Hogwarts lazy snake
Chapter 27: Elves and Cats
I suddenly heard a voice and knew who it was before I saw it.
I guess no one else has such a unique speaking pattern except Ron's two twin brothers.
Two wizards of the same height, with the same short red hair, even the freckles on their faces are almost identical, and they are dressed in the same clothes. They are both from Gryffindor.
"It turns out that Peeves' nemesis is..."
One of the Weasleys saw Horn and pointed at him in surprise, with extremely exaggerated body movements.
"Our stupid O'Dodo Ron's friend!"
The other Weasley continued his other brother's words in an exaggerated manner.
Horn looked at the twin brothers whom he had briefly met on the Hogwarts Express, and sized up the humorous and funny twins.

The twins looked at each other and saw that Horn didn't say anything but was looking at them. They thought that the other party might not be able to recognize who was who, so they started to make jokes as usual.
"I remember your name is Horn Nicholas, right?!"
"I'm Fred, Ron's brother, hello."
One of the Weasleys, calling himself Fred, introduced himself to Horn.
"You should remember us, right? We met once on the express train?"
"It doesn't matter if you don't remember. Just get to know me again. I'm George."
The other Weasley extended his hand, leaned forward and bowed slightly, introducing himself in a gentle voice.
"Yes, I am Horn, and you are George!" Horn nodded in response, pointed one hand at Weasley who called himself Fred, pointed the other hand at Weasley who called himself George, and continued with a smile: "You are Fred!"
"Oh, Mr. Nicholas, didn't we just introduce ourselves? I'm Fred."
"Yes, I am George. Did Horn hear it wrong just now?"
George and Fred looked at each other. Although he didn't know whether the other had really recognized him or was lying to him, he still insisted on what he had just said.
Horn pointed at Peeves, who was lying on the ground, unable to move and covered in ink stains, and said with a smile: "The effect of the talisman is about to end. Do you want to try it too?"
Just now, Horn discovered that the talisman that was originally attached to the ghost seemed to be burned by an unknown fire from the tail, gradually turning into ashes.
"Oh, no. You despicable Slytherin!" Peeves, who was lying on the ground, shouted loudly in a shrill voice when he heard this.
In fact, Peeves had just discovered that he could speak and felt that his body was showing some signs of movement, so he was ready to transform into an illusory ghost and escape when he was fully able to move.
As a result, he was discovered by Horn while lying down pretending to be dead.
"Oh, let's hurry up, Fred." Hearing Horn's words, George hurriedly took out a round object from his pocket that looked like a grass ball and was filled with liquid.
"That's right, you cunning and annoying butt ghost, look at our new invention, the super stinky dung egg!"
Fred beside him also hurriedly took out a ball from his pocket that was the same as the one in George's hand.
"No! No, no! George, Fred, wait a moment, I have to go first. I have something to do in the principal's office."
When Horn saw the sphere and heard what Fred said, he immediately spoke up to stop the movement, jogging away as he spoke.
meow~
As Horn gently turned the corner of the slightly dark corridor, an unusual figure instantly caught his attention.
It was a Maine Coon cat, so thin that it was almost skin and bones, and its fur had lost its luster and looked gray and messy.
However, the most eye-catching thing is its pair of eyes that seem to be inlaid with two red ambers, flashing a light that is both mysterious and slightly vigilant.
The cat was squatting quietly in the middle of the aisle, looking at Horn who had just appeared with an almost solemn attitude, as if it was the guardian of this territory.
"Hi, Mrs. Norris!"
Horn's voice was full of tenderness and surprise.
He recognized the little creature from the one that had snuggled up at Filch's feet at the Matriculation Feast.
From the small space pocket he carried with him, Horn carefully took out a bag of rations prepared for his eagle owl, Carrot.
These selected dried meats exude an enticing aroma, and he specially selected them for the healthiness and taste of radishes.
But at this moment, he handed one of them to Mrs. Norris without hesitation.
"This is my Radish... um... Although my Radish is an eagle owl, he has a special liking for these dried meats."
As Horn explained, he slowly walked towards Mrs. Norris, crouched down, trying to make his movements not look too abrupt or threatening, and then gently placed the jerky in his hand on the ground.
"Eat it, it's okay."
Horn said in a gentle tone, taking a few steps back to give Mrs. Norris enough space.
He knew that many small animals would feel scared and uneasy when facing strangers, so he decided to give them enough respect and distance.
Mrs. Norris first stared at Horn warily, then quickly turned her gaze to the piece of jerky on the ground.
Its eyes revealed a complex emotion: a desire for food and fear of the unknown. After looking back and forth several times, hunger finally overcame caution.
meow~
It couldn't help but let out a soft meow - the sound sounded like both a thank you and an expression of some indescribable emotion.
Then, it lowered its head and began to eat the hard-earned piece of jerky in big mouthfuls.
