and placed it on his flying broom.

Before he could say "get up", the broom flew into his hands naturally.

He looked at the broom in his hand, waved it at the two of them, and said, "See, it's that simple. Don't be afraid. As long as you want to."

Hermione saw that Horn didn't even say a word before the broom flew into his hands.

So she took a deep breath and calmed herself down. First, she closed her eyes and imagined how she felt when she was on an airplane, recalling her surprise and joy when she first flew on an airplane, as well as several other experiences afterwards.

"Get up!" With Hermione's light shout, this time, Hermione's broomstick no longer rolled on the ground like the previous few times, but flew straight into her hands.

"Oh, my god. I did it, I did it, look, look." Hermione looked at the broom in her hand, excitedly showing her joy to everyone.

Then, everyone's eyes turned to Neville, the only one who had not succeeded yet.

"Neville, I believe you can do it." Hermione encouraged Neville, holding up the flying broom she had just got.

"Hey, little fatty, don't hesitate, come on." Carlotta among the crowd seemed unable to stand Neville's indecision. After Hermione finished speaking, she immediately spoke, signaling Neville to be braver.

"Yes, Neville, you can do it!"

"Neville, don't be afraid, I believe in you."

Ron and Harry also started to encourage Neville one after another.

Seeing everyone encouraging him like this, Neville's fear seemed to dissipate a lot.

He stretched out his right hand and shouted to the flying broom, "Get up." However, he still seemed a little scared. After shouting, he closed his eyes and dared not look.

1 second, 2 seconds...Neville didn't feel the touch of the broomstick on his hand, and he felt a little disappointed. He slowly prepared to open his eyes.

"'Cool! Neville, I told you you could do it."

"Little Fatty, this is what a man should be like!"

"Neville, look! You did it."

Neville, who was originally feeling very lost, immediately opened his eyes when he heard the shouts, and then saw his flying broom slowly rising and flying towards his hands.

Although it flew slowly, it finally flew into Neville's hands. Neville looked at the broom in his hand, his eyes moist and slightly red.

"Thank you!" Neville hugged his broom tightly and nodded to everyone.

"Hey, if you're a man, don't say that." Carlotta, who was always carefree, looked at Neville who was thanking her and others, and waved her hand.

As the last person successfully picked up his or her broom, Madam Hooch began to demonstrate how to ride this ugly-looking broom.

She shuttled among the crowd, teaching the little wizards how to hold the broom handle, how to place their legs, how much to bend their bodies, and constantly correcting the movements of each little wizard.

Even Draco and Horn were told off several times, and although Hermione and Neville had a hard time picking up the brooms, they did it very properly.

As for Carlotta and Harry, they were the ones who were praised because they performed the movements very well the first time.

But what surprised Horn was Ron, because Ron only had some minor irregularities the first time, really just a little bit, but he was praised the second time.

After correcting the movements of all the little wizards, Madam Hooch held her own flying broom, stood in front of everyone and shouted loudly: "Push off the ground with your feet, lean forward, and get off the ground!"

Following Madam Hooch's guidance, the young wizards from the two academies left the ground one after another.

"Good, very beautiful!" Madam Hooch continued, "Listen to the whistle, press your body down, and land again!"

"Ready, go..."

But before Madam Hooch put the whistle in her mouth and prepared to blow it, Neville's memory crystal ball fell out of his pocket.

Neville reacted immediately and tried to reach out to grab the crystal ball that was about to fall to the ground, but he lost his balance and his feet fell to the ground, then he kicked out of instinct.

"Ah~"

Neville didn't have time to grab the crystal ball or hold on to the broomstick. He and the broomstick were thrown straight into the clouds like an arrow.

"Child, come back! Be careful and don't let go."

When Mrs. Huo Qi saw this, she hurriedly gave instructions loudly.

But the result was obvious, Neville didn't seem to hear the flight instructor's instructions.

My eyes, which had been closed due to fear, slowly opened after hearing some sounds. I found myself a hundred meters high in the air, and the figures on the ground were as small as ants.

It would not matter if he did not open his eyes, but once he opened them he saw that he was high in the sky and still rising. Neville's hands suddenly went limp and he could not hold the broom handle for a moment, and with a whoosh he began to fall.

