Hogwarts lazy snake
Chapter 47: Bank robbery.
In the front yard of Hagrid's hut, everyone gathered around the fire, waiting for Horn's lamb chops and carrots to be cooked. The air was filled with the gradually rich aroma of meat, making people salivate.
Hagrid suddenly remembered that he had Tequila Snowman at home, so he said something to the little wizards and prepared to go into the house to get it: "I remembered that there seems to be some delicious Tequila Snowman in the house. I'll get it out. You can have a glass when you are thirsty later."
"Really? Then Hagrid, let me help you!" Harry immediately offered to help after hearing what Hagrid said, thinking that he should be more polite and not just wait to enjoy the food.
"As a guest, and with my Malfoy upbringing, I'm supposed to help. Mr. Hagrid, I'll help you too."
Draco was inexplicably competitive and didn't want to be outdone by Harry, but his education also didn't allow him to not help.
So Harry and Draco, as guests, offered to help with various considerations.
Horn was concentrating on directing Garcia and two house elves to process the remaining mutton and teaching them how to marinate it. He looked serious, and his eyes showed his dedication to food. After all, someone was already helping him, and he was also busy.
Garcia and the other two elves followed Horn's instructions respectfully, carrying out each step meticulously and memorizing the content.
Ron was completely unaware of anything else. His eyes were shining as he stared at the lamb legs being processed and the pot of lamb chops stewing on the fire. His head moved back and forth between the two, as if he was firmly attracted by the food, thinking only about when he could feast on it.
Hermione and Carlotta saw that Harry and Draco had followed Hagrid into the house to get something, so they stayed by the fire and watched the pot of stewed lamb chops. Hermione frowned slightly, smelling the aroma, looking forward to the food, but also maintaining a sense of curiosity about everything around her.
Carlotta looked at the pot calmly, as if she was enjoying this peaceful moment. She suddenly became quiet from the noisy little girl she usually was.
As the two of them were carrying a small bucket of tequila out the door, Harry's eyes were caught by a newspaper on the chair where Hagrid had been sitting before.
Harry's heart moved, he stopped and looked at the newspaper curiously. Draco didn't notice Harry's abnormality at first, he continued to carry the barrel and walked forward a few steps, only to find that Harry didn't catch up.
He looked back in confusion, only to see Harry staring at a newspaper with a focused look. Draco frowned slightly, wondering what Harry was reading so intently.
Harry quickly scanned the newspaper, which read: Daily Prophet: "Latest Report on Gringotts Break-in The investigation into the break-in at Gringotts on July 31st is still ongoing."
"Harry? What happened to Harry Potter?" Draco felt the heavy barrel in his hand, and seeing Harry in a daze, he called out his name. He complained in his heart, "What's so good about a tattered newspaper?"
"Ah...Oh, sorry, Draco." Harry came to his senses and remembered that he was still moving things, so he hurriedly carried the wooden barrel out with Draco.
As soon as Harry put down the barrel, he hurried back to the cabin, picked up the Daily Prophet and started reading.
With the help of magic, the characters in the frames on the newspapers are as vivid and colorful as those on TV.
In the picture frame, a wizard reporter stood at the chaotic door of Gringotts and said excitedly: "It is generally believed that this was done by unknown dark wizards and witches. The goblins of Gringotts reiterated today that nothing was stolen. The underground vault searched by the intruders had actually been emptied earlier that day."
Then the scene turns to a Gringotts goblin, who speaks this afternoon and says: I have no idea what is in the vault, so please do not interfere."
Harry looked at the date of the incident and found that the day the Gringotts break-in occurred was his birthday, and the vault seemed to be the place he and Hagrid had been to.
Harry's heart was filled with strong curiosity, and he undoubtedly read the report again. "The underground vault searched by the intruders had actually been emptied earlier that day."
"If taking that dirty little bag meant emptying it, then Hagrid would have already emptied vault 713. Could that dirty little bag be what the intruder was looking for?"
As Harry thought about this, he picked up the newspaper with the Daily Prophet on it and ran out.
"Hagrid!"
Draco watched Harry suddenly run back into the house, and he became even more confused. He also walked into the house and saw Harry holding the newspaper. Before he could react, Harry ran out while shouting Hagrid, and even Draco didn't notice.
Draco was stunned for a moment, then ran out as well, wondering to himself what Harry had discovered.
When they went outside, everyone in the yard heard Harry's shout and looked over curiously.
Apart from the house-elf who was carefully preparing and scoring the mutton and roasting it, the only one present was Ron, who just glanced at the pot and continued to care only about the meat.
When Horn saw the newspaper that Harry had, he thought to himself, "Here it comes!" An unknown look flashed across his eyes, as if he had expected it.
Harry ran to Hagrid and asked eagerly about what was in the newspaper. Harry's eyes were full of confusion and curiosity, and he held the newspaper tightly in his hands. "Hagrid, do you know anything about the break-in at Gringotts in this newspaper?" Harry asked.
Hagrid looked at Harry holding the newspaper, panicked, and began to talk about other things.
His eyes flickered and an unnatural look appeared on his face. "Oh, that... Harry, there's nothing interesting here, just some boring news." Hagrid said.
But with Harry's inquiring gaze, and Carlotta and Hermione, who were attracted by Harry's loud shout, and Draco, who were curious.
Hagrid became more and more nervous, and subconsciously uttered Nicolas Flamel's name, then immediately covered his mouth and said, "This is a school matter, and has nothing to do with you first-year wizards."
Harry was distressed to see that Hagrid was unwilling to speak out. He frowned and his eyes were full of disappointment.
At this time, Draco ran out and teased Harry, "Hey, Potter, why are you so anxious? Maybe it's just some insignificant things. However, since Nicolas Flamel is mentioned, it will be interesting."
A smug smile appeared on Draco's face. He knew some rumors about Nicolas Flamel and wanted to show off his knowledge in front of everyone.
Harry became even more confused when he heard Draco's words.
He looked at Draco, hoping he could reveal more information, but at the same time he always felt that the name was very familiar.
Hermione and Carlotta also looked at Draco curiously, waiting for him to continue. Hagrid didn't know if he was frightened by Harry, but he really thought that Draco knew something. He looked at him nervously, and the atmosphere in the yard suddenly became tense and full of mystery.