Seeing Mrs. Norris eating with relish, Horn felt extremely relieved and satisfied.
Then Horn took out a few pieces of dried meat from his space pocket and placed them at his feet as a backup, and said goodbye softly: "When you're done, little kitty, there's more here. I have something to do, so I'll leave first. Goodbye, Mrs. Loris!"
After saying that, he turned and left the aisle, leaving behind a warm back and a Maine Coon cat enjoying delicious food.
On the way out, Horn couldn't help but think of his own eagle owl, Carrot.
It must be an owl that loves to share.
(?v?v?)
Not long after Horn left, he heard a sharp roar coming from behind.
"who is it?!"
"Who is so abominable? Give these things to Loris!"
"No, Loris, you can't ignore me like this!"
……
After hearing some of the remarks, Horn complained bitterly about the Hogwarts gatekeeper in his heart.
"This Filch, how dare you say such things."
"If those people from the Animal Association in Mahua World knew about this, he wouldn't be fined, but his crotch would be pierced!"
It's a pity that there is no SPCA in the wizarding world. Oh no, it seems that the Ministry of Magic has a Department for the Control of Magical Creatures.
Horn walked towards the principal's office while thinking.
I don't know how long it took, but I came to a passage at the top of the floor through the spiral staircase. There were several old and simple windows on the wall of the passage.
Coming here, Horn felt like complaining a bit. If it weren't for the portrait hanging on the wall of the spiral staircase telling him how to get up, he would probably have gotten lost in the spiral staircase.
Horn reached the end of the passage by the light coming through the window and the torches hanging on the wall.
At the end was a stone brick wall with a painting-like relief in the center of it, depicting an extremely ugly gargoyle-shaped stone beast.
And this gargoyle seems to be a product of magical alchemy, because he is dozing off and a bubble is coming out of his nose, as if he has life.
slap~
As Horn approached, the bubble coming out of the nose burst with a pop.
"Hmm~Comfortable. Who are you? Please enter the password to enter the principal's office." The dripstone beast on the wall stretched lazily, then asked the little wizard in front of him for the password.
"Hey, open the door, the principal wants to see me. I'm Horn Nicholas."
Horn saw the gargoyles themselves and wondered if he should shout out some magic food to go with the command.
But I had no idea, so I had to wake it up and ask it to open the door.
"You are Horn Nicholas! Come in."
When the gargoyle heard Horn's name, the dead eyes in its eye sockets rolled, and then it jumped to the side, and at the same time a hole appeared in the wall behind it.
Horn looked at the upward spiral staircase inside the opening and walked in.
After walking up, Horn found that it was a bright, beautiful round room. The whole room was divided into two areas, like an attic, and some portraits of people wearing different costumes were hung on the wall of the lower area.
Some of these portraits are sleeping, some are chatting quietly, or doing various things.
Below the camera were tables, cabinets, and two doors filled with instruments that Horn couldn't understand but thought were very impressive. Horn guessed that this was the principal's dormitory or something like that.
The only things he could understand were the tattered Sorting Hat that Horn had seen before placed on one table, and the Phoenix, which he guessed was probably from Dumbledore's family. This animal, which looked a bit like a bird and a chicken, was resting in a bird's nest made of branches on another table.
There's even a fireplace with a roaring fire.
There is a desk in the middle of the upper area. Behind the desk is Dumbledore, the current headmaster of Hogwarts, who is writing something with a quill.
Behind Dumbledore were bookshelves surrounded by bookshelves filled with books.
"Mr. Nicholas, please wait a moment, kid. As a principal, you know, there are a lot of school affairs to deal with."
Dumbledore, still wearing his white robe, looked up through his half-moon glasses and saw Horn coming. He shook his head, waved the quill in his hand, and teased.
"It's okay, Headmaster Dumbledore." Horn looked at the stack of parchment on the table, thinking that it was not easy for the headmaster either.
"Oh, thank you for being considerate of an old man like me. Child, please sit for a while."
Headmaster Dumbledore said this with great joy, his hands moving constantly, and his other hand waving his very simple-looking wand.
At the wave of the wand, a chair appeared in front of the table, just like a sapling growing into a stool.
At this moment, an ancient portrait on the wall suddenly spoke, "Slytherin actually produced such a cute little fellow, I never thought!"
"Oh, beautiful silent spellcasting and transfiguration."
Horn was stunned when he saw this exquisite spellcasting, and he didn't pay attention to what the portrait said, mumbling to himself.
Although Horn himself can cast spells silently, those spells are some of the commonly used daily magic.
What Dumbledore used was one of the most complex magics, Transfiguration, and it was a silent wet method.
He is worthy of being recognized as the White Lord in the wizarding world.
"Thank you for the compliment, kid. You know, as someone who has lived long enough, I must be able to master some magic that is a little bit difficult."