Fortunately, when Neville's body just left the flying broom, he saw two black shadows rushing towards him quickly.

A figure quickly flew behind Neville and grabbed Neville's hood.

Another figure also grabbed the unmanned flying broom that was flying away.

Horn held Neville's broom in one hand and the wooden handle of his own broom with the other. Although he was still falling, his speed had slowed down because of Harry pulling at Neville's clothes.

"Come on, Neville, get on. These brooms we ride can't bear the weight of two people. We will all fall down. I believe you can do it."

Horn tried hard to press the flying broom to catch up with the two people, and handed the broom back to Neville, speaking quickly.

Putting the broom into Neville's arms, Horn turned his head and shouted to Harry who was holding Neville: "Let go!"

This was the best solution Horn could think of. And this was the magical wizarding world, as long as the broken bones were not shattered, basically all the broken bones could be recovered, and Horn also saw that the branches on Harry's broom were beginning to fall apart.

Harry watched as he got closer to the ground, then shouted to Neville below him, "Are you ready? I'm letting go."

Neville was very scared at first, but when he saw his two friends risking their lives to save him, he convinced himself not to be afraid no matter how scared he was.

Finally, at Neville's suggestion, Harry let go.

When the three were still fifty meters from the ground, Neville finally managed to control his broom. The three flew towards the ground together. Although they didn't want to have any accidents, Horn's words still hit the mark.

Because the brooms in the school were too old, the branches of Harry's broom had completely fallen off after the previous tossing, leaving only a wooden handle.

Neville's broomstick was almost falling apart.

Ah ~

Both of them began to fall without any ability to maneuver.

Without thinking, Horn immediately loosened his grip on the wooden handle of the flying broom, holding Neville in his left hand and Harry in his right hand.

Without the control of his hands, Horn's broomstick was somewhat out of control.

In order to control the speed of descent, Horn slowly straightened his body which was originally bent forward. However, when he was about ten meters away from the ground, he found that the branches of his flying broom were also beginning to spread out, and he still felt that it was not working.

Horn immediately thought of the encounter flight in the Great Xia Dragon Kingdom, gritted his teeth, and tried his best. As Horn carried Harry and the other two people and fell rapidly, Horn was now standing on the flying broom with only the wooden handle left, with his legs slightly bent.

Madam Hooch on the ground estimated where Horn and the other two had fallen, then dispersed the little wizards on that piece of land and waved her wand to soften the grass.

The three of them finally landed on the patch of grass that had been softened by Madam Hooch's magic.

At the same time, there was a burst of applause all around, but Horn thought that Harry and Neville were not in the mood to listen to it, because the two little lions were covering their legs and screaming.

"Mr. Potter, Mr. Longbottom, Mr. Nicholas, are you okay?!" Madam Hooch hurried over.

"I don't think I'm wrong, Madam Hooch, but I thought you'd go and see them both."

Horn touched himself, feeling it, and pointed to Madam Hooch, at Harry and Neville who were hugging their legs on the ground.

So there is good news and bad news.

The good news was that Horn had almost no injuries, and Neville and Harry had no broken arms, except for the broomstick.

The bad news was that although Neville and Harry did not injure their arms, they had broken legs and were both admitted to the school hospital.

Professor Hooch asked Ron, Hermione, and two young Gryffindor wizards who were concerned about Harry to help them, while Neville and Harry went to find Madam Pomfrey. When they left, they set some flight restrictions for the young wizards who stayed behind.

With the example of Harry and Neville, in the following classes, the students from both colleges were kept at a flying altitude of about five meters from the ground by Madam Hooch.

Horn also checked again and again when Mrs. Huo Qi left, and found that except for the accidental scratch on the palm, which was just red but not bleeding, there was indeed no problem, so he did not need to go to the school infirmary.

But because Horn's broomstick had become a pile of debris and was beyond repair, and he had no spare broomstick, he could only wait and see for the next course.

After letting Draco and Carlotta continue to practice flying their brooms, Horn sat next to a big tree and watched the people from the two colleges in front of him flying low on their brooms over the grass.

For some reason, when Horn saw this scene, only one thought suddenly flashed through his mind: It looks like a dog lying down.
