Chapter 57 Silver Sickle

The arrival of the twins made Horn stop in his tracks. Fred and George both laughed and put their arms around Horn's shoulders.

Fred's face was full of anticipation, and he was the first to ask about the situation: "Little Horn, tell me quickly!"

George quickly picked up Fred's tail and continued, "Were you guys making fireworks or some magic experiment in the Forbidden Forest today?"

Then, his eyes lit up, as if he suddenly remembered something important, "By the way, do you still have the talisman paper you gave me last time?"

Hearing Fred's question, George immediately put aside any professorial punishments in the forbidden forest and got the talisman first.

"Yes, Fred is right." George said, rubbing his hands in a flattering manner, leaning forward slightly, his eyes fixed on Horn.

"You're mainly here for the talisman paper, right?" Horn was amused to see the two of them gossiping before revealing their purpose. He raised his eyebrows slightly, shook his head and said, "Didn't I give you a few last time? What? Have you used them all up?"

Ever since I saw the talisman that could imprison Peeves last time, these two people have been pestering me from time to time, wanting a piece of talisman paper.

So, when I went back to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival last time, I asked my father to go to Chinatown to get some materials to make a stack. This gave five sheets for two people, and this thing is useless in Hogwarts, except for catching Peeves, the mischievous elf.

"You gave us five cards in total. So, we each took one to study how it was made." George said as he stretched out his fingers to count the numbers with a serious look on his face.

He frowned slightly and continued to count the whereabouts of the five pieces of talisman paper: "Then one night when I went to the kitchen to find food, I saw that annoying guy Peeves used another one. Now it's gone."

"Yeah, that's all we have left, so you can just give us a little more." George said and winked at Fred beside him.

Fred, who received the signal, continued with George in sync: "Yeah, that generation you did research on was gone in an instant."

Fred's eyes were also full of desire. He gently patted Horn's shoulder and said, "How about this? Last time we gave you ten silver Sickles, but you confiscated them, little Horn. This time you give me five... No, ten. We will give you one gold galleon directly to make up for the ten silver Sickles you confiscated before. What do you think, little Horn?"

Horn looked at the two of them, feeling a little hesitant. It wasn't that Horn didn't want to give more, but these two guys were sometimes as noisy as Peeves. If he gave less, nothing might happen, but if he gave more, Dumbledore might find him.

At this moment, Ron suddenly stood up.

Ron's eyes widened, he pointed at Fred and George and said loudly, "You must have some more talismans! You took the two talismans Horn gave me for free!"

Ron had an angry look on his face, he crossed his arms over his chest and stamped his feet.

Hermione also frowned slightly, nodded and said, "Yes, I also remember that they asked us for talisman paper. Harry, do you remember?"

Harry touched his forehead, recalled, and said, "Well, I also remember that they exchanged a silver Sickle for a talisman paper." There was a hint of surprise in Harry's eyes. He didn't expect Fred and George to do this.

Carlotta stood quietly by and watched this scene.

She secretly felt lucky that George and the others had asked her and she did not sell the talisman paper. After all, a tool that could deal with Peeves, a ghostly and elusive spirit, was very precious to a young wizard. She knew very well that the existence of the talisman paper was of great significance. With it, she could avoid the harassment of Peeves to a certain extent.

Draco raised his chin and looked at Fred and George with disdain. He thought to himself, these two Weasleys are really stupid. Oh, and Harry and Ron are not as smart as me. Macau can give away something that has never appeared in the wizarding world.

Everyone present knew that the talisman paper had extraordinary effects. It could imprison elusive mischievous elves like Peeves. In the minds of the young wizards at Hogwarts, the existence of this talisman paper was simply a powerful weapon against Peeves.

Everyone knows how precious this talisman paper is and how rare it is.

If Horn hadn't expected George and Fred to act like this, he would have been amused and at a loss for words. He sighed helplessly and said, "You guys are such a headache."

In the end, Horn still sold eight pieces of talisman paper to the two men. During the bargaining process, Horn argued with the two men for a while, and finally Horn lost the battle and lost to the two men.

Of course, Horn also gave Harry, Ron and Hermione another talisman paper for free to replace the one that George and the others bought at a low price.

At the same time, he wanted to take revenge on the fact that the person, who was from Da Xia, had bargained with only two people.

Harry took the talisman, feeling grateful. He secretly thought that he must keep the talisman well in the future, as it might come in handy someday.

Hermione looked at the talisman carefully, her eyes full of curiosity. She wondered how on earth could this talisman be able to understand Peeves, a spirit that was difficult to deal with, by just drawing some patterns on a piece of paper with red ink? She must study it.

Ron wanted to jump for joy, but perhaps thinking of what his two brothers had done for him for free, he immediately retracted his waving hand and said happily, "Great, I won't be afraid of Peeves anymore!"

The Weasley twins saw the talisman Horn gave Ron, looked at each other, and smiled as if they had thought of something at the same time. At the same time, Ron seemed to feel as if something was leaving.

George patted the bag containing the talisman paper and sat on a stool beside him.

George seemed to suddenly remember something and asked, "By the way, Little Horn, we heard a noise near the Forbidden Forest before. What was going on? What were you doing there? Were you making fireworks or conducting some magical experiment?"

Fred also sat down quickly and agreed, looking at Horn, Harry and others with curiosity and said, "Yes, we are all very curious. Tell us about it."

Horn frowned slightly, thought for a moment and then said, "Actually, there's nothing special. We are just testing some new magic items, but they are not mature yet, so I can't say much about the specific situation."

George and Fred looked at each other with disappointment in their eyes, but immediately changed their target.

"My dear brother, you were here too." George immediately sat down next to Ron.

Fred continued to attack separately from George, and continued to say to Horn: "Little Horn, just reveal a little bit, so that we can also broaden our horizons."

And he slapped his chest and swore to the great Merlin: "I swear to Merlin that I won't say anything nonsense."

Horn shook his head helplessly and said, "I really can't tell you. When there is a suitable opportunity in the future, you will naturally know. It is better not to ask about this now."

"Do you really want to know?" Ron looked at his brother's expression. Such a scene was rare.

Since Horn didn't say anything, even if I wanted to show off, I couldn't. But I could still continue to watch my brother begging me.

Although George and Fred were a little frustrated, they knew that Horn would not easily reveal more information. They shrugged and said, "Okay, then we'll wait for a chance to find out later."
