Hogwarts lazy snake

Chapter 88 Forbidden Forest

On the second day of the holiday, the snow had just stopped, and the entire Hogwarts seemed to be wrapped in a silver-white blanket. The mountains in the distance were rolling, and under the cover of white snow, they looked like huge sleeping beasts, with soft and peaceful outlines.

Around Hagrid's cabin, thick snow piled up on the withered grass, like a soft quilt covering the ground. The sunlight shone down, sparkling with crystal light, like countless tiny diamonds dancing.

Horn thought about going to Hagrid to see how the brass longbow he gave him was doing, and to take a walk in the Forbidden Forest at the same time.

Before Horn knocked on Hagrid's door, Fang's cry came from the room. For Fang, Horn's arrival meant that it could eat delicious food.

The door was soon opened, and Hagrid's tall figure appeared at the door, holding the brass longbow in his hand, with an excited smile on his face.

"Hey, Horn! You're here! Come in, come in!" Hagrid greeted Horn enthusiastically, his eyes full of welcome.

Horn walked into the cabin and found Harry and Ron were also in the room.

However, although he did not show any enthusiasm, his expression remained calm.

Harry and Ron looked a little embarrassed when they saw Horn. It was obvious that they didn't expect to meet him here.

Hagrid waved the brass longbow excitedly and said, "Horn, this is a great Christmas gift you gave me! This bow is very powerful. I'm introducing it to Harry and Ron."

"With it, I can better drive away those chattering dark wizards and dangerous creatures in the Forbidden Forest." As he said this, Hagrid made a string-pulling motion, as if he had already shown his skills in the Forbidden Forest.

"That's good. I was afraid that Hagrid might not like it." Horn just nodded slightly. He was glad to see that Hagrid liked it.

His eyes fell on Harry and Ron who were sitting on wooden chairs, and he greeted them in a flat tone: "Harry, Ron."

Harry and Ron looked at each other and responded awkwardly, "Hi, Horn."

Horn had no intention of further improving the relationship with them. In his opinion, they would naturally realize their mistakes in the future.

"Come in and sit down. I like your gift very much." Hagrid made way and poked his furry head into the room.

Before Horn came into the room and sat down, Yaya excitedly circled around him, making expectant noises from time to time.

He smiled, took out a piece of dried meat from his pocket and threw it to Yaya. Yaya happily took the dried meat and ate it with relish.

Horn walked into the room and sat down, as if he suddenly thought of something.

Turning to Hagrid curiously, he asked, "By the way, Hagrid, I came here today because I wanted to see Norbeta. I think I was too busy before and didn't come to see it much. I want to know how it is doing recently."

When Hagrid heard this, his eyes lit up.

"Oh, Norbeta, what a cutie! She's getting more and more beautiful, like an elegant princess. Her scales are shining, and her eyes are bright and moving. She is simply the most beautiful creature in the world."

When Hagrid heard Horn's words, he immediately praised Norbeta crazily, with a look of doting on his face.

At this time, the fire was crackling beside, adding a bit of warmth to the house, which was in sharp contrast to the severe cold outside.

Harry and Ron were used to it.

Compared to Horn's busy weekends, where he only took care of Norberta and visited her once on a certain Friday, the two of them and Hermione would come to Hagrid's place on weekends and ask him to take them to visit Norberta.

So they were not too afraid of the Forbidden Forest. After all, Hagrid was there, and it was not the first time they visited Norberta.

At this moment, Harry seemed a little absent-minded, and his eyes drifted out the window from time to time.

When Horn noticed Harry's expression, he quickly guessed what Harry was thinking.

He probably wanted to go to the Mirror of Erised to see his parents. After all, it was the first time he had seen his parents since he was a child, so his desire to see them again was understandable.

"Then let's go check on Norbeta," Horn said.

Hagrid nodded excitedly. "Okay, I was planning to go to the Forbidden Forest today to try out the brass longbow you gave me, but I didn't expect Harry and Ron to come. But it doesn't matter, we'll go together."

Hagrid said excitedly, as if he couldn't wait to go to the Forbidden Forest to show off his new "toy".

When Harry and Ron heard that they were going to visit Norberta, they felt a little excited.

Although they still didn't know how to face Horn, they temporarily put aside their awkwardness towards Norberta.

"Hagrid, are there really dark wizards in the Forbidden Forest? I've never seen any before." Harry couldn't help but ask.

Hagrid frowned and said seriously, "Yes, Harry. Recently, some guys with bad intentions have appeared in the Forbidden Forest. But with this brass longbow, I have more confidence in protecting everyone."

Ron swallowed and asked nervously, "Will it be dangerous for us to go to the Forbidden Forest? We went there several times before and never encountered any. We shouldn't be so unlucky this time."

Hagrid smiled and comforted him, "Don't worry, I'm here. And we're just going to see Nobeta, we won't go deep into the Forbidden Forest."

Horn looked at their nervous expressions and said nothing. In his opinion, with Hagrid there, there shouldn't be much danger.

"So when do we leave?" Harry asked.

Hagrid thought for a moment and said, "Let's go now! Go early and come back early."

So, they walked out of the cabin and headed towards the forbidden forest. Along the way, the white snow made a creaking sound under their feet, leaving a series of deep footprints.

The cold wind blew, raising snowflakes, like a dream scene.

After entering the forbidden forest, Horn looked calm, but his eyes were scanning the surroundings vigilantly in case any danger suddenly appeared.

After all, Horn didn't know whether the hairless boiled egg was there, or whether some weird creature would jump out.

Harry followed Hagrid closely, walking with an absent-minded look on his face.

Hagrid strode forward with confidence, holding the brass longbow tightly in his hand. Fang ran ahead excitedly, looking back at everyone from time to time, as if urging them to go faster.

"Hagrid, are we really safe from danger?" Harry asked anxiously.

Hagrid laughed and said, "Don't worry, Harry. I'm here and nothing will happen to you."

Soon after they entered the forbidden forest, they saw a big tree. On the branches, several Bowtruckles were looking around curiously. The Bowtruckles were small, only about ten centimeters long.
